IRTIM Minimum Clock Frequency

Hi, is there a recommended minimum clock frequency to reliably run an RC5 transmitter with IRTIM?

Please refer to the Application Note AN4834 specifically section 2 Infrared transmitter which contains information that clearly explains the IRTIM and RC5 protocol

Hi Elabi, I have read that app note and few others, perhaps I should have more explicit. I have a working RC5 transmitter so have the timers set correctly. As this is a battery operated device I want to reduce current draw. To this end running at the minimum SYSCLK frequency would be an advantage. I was wondering if there is any guidance on the minimum SYSCLK recommended?

My empirical testing has suggested 1MHz is too slow resulting in unreliable transmission, and 2MHz seems to work quite well. Is this reasonable?
