STM32CubeMonitor (MCUs)

Trying to measure consumption of a sub-GHz radio device, and I keep getting this error:It always seems to happen at the time of a Tx.This is a really unhelpful message, as it gives no clue at all as to what the issue was - therefore is no help at all in resolving it.:pouting_face: The only thing mentioned under 'Troubleshooting' in UM2269 is USB overflow, with the suggestion being to reduce the acquisition frequency. So I reduced it to minimum (100Hz) - but still the problem persists.So I tried using the basic terminal interface instead of the GUI - and I get this:1578-06 2086-06 1146-05 1130-05 7516-05 end   error: Overcurrent >59mA, dynamic acquisition stopped   summary beg 0000-10 7516-05 summary endSo there is actually no "connection issue" at all - it is an error report from the board!Surely, the GUI should be able to handle such reports, and present them to the User - instead of sending us on a wild goose chase looking for non-existent "connection issues" ?:pouting_f

Is it possible to use node-red-contrib-image-output to view an image located in RAM in an array of 40kB (40960 bytes)?Issue #1: In "variables" node only [9999:0] elements can be selected.Issue #2: It is a need to group them into format of what node-red-contrib-image-output can consume.

Hi, I'm trying to use CubeMonitor to access public variables of a base class, and CubeMonitor doesn't see them.The general structure I have is:class Base { public: int var_1; int var_2;}class Derived: public Base { public: int var_3; int var_4;}When I load the corresponding *.elf file into CubeMonitor....I can see:instanceDerived.var_3,instanceDerived.var_4but I can't see:instanceDerived.var_1,instanceDerived.var_2I expect that "public" variables in the base class should be "public" variables in the derived class. Why can't I see them? Is there something I'm doing wrong? Best,Nat

I'm trying to measure an IoT device current consumption with the devKit STM32L562E-DK. It claims to measure currents from 300 nA to 150 mA but I'm unable to measure any current beyond 50mA. Hi,first I want to say that STM32CubeMonitor (I am running 1.1.0) is a really fantastic debug tool, and it was a really good idea from ST do use nodered for this.It makes many debug tasks A LOT easier than before and it is really a lot of fun to play with. Hi, I need to monitor variables from my program in CubeMonitor. I was able to follow a few videos from Youtube and set up the values in a chart. However, that is a very clunky interface. Please note that I have zero experience with nodered.

Hi,i am new with node-red functionality and i want to decrease the digits in a Gauge.When i start the Dashboard i get the temperature in e.g. 21.77615442345 degrees. And i want to show it with 2 digits e.g. 21.78 degrees.Ho can i do this?

This might seem like a noob Q but how can I monitor an array in Cube Monitor? I find it really confusing and as the screen shot below shows, I can only see the 0th element of the array but not the others. Am I missing something?

Hello.Firstly - thank you for a great tool. My issue is that I am debugging several systems in parallell. The monitor is great for this. But I happends to have several ST-Link probes with serial numbers that ends with the same numbers. As I am adding more probes, it becomes impossible to tell them apart. The names all comes up with only the last digits of the serial number and no way to rename them. Am I missing something or will it be possible to have the complete serialnumber in the name?Best regardsHans Rosendahl

Dear all,I used STMStudio until today to watch multiples values in real time.Today i want to use STM32CubeMonitor and it seems a very interesting tool.However i don't find a quick way to visualize multiple variables values in a array like STMstudio allowed it.The only solution i found today is to get my variables, then perform a switch to get only one variable and disply each variable with a text : My text node content to display the variable and its value is : Is there a better way ? Indeed, with this solution, if i have to display 50 variables i need to put 50 text nodes on my page.With STMStudio it was really easier. I think there is a better solution i don't know.Best regards,

When starting STM32CubeMonitor it displays a dialog reporting "Application server port already in use"; the application then exits when the dialog is closed.In the details it says that port 1880 is already in use; however netstat doesn't show this port as being used. (Windows 10, 64-bit).Any suggestions?Thanks,Simon

Recently I have been tasked with developing our companies embedded testing strategy. The task is little bit above me since this is my first job, however I am determined to learn anything I need to and put together a solution that works for the company. The embedded team is small: only 4 of us + 1 electronics team member who is willing to lend a hand in writing software.We are working with STM32 series of MCU with the ST Cube Ecosystem of tools. At the moment the company has no formal testing procedure. We are also short on time & manpower.I have introduced a unit testing framework recently, however it has its weakness (not all embedded code can be tested, maintaining it is harder, just need a single API call HAL then the unit testing framework gets confused.)I have been looking around the web a bit and most people say: yeh we use python to automate our testing of embedded systems etc .... what does that mean, how do you use python scripts to test your system, is there any framework

I'm on a Mac, and CMD+V does not seem to work for paste. I'm not able to copy or paste any text from within or from outside into cube monitor. this makes some things pretty tedious! any idea what this is about?

Hello, lets say i have more than one project in a lifetime. How can i use CubeMonitor to use different Projects? Its very weired that all flows are linked together in any way. Why is it not as the old tool STM Studio, there you can create a own project for every MCU project you want. Then you can copy and share this project to anyone else. I think i like CubeMonitor and maybe i am just to stupid, but for me it seems much to complicated to use this tool with different projects. (fast switch between them)Any help for me?;)Thanx
