Hello,  I currently have SPC560P chip which I am able to program using SPC5 Studio and Debug using SPC5-UDESTK. The compiler that I have currently selected is "FreeGCC with VLE Support" by going to the Application Configuration -> SPC560Pxx Platform Component RLA -> Build Settings.I see the other options in the dropdown of Compiler Variant such as Hightech and GreenHills. The issue that I am currently facing is that I am modifying only a part of the existing code and I need to use another compiler when merging with the old code. So I was wondering if I can change the compiler to "mwcceppc" from "FreeGCC with VLE Support"  in SPC5 Studio ? If Yes, how ? I have added the path to "mwcceppc" in the SPC5 Studio -> Windows -> Preferences -> C/C++ -> Build -> Environment. And also the same in Project Properties. But I believe the settings in Configuration.xml will override these settings ?Let me know if this is a possibility or not.

Hi, I am developing SPC58EG in SPC5 Studio.I want to use I2C communication with a RTC device.However, I cannot find any example for I2C in the IDE.How do I get the reference to develop I2C?Thank you.

Hi ST Team, MCU is SPC584B70E1. CAN0 is used as ISR-Rx normally. I want to choose "CAN FIFO 0 Rx New message Interrupt" as Wake-up Source. In SPC5 Studio, I configurated on WKPU Configuration setting , I selected INT 0 as WakeUp Source and in the CAN setting FIFO is ENABLE vs. Without wkpu_lld_start() and STOP0 Mode, CAN works expectedly. With Filtered IDs ISR_Rx_Buffer_Callback() executes, with the specific (Wake-Up message) packet FIFO_Rx_Callback() executes. But together with wake-up configuration does not works.  Is it possible to use "CAN FIFO 0 Rx New message Interrupt" as Wake-up Source??If it is ,how? On SPC5 IDE, How to configurate WKPU settings?

Hi,I am using the SPC564B74 to measure the frequency of a square wave signal. The problem is that I have a some artifact measurements that cause problems on my application. A few times per minute, the measured frequency randomly drops to zero or an intermediate value and I don't understand the root cause. I made measurements and it is software related. I am using the eMIOS module in MCB mode. The signal is the output of a variable reluctance sensor measuring a motor RPM, ranging from  4 Hz to 8000 Hz.The SPC564 is clocked with a 40 MHz cristal. (FXOSC 40MHz → PLL 120MHz → Peripheral Set 3 Prescaler = 2 → Peripheral Set 3 = 60 MHz (ADC0, ADC1, eMIOS0, eMIOS1)eMIOS0 prescaler = 15 → eMIOS0 CLK = 4MHz For good precision in low and high frequencies, I am measuring 16 periods (32 edges) of the input signal. The measured signal is mapped to PA[1] and I am using eMIOS0 channel 1 as MCB_UP. Hi,We are looking at the schematics of the EVB-VIC3DA (https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/evb-vic3da.html#cad-resources) and it looks like that the board could be powered at 1.8V but according to the datasheet the min recommended voltage is 2.97 volts. Why is there a 1.8V option for the eval board? Thanks. 

Hi!When I trigger the built-in LVD self-test for the Power Management Unit by writing PMUCTRL.CTRL.B.SILHT = 1, the PMUCTRL_FAULT register immediately indicates a low voltage detector fault and the MCU goes into SAFE mode. If I trigger the HVD test by writing PMUCTRL.CTRL.B.SILHT = 2, then it indicates a high voltage detector fault. However, when sampling ADC channel 10 (VREG_1.2V) which is the voltage measured in these self-tests (if I understand correctly), then it says exactly 1.2 volts. So it appears the PMU is giving a false positive and reacting even while the voltage is OK. What could be the cause of this? At first I thought that the chip was just broken. But this strange behavior appears on three different chips that I have tried on, so it's not just one individual bad unit. Then I thought this might be a general error in the SPC56 chip. But the reference manual errata document does not mention this as a known design flaw. My last idea was that there mi

 SR5E1E7 IO_Definitions (excel file attached to TN1404) shows some information I need help with. There a sheet called "IO Muxing Table" where there are several possible functions for different pins on the SR5E1x series. One of the columns "Special mapping" has HSM UART and HSM DO functions listed for ports PA[6] and PA[7].I've looked in the datasheet or reference manual (RM0483) but not found the info I need. Where can I look to find an explanation of what that pin function does/how it works?Is it a special status for UART2 (listed as another alternate function for those ports) if used on those pins or an entirely different function?

I want to clear the FCCU flags on my SPC56 chip. I am developing a safety application on the SPC56EL60L3 platform. The reference manual RM0032 §43.1.3 outlines the steps for verifying the test results of the STCU (Self-test control unit). As I understand it, I first have to check the actual test status and then I should perform a number of extra checks using the STCU_LBS, STCU_LBE (etc) registers to see whether the test results are reliable. I have two questions regarding this. First, I am unable to find a clear instruction on how to actually do the first step, i.e. see the status of the test result. I assume I can do it by reading the FCCU status flags CF[20] and NCF[12], but that is not explicitly stated in the STCU chapter. Can anyone please confirm if I am correct in my assumption or if I should do it in another way? Secondly, in case of no reported errors, the manual tells me to "confirm that the signature registers of each of the LBIST results match their corresponding expected values" and to "read the&

Hi All,I am using SPC50B60-L5 controller and spc5 studio (IDE) for building a project. And PEmicro multilink programmer for programming. I have built the project successfully. In build results I can see .hex, .elf, .bin out files but, I need .s19 file for flashing using PROGPPCNEXUS software. In project properties>c/c++ Build path I can't see any build settings for generating .s19 file. Can anyone please help me with this?Thanks

Dear Community, I am working on an SPI-based setup where I have one SPI master and four SPI slaves, each connected to the master via their respective Slave Select (SS) lines. The configuration for the SPI master and the chip select lines is set up using SPC5 Studio, with each slave having a separate SPI configuration. Currently, I need to pass a different configuration to this function for each slave. I'm using the SPC5EC58 chip, and i want to switch some relays. This works so far. The problem is, during the reset mode even i'm setting it by Hardware like by a button or in the debugging mode, the pins which controlls the relays are set to high, can i somehow disable that ? because the board is used in a critical environment, where the relays shouldn't be triggered by something like the reset.

good morning. i have a problem regarding button and time interrruptions. for the button, i linked it to the mcu but i do not know if i have to put the input as gpio or wake up, moreover, i do not know how to use the IRQ GUI, i do not know how it works or the code to put in it. the samples examples are not made for my spc58ec and do not use the applications directly. for the time interruption i have the same problem. i want to use asimple  led blinking like in the example below , the interruption would turn it into high or low. best regards  

good morning. i just finished my code that makes a led blink. i pinned it on the GUI and wrote the code on the main. before flashing it i want to know what is the problem of my pin: it is written that the symbol can not be resolved even thougt there is no error when i build the code. however, there is an error logo next to my project moreover. i want to know if i can get real tutorials and samples on basics of SPC: use of registers, interruptions, ports... i searched a lot and only got the 8 part videos on Autoddevkit. searching on this forum i saw that other people are struggling finding low level examples to really understand spc5

good morningi want to create a simple led blinking code. for that, i got the path of the led 8 of my aek-mcu-c4mlit1. it is pk1gpio1 and is connected to the branch 25. i connected it on the gui and wanted to code in my main. unfortunately, C recognizes port k but not the pin that i just pinned and the function that makes it blinks. so my 2 questions are: how to make it recognize the pin and how to get functions that work kind regards

Hi,I have an STM32U5 communicating with a L9963E in order to balance a series of cells, although I think I may be underestimating/misinterpreting the functionality of the IC as I have been struggling to get the cells to balance correctly.Assuming I have set the registers correctly (relevant cells enabled, flags cleared, thresholds defined etc.), could someone clarify to me if, when I tell the L9963E to balance a selection of cells, the IC will actively discharge the cells with the higher voltages until they all reach an equal (lower) value?Or is the IC just simply discharging the cells I tell it to and that it is the STM32's responsibility to read the cell voltages and disable the balancing for each cell when appropriate? I am aware that there is a "Timed Balancing" mode where I could set the "balancing" time for each cell, but I do not know enough information about the cells in order to determine these values.Many Thanks

Commonly used optimizations include time optimization, which aims to make the code execution time shorter and more efficient, and space optimization, which aims to reduce the space occupied by the generated code.

We are using SPC58xNx 32-bit Power Architecture microcontroller for automotive ASILD applications.We are using third party flashing tool to flash data section multiple time. We are able to flash hex file 12-15 times successfully. But random time it may failed to flash. Since We need to flash multiple ECU in production, we need to make sure each time flashing should happen successful. Tool is getting stuck and instead of programming request it triggering destructive reset. We need to know how to fix this problem.A ‘destructive’ reset source is associated with an event related to a critical, usually hardware, error or dysfunction.
