Hello all, i tried to search for a solution within the STM community but none of the solution helps.Please guideI have using a STM32MP157F board. I have set the dev board according to the manual. I am a 100% new to the stm32mp1 series. I have been working with the stm32f3 most recently.I need help with direction on where should I start, down to the selected hardware. (not sure if stm32mp1 is even the right choice)So here is what at trying to accomplish:HTML5 Integration Protocol, Client Application Link:The client (stm32) sends a multicast JSON message containing information. The MFD parses the JSON message and, when appropriate, display the webpage with the icon.I need to know how to send the contents in the .json file, it would be nice if I could upload my .json file to sd card send it the via ethernet.Any direction would be much appreciated!!I am truly sorry for the lack of knowledge. 

I have STM32CubeMX Version 6.10, STM32CubeIDE Version: 1.14.1with installed BSP STM32Cube_FW_MP13_V1.0.0When I create new bare project starting from evalboard STM32MP135F-DK as bare metal projectthen select NETXDUO, THREADX in Middleware and Software Packs...but settings related to NETXDUO is grayedThe project can be compiled... but  generated code did not have included libraries to use THREADX and NETXDUO (compared to examples from BSP Applications projects)Thanks in advance for any suggestions... how to generate correctly project with MiddlewaresRegardsRadim

I know this is probably a really *** question but how do I actually use the data I send from the A4 to the M7 of the STM32MP1 chips?  I ran the examples that are clearly setup to send messages from the M4 to the A7 via the virtual UART, which are then echoed onto the Linux Console.  Let's say I wanted to send a command to the A7.  If I sent the text "gotosleep" from the M4 to the A7 over the virtual UART, which would then trigger the A7 to run "systemctl suspend" to put the A7 in suspend mode, how would I approach that?  I haven't quite figure out how to essentially trigger the A7 to execute a script (such as putting it to sleep) from the A4.  It seems like it's probably a pretty simple process, I'm just not sure where to look.  Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

Hi, I have a STM32MP157F-DK2 with a firmware running with remoteproc and using remoteproc and rpmsg drivers to communicate with userspace through ttyRPMSG0, created at firmware init with libmetal and openAMP libraries. After multiple days of research, I couldn't find any way to implement another ttyRPMSG in order to have, for example, ttyRPMSG0 handling data_0 and ttyRPMSG1 handling data_1. - I tried to create a second endpoint to the existing channels : 2 ttyRPMSG are created but managing ring buffers is a pain as there are only 2 and it seems like they share their mailbox (That's like i have 2 RPMSG but are in fact one). Moreover, the dest_addr of the second endpoint seems to not be set (the first endpoint dest addr value is set to a specific value by the driver, but the second one stays at 0xffffffff : default value).- I tried to add a device managing its own channel and so that he can create endpoints as it wants, but my device tree seems to not handle very well mult

Hi,I have a current project using the M7 that I need to port over to the A7. The goal is to be running bare-metal code on the A7, like we are on the M7. Currently, I am following this open source guide to run bare-metal on the A7 and it seems to work fine. Does ST provide any support for running bare-metal on the A7? Does the stmCubeIDE allow for this? Is there a guide on porting a project from the M7 over to the A7? Any help or information regarding this would be helpful! Thanks!

I am developing a custom board based on STM32MP151C MPU (TFBGA 361pins) with a RMII Ethernet PHY, and I have a simple question regarding to the PHY interrupt signal -sorry if this is a duplicated question, I haven't found a related topic in the forum-.Is it mandatory to route the PHY interrupt output signal to a ETH1_PHY_INTN pin (any of the pins with this alternate function available) to capture interrupts? I have checked evaluation boards, and:MB1263 board (STM32MP157FAA1) uses PG0, which does not has ETH1_PHY_INTN as an AFMB1272 board (STM32MP157CAC3) uses PA6, which does not has ETH1_PHY_INTN as an AFIf PHY interrupt pin can be routed to any MP1 interrupt-capable pin, what is the purpose of the ETH1_PHY_INTN alternate function?Many thanks in advance. Hello,I'd like to setup a DMA transfer to feed a SPI Display with 8192 bytes per DMA cycle. To offload the MP1 I want to do this with the help of the M4 coprocessor. For my tests I am using the CubeIDE and a custom board. As a basis for learning I tried the example "SPI_FullDuplex_ComDMA_Master". The example (FW_MP1_V1.6.0) itself waits for a keypress and then starts exactly one DMA transfer, I can see the clock pulses on the scope.Since I need a peridoc refresh of the display, I tried as an experiment to wrap a simple loop together with a delay around the DMA-Send section but for some reason the DMA does not repeat, it gets stuck in ahspi->State = HAL_SPI_STATE_BUSY_TX_RXstate and the error handler is called.  while(1) { if(HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive_DMA(&hspi4, (uint8_t*)aTxBuffer, (uint8_t *)aRxBuffer, BUFFERSIZE) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); } HAL_Delay(50); } Why is the "DMA-in-a-loop" not working?I can increase the time to HAL_Delay(1000) but that makes n

I'm not good at english I tried using stm32cube programmer uart mode.but  "Error: Activating device: KO. Please, verify the boot mode configuration and check the serial port configuration. Reset your device then try again..."  returned I'm using stm32mp135 custom board, so i read stm32mp135 datasheet and found this part  I'm worried about USART3/6 and UART4/5/7/8 on "default pins"I use uart4, but use another pin set.uart4_TX -> PA9uart4_RX -> PD8 Is the error related to this part? 

Hi there, I'm trying to integrate in my linux distribution (custom board based on STM32MP153) a LTE Modem (uBlox Lena R8) which is controllable via USB. At the powerup is see that the device tries to enable the USB (it should bring up 8 virtual COM/ttyUSBx):   [ 1168.245519] usb 2-1: new high-speed USB device number 2 using ehci-platform [ 1169.475865] usb 2-1: USB disconnect, device number 2 [ 1171.745516] usb 2-1: new high-speed USB device number 3 using ehci-platform   but no ttyUSB is created. I'm pretty sure now that some driver is missing, because if I connect the usb from the module on a physical USB port on a desktop environment, it shows all the ttyUSB endpoint correctly. from lsusb command I can see that the module is recognized hw side:   Bus 001 Device 003: ID 1782:4d10 Spreadtrum Communications Inc. UNISOC-8910  So I think that some usb serial / Spreadtrum driver is needed... Does anybody have an idea? H

Hello,we are developing IoT device for which we are planning to use STM32MP135D MPU placed on our custom SoM.To do test before SoM is ready, I have obtained a STM32MP135F-DK. There are some concerns about the 'factory programming' of such device.With the STM32MP135F-DK the method I have tried is to set all Boot switches (BOOT0, BOOT1, BOOT2 pins) to 0. Then the device boots into "Force USB boot for programming" mode, and the firmware can be uploaded using STM32 Programmer CLI running on PC. It works fine.As pic. 1 shows, also USART3 can be used for factory programming and that was the plan for SoM. Of course first I wanted to try it with DK. But unfortunately, the default USART3 TX and RX pins aren't accessible at STM32MP135F-DK GPIO connector. After research I came to conclusion that also USART6, UART4, UART5, UART7, UART8 are not accessible at that STM32MP135F-DK.1. Is my conlusion right? Can I somehow test factory programming using USART instead of USB with STM32MP135F-DK?2. Maybe w

We have made a custom board which uses the STPMIC but it is on I2C2. Unfortunately we do not have time to remake the board to move the STPMIC to I2C4 or I2C6 so I am trying to get Linux to boot with a modified STM32MP157D-DK1. I have connected pins PD7 and PG15 (I2C2_SDA and I2C2_SCL respectively) to I2C pull-up resistors. I made the patch to ARM Trusted Firmware as detailed on the PMIC page: https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/PMIC_hardware_components and ARM Trusted Firmware boots to the point of loading BL32 (OPTEE-OS). My understanding of the log attached is that the driver for the I2C2 is failing (along with the IWDG but I think that is because I haven't specified any timeouts). I am going to continue debugging the driver but if there was any more guidance it would be great? Thank you for your time :)

Good morning, I've been trying to get EFI boot working from emmc. After configuring flash layouts to contain fat32 efi partition and getting through uboot and optee configuration to properly flash using cube programmer, I can't seem to figure out why the uboot fails to load the EFIed kernel during boot process. It would seem as if the kernel image is missing the efi stub, but my kernel config would suggest otherwise.Any ideas on how to get the EFI boot to work?

Hello, We are currently in the process of bringing up and industrializing an embedded STM32MP1 board with eMMC as main data storage. We would like to flash the eMMC via U-boot using a tsv file. We have a couple of tsv files that are working correctly, but some aren't and it's been really hard (not to say a real pain) to debug precisely the issue of why exactly the file is wrong. Using the following command : ./STM32_Programmer_CLI -c port=usb1 -d board-emmc.tsv, the error I get is the following : Error: TSV file proto-new.tsv not conform: it may miss some columns or fieldsError: TSV flashing service failed This is generic and provides no detailed infos about the actual error.Is there any tools or ways to further debug tsv files ? Sorry if I'm missing something obvious ... Quentin

Hi all,I would like to design a device with the following features:Dual Gigabit ethernet,Encrypted communication: SNMPv3, HTTPS, SMTPS.I am looking for a SoC that makes it possible to achieve this functionality. After doing some research, I have found the STM32MP135F which seems to be able to achieve this functionality. There is a development board of the mentioned SoC, but it has 2 ethernet ports that run only at 100Mb/s. Regarding the STM32MP135F datasheet, it is able to run two gigabit ports by having two RGMII interfaces.My Concerns are:1) Is it possible to run gigabit ethernet by using the STM32MP135F SoC?2) If yes, then I am wondering if there is an easy way to test it?3) Can I test the GbE link by using the STM32MP135F-DK board? 4) Are there other ICs (that would require less complicated design), that allow to achieve the same functionality?Any help is apprecciated!
