STM32F746NGH6 can we directly replace by STM32F779NIH6 or STM32F777NIH6

Hello Team,

Currently we are using STM32F746NGH6 MCU. But we want 2Mb flash memory in same series. But in same series there is 2Mb flash memory is not available.

So, we are checking about STM32F779NIH6 or STM32F777NIH6. Can we directly replace STM32F746NG by STM32F779NIH6 or STM32F777NIH6. Is it pin to pin compatible?

Please provide your valuable inputs.

If you are looking to find what MCUs are compatible with your's, you can use CubeMX. CubeMX will list pin-compatible parts. All you have to do is to create a project based on your chip, configure it if you want, then go to Pinout -> List Pinout Compatible MCUs.

I am not familiar with CubeMX tool.

So, please help me to check about Can we directly replace STM32F746NGH6 by STM32F779NIH6 or STM32F777NIH6. Is it pin to pin compatible? 

If is it pin to pin compatible, please suggest EVAL board information also.

I checked in CubeMX tool.

Tool suggest compatible MCU is STM32F779NIH6 against STM32F746NGH6.

But if, I compared both datasheets then I found there is a pin type is change.

STM32F779NIH6 is not due to the DSI pins. CubeMX shouldn't be telling you they're compatible here.

STM32F777NIH6 looks to be pin to pin compatible.
