STM32CubeMX (MCUs)

Hello community,I use STM32CubeMX 6.10.0 in Ubuntu 23.10.Each time I start a session, I noticed that about 65 MBytes of data are used in ~/.stm32cubemx/.jxbrowser-7.35.1/Profile/xxxx which are never deleted when I exit.A new profile subfolder is created each time, whereas I am the only user of the tool on my system, what does that mean ??After a few weeks working, the total amount of wasted space can reach a few GBytes !Note that I get the same issue with STM32CubeIDE 1.14.0, see my message here https://community.st.com/t5/stm32cubeide-mcus/stm32cubeide-creates-a-lot-of-garbage-in-user-home-directory/m-p/622710#M23007The only difference is that with STM32CubeMX it occurs when using the "Manage Embedded Software Package" menu, whereas with STM32CubeIDE it occurs always...

Hello community,I have just installed the latest release 6.10.0 of STM32CubeMX on latest Ubuntu 23.10 and tried to play a little with it.Previously I was using a very old release in my projects and uninstalled it quite a long time ago for many reasons.Now the first thing I notice is this kind of connected stuff which obliges me to create an account and login every time I need to download a new MCU pack. What is the point to do that ? As far as I know, this contents is public and has always been for years. Moreover it is fully available in GitHub repositories. I don't get the added-value for a single user like me to be logged to do that. Is there any big data analysis behind ? I know I have to consent to let ST collecting personal data when I install the tools, but hey ST... be honest and tell us what you really do with them. Hi,I need help configuring a USART connection between a STM32L452RE Nucleo Board and a ESP8266-01 wifi chip. My goal is to send AT Commands from the STM32 to the ESP8266.I currently have my USART TX and RX connected to the RX and TX respectively of my ESP8266 board, and I've noticed that the LED is flashing on the ESP8266 when debugging through these commands, indicating that a signal is indeed being sent via my USART. However, i've noticed that the data has been scrambled on send and receive, as if i change the password to my wifi hotspot, I am unable to connect to it. By piping the USART1 RX directly to my serial monitor, I noticed a significant amount of scrambling.I have proved that this sequence of commands works as intended, and have been able to connect my ESP8266 to an arduino uno, as well as an STM32 bluepill using RX and TX in default mode, but my attempts to get my project to work on the STM32L452RE have failed.The way that I am piping the commands is shown above, and the ou

Hi all, Currently I am trying to program the STEVAL-MKI109V3 carrying the STEVAL-MKI227KA sensor board via the STM32cubeMX and IDE platforms. However the STEVAL-MKI109V3 board is not available on the STM32cubeMX software. Are there any expansion packs or such that I can download to support a preconfigured board like the MKI109V3? Thanks in advance! 

I'm using STM32H733VGT6, USB configured as: External Phy: Device_Only,Speed: Device Full Speed 12 Mbit/s, USB tacting from HSI48 And initialization ends up in Error_Handler(), anyway.. All is up-to-date, updated today, software packages, etc, STM32CubeMX version: 6.10.0  Initialization trace is:MX_USB_OTG_HS_PCD_Init() ->  HAL_PCD_Init(&hpcd_USB_OTG_HS) ->  runs USB_CoreInit  (line 184 of stm32h7xx_hal_pcd.c) ->     runs USB_CoreReset (line 101 of stm32h7xx_II_usb) ->     returns HAL_TIMEOUT (line 1413 of stm32h7xx_II_usb) ->     returns to Error_Handler()   Any suggestions? Hallo, I am working with CubeMX. I want to install the package in the repository.In my software, it says that C:/Users/Divya/STM32Cube/Repository/ is my repository location. When I searched, i can't found this folder in my laptop. How to proceed from now? Also, I tried to change the location, but couldn't manage. If you have faced such problem, let me know.Thank you.

Hi I have seen problems with stm32h7 cube uart bug.The Sources for uarts are pll2q but when debugging :It says pclk1 and pclk2 are configured.And even with these values baud rate will not be what I set. I have to divide  it by 2 (clock divider is 1).I searched in registers and i see RCC_D2CCIP2R is not initialized(its zero).This register is the clock selection for UART. When i manually set proper value for it the baud rate wont be ok yet. So i think even pll2q is not configured properly too.

Hi all, how are you?. I'm making a project with an STM32F401VE and I've updated the IDE, after that there are about ten dependencies that says something related to inknown dependencies and the .ioc project doesn't opens. I read some over there and some other people had the same problem after the STM32Cube IDE was updated, currently for me is showing this problem with the version Version: 1.5.1, Build: 9029_20201210_1234 (UTC).I tried also to import the project or creating a new project but the behavior is the same. How could this problem be solved?In the meantime I will simply reinstall the IDE

STM32f103vet6It's in the manual that SDIO adapter clock (SDIOCLK = HCLK).  When HCLK is set to 72MHz, SDIO_CK is configured through the register SDIO_CLKCR bit 7:0(CLKDIV). When the bypass clock is not used, SDIO_CK=SDIOCLK/[CLKDIV+2], which should be the frequency division of 72MHzBut the default parameter in the code generated by STM32CubeMX is to divide 48MHz. The two macros in the file stm32f1xx_ll_sdmmc.h are defined for 48MHz, and these two macros are used when calling the HAL SD Init function.If used in this way, it will cause overclocking. 

Hello Team, Hello i have a Nucleo H745ZI_Q board in this Ethernet without RTOS is working fine but  when am going to configure ADC  all the three ADCs are shows error message --> Partly Disabled conflict with: ETH: mode RMII   even many channels also showing error message . Hi all.My team has been working on a project that contains a SD card based on Standard Library. Recently we've decided to migrate to HAL and it started.Fortunately, All part of our project were changed as well as possible to HAL and they're working great but we don't know why SD card doesn't work well.We have not changed peripheral's configuration clocks, but we had to change "clock frequency of the SDMMC controller" to 1.5MHz in HAL while it was 24MHz in STDLibrary. Because, it didn't work at all.In addition, our customers are using a wide range of SD card types and all of them are OK but not great. I mean, FR_DISK_ERR is returned a lot in during of working but our device tries to get FR_OK.Unfortunately, we always receive FR_DISK_ERR in some SD cards while, it worked all the time in our STDLibrary version.Furthermore, we've found if "f_mount" function was called once and after that you take away the SD card and put it again, it will never work until you reset your microcontroller.My

I created new program using latest CubeMX 6.10.0, I use Keil. I upload without any problems.I use ST Link v3 connected to PA13 (SWDIO) , PA14 (SWCLK)The program is running but when I try to connect again it says STM32 not found.I cannot debug, I cannot download again.There is no extra code, only plain code created by CubeMX, all pins are not enabled, nothing.Still the same problem. I connect pin BOOT0 to 3.3V and suddenly I can access the chip again and upload program. When I use program created by older CubeMX, I do not have this problem.Has anybody seen something like this ? There must be something with the code generated by latest CubeMXI haven't check other chips I have noticed this only with STM32F103CBT6. Other might be affected too.   

Hello,I'm currently working with the STM32H745I-DISCO board, using STM32CubeIDE and STM32CubeMX v1.14.0 for peripheral initialization. Initially, I enabled SDMMC1 on the Cortex-M7 core, which worked well - the necessary resources were added to my project under the "STM32H7xx_HAL_Driver" folder:stm32h7xx_hal_mmc.cstm32h7xx_hal_mmc_ex.cstm32h7xx_ll_sdmmc.cSubsequently, I attempted to enable SDMMC1 for the Cortex-M4 core as well (while keeping the initializer on Cortex-M7). However, STM32CubeMX automatically disabled the MX_SDMMC1_MMC_Init function for the M4 core. To address this, I unchecked the relevant option in Advanced Settings and regenerated the code. Unfortunately, this didn't update the linked resources for the M4 project, leading to a compilation error due to an "undefined reference to `HAL_MMC_Init'".In an additional test, I enabled SDMMC1 exclusively for the M4 core, which resulted in the removal of linked resources from the M7 project but did not add them to the M4 core. I want to understand what the difference is between ADC1_IN0 versus GPIO_Analog. I have looked through numerous manuals and all over the Internet and all through ST Microelectronics website and cannot find a definitive answer. What is the difference, if any, why would I use one over the other, it at all? #gpio-analog-adc #mx-gpio-analog

In CubeMX when configuring a SPI peripheral I can only choose either 8 or 16 bit, but the STM32G491 reference manual says data size can be from 4 to 16 bit. Is this a bug in CubeMX?(using the newest CubeMX version)

I went to use STM32CubeMX and I get the splash screen then nothing. I downloaded and installed the latest version V6.10.0 and still the same. I am running windows 10 professional. Does anyone else have this problem ? I wonder if there has been a Java update that has broken this ?

We are using CubeMX (incl. FreeRtos) to update our settings.The problem is that CubeMX will always create a default task in the main. We also tried to remove the following line from the ioc file "FREERTOS.Tasks01=defaultTask,0,128,StartDefaultTask,Default,NULL" but it will automatically rewrite it.Is there a way to disable the default task code generation ?Thanks

Hello,Working on an STM32F412 µC, with the last F4 firmware package ans last MXWhen configuring to use SDIO with 1Bit interface, everything works fine. Hi everyone. Maybe this my doing or an oversight by ST?CubeMX places the MX_LWIP_Init(); function in the first listed RTOS task witch is far from ideal. In my case the "first task" is dynamically created depending on a multitude of different factors. This resulted in the init function not being called and later being called multiple times during runtime.It's an easy fix, just move the function call somewhere else. It just doesn't seem right that the generation tool does this...(つಠ_ʖಠ)つ  

Hello everyone,I'm currently involved in a project and I'm aiming to analyze the peripheral initialization parameters of a specific target by examining the .ioc file. I parsing through the ioc file like a text file. While the .ioc file contains details of the modified parameters, it doesn't include the default values. Given that these values are updated within the STMCUBEMX UI, I suspect that there might be a file within the installation directory that stores this information. Could someone kindly direct me to the specific file that contains these default values?Thank you.

Hi,I am facing an issue with the cubeMx UI. After using it for some time about 10 to 15 minutes, the UI is overlapping each other. Then I need to close the UI and start again. Again the issue is present after some time. CubeMx Version : 6.10.0

When building and flashing the example with Keil uVision, everything works fine. I would like to port this example project to a Makefile project. I have used STM32CubeMX to generate a Makefile project. The .ioc file is given in the example project. This worked fine. I can build the project after manually adding a few .c files into the Makefile, which CubeMX didn't catch. After flashing the resulting binary, the onboard LCD is working fine. But the Software starts to hang during capture start as there are no HAL_DCMI_FrameEventCallback(). I can verify this with a debugger. The camera seems to be running, checking with an oscilloscope,
