About the board NUCLEO F446RE

Is it possie, with that board, and for learning purpose, to drive external devices such servomotors?

If so, how are they connected to the board?

    You can use the different Timers of this board to control your servomoteur. A lot of tutorial and examples are available on the internet and youtube on how to do this. (Most of them are elaborated by users).
