STM32F746BGT6 (LQFP208) 10" LCD Flickering Issue

Hi Folks,

I’m currently observing flickering on a 10" TFT LCD screen and would appreciate some expert advice regarding the connections for LCD_CLK, LCD_HSYNC, and LCD_VSYNC.

At present, the signals are connected as follows:

  1. MCU LCD_CLK → Non-Inverting Buffer IC → 22Ω series resistor → 300Ω @ 100 MHz Ferrite Bead (1 signal line) → LCD LCD_CLK

  2. MCU LCD_HSYNC → Non-Inverting Buffer IC → 300Ω @ 100 MHz Ferrite Bead (1 signal line) → LCD LCD_HSYNC

  3. MCU LCD_VSYNC → Non-Inverting Buffer IC → 300Ω @ 100 MHz Ferrite Bead (1 signal line) → LCD LCD_VSYNC

Could anyone please advise whether the flickering could be due to:

  • Incorrect ferrite bead selection or signal integrity issues?

  • Potential hardware-level filtering/matching concerns?

  • Or something that may need to be addressed in software configuration?

Any guidance, suggestions, or debugging tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance!

Hard to know, have you got video that's illustrative of the specific nature of the issue?

    Backlight?

    Settings?

    Memory Bandwidth?

    Resolution? 1280 x 768 is about the ceiling with 32-bit SDRAM @ 100 MHz
