Unable to Connect to NUCLEO-STM32H7S3L8 in STM32CubeProgrammer or STM32CubeIDE

Hello all,

I am working with a NUCLEO-STM32H7S3L8 board, but I am unable to connect to it using STM32CubeProgrammer or flash firmware using STM32CubeIDE. However, I am still able to update the board’s firmware successfully.

Possible Cause:

I suspect that I might have pressed the reset button while flashing firmware to the device, which could have caused the issue.

Issue:

  • Unable to connect to the board via STM32CubeProgrammer
  • Unable to flash firmware in STM32CubeIDE
  • I cannot perform a hard reset because it requires a connection in STM32CubeProgrammer

Question:

What steps can I take to recover my board and regain access?

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!!

    Dearest Kaouthar,

The solution you shared solved the problem. The board is functional again.

I was getting the error "Error: No STM32 target found! If your product embeds Debug Authentication, please perform a discovery using Debug Authentication."

    Thank you so much!!
