Hello, I am experiencing issues with my STEVAL-IDP004V2 evaluation board. When I connect the device to my  computer, it is not recognized properly. Attempted to update the USB drivers through device manager, used different USB ports and cables. Where can I download teh drivers? If there are any firmware updates or specific procedures for the STEVAL-IDP004V2 that I might have missed, please let me know.     Thank you for your help

Hello to STM community, I am sharing my problem with you regarding STEVAL-IHP005V1 evaluation kit.  My setup: I am using STEVAL-IHP005V1 power line communication evaluation kit. There is a windows based GUI software provided from ST's side to communicate with this kit via RS-232 protocol. For powering this device there are two option 12V and 3.3V. I am powering up this device by providing 3.3V from USB-TTL module. Till now GUI and kit are successfully communicating with each other. I am able to set/get various parameters to a kit. Both kit's are connected to 220V to 240V AC with 50Hz frequency power lines, via their Neutral and Live terminals.   Actual problem: My problem here is that i want to send data from one module to another module through power lines. I have connected kit's Live and Neutral terminals to power lines. Broadcasting data using GUI and expecting another module to receive it and printed in GUI.I have kept open two windows and both are separately co

Posted on June 19, 2017 at 15:42Hi all,I have 2 different boards for an application i'm developing, i managed to make bluenrg-ms work on one ! but in the other board i send the header and i receive the response 0x02 SPI ready and the size of write buffer and read buffer, but after that all data answered by the module is 0xFF.So i tried to get  the module that was working to the board that was not working, and the result is that now the 2 modules are doing the same behaviour, responding correctly to the header but always sending 0xFF as response, so application never gets the command complete, my question is if it can be a hardware problem maybe i crash the 2 modules. If anyone on ST knows this behaviour would be nice to have an answer!

Hi,I am testing the STEVAL-BFA001V2B development kit to evaluate the use of the IOLink protocol. Using the native project provided in the software package for the STide development environment, the device connects to the master and works correctly. The example firmware has a PDIN_DATA = 32byte and PDOUT_DATA = 0byte. This parameters are passed to the "iold_api_create_dpp1" function which takes care of writing them to Page1 of the DirectParams. In particulare, using 32bytes in PDIN_DATA write the number 159(dec) in the DirectParams with index 5 (see Figure B.5 – ProcessDataIn) We would need to try the case with PDIN_DATA= 16byte and PDOUT_DATA = 0byte. To do this, I changed #define PDIN_LEN to 16 but this doesn't work because in the parameter with index 5 I should find 143(dec), but instead I continue to read 159(dec). Hi, Im interfacing STW81200 with SPI without no success. I do have the following questions:What the SPI mode? Its not clear on the datasheet. It seems that CPOL = 1, and CPHA = 1.In either way, I have tested the communication with several modes and none of them works.On the MCU side, which is the one that will act as a master on spi, whats the configuration for the GPIO pin? Im using STM32L412 and I have set the MISO as an alternate function with push pull open drain and this does not work either.I can confirm that the SPI signal for SCLK and MOSI its working because the data is being pushed out of the pins. Please see the logic analyzer graphs, but MOSI line is not responding.Im following the datasheet section Example of register programming, its required when programming in SPI to have enabled a reference clock or this can be absent? Also, when the MCU is configuring for spi, it clear HW_PD, PD_RF_1 pins. 

ST BLE Sensor 5.2.4 is closed once "Blue Voice Full Duplex" is selected. Below error message shown.

The IO-Link Master (multiport-hub) M12 port on the STEVAL-IDP004V2, has threads on the outside and is female on the inside.The M12 on the STEVAL-IDP003V1 has threads on the outside, and pins on the inside.  Both are 4 or 5 pin compatible. I need cable with a collar on the outside at both ends to go around the threads, and on the inside, male at one end and female at the other to connect the kits. I can't find an assembled cable to connect the two because cables labelled M12-male have threads on the outside and pins on the inside and the M12-female has a collar on the outside and holes on the inside.What part number is needed to connect the two boards together? A 1 metre length cable would suffice.Thank you,-James

Background:Our project utilized ST's IMU sensor LIS3DH, and according to business requirements, we used click interrupt and initial interrupt respectivelyThe sampling frequency is 10HzWe set the duration of the Initial interrupt to 120 to generate an interrupt every 12 secondsWe have also enabled internal high pass filter modeProblem:Through the above configuration, both interrupts can be responded to separately.But when the click interrupt occurs, we want to read the acceleration of the XYZ axis of the IMU sensor. Once I do this, the Inertial interrupt will no longer occur, giving me the feeling that the internal counter is reset every time when the acceleration value is read. My coordinator is supplied with main power, but nodes are powered by alkaline batteries. They are mostly in sleep, but when they waked up, they wanted to exchange datas with their coordinator. I wanted aknowledged communication in both directions. I can do it, but I'd like to use STack features, it it possible. St's application example is focused on single transmitter paired with a receiver. would You attach an sample code for half duplex communication? Hi everyone,I've recently using the BLUENRG-LPS chip for transmitting and receiving data, and I need to store the data from the chip directly into the SD card. Does the BLUENRG-LPS have the SD card driver?I found the STML4xx SD card driver in the BlueNRG-LP_LPS DK, which means the BLUENRG chip needs to work in coprocessor mode, but I haven't found the driver directly for BLUNRG-LPS. Is there a way that I can write the data into the SD card from the BLUENRG-LPS chip directly?Thanks very much!

Have a nice day! I use the Bluenrg-2 chip. As the base project, the Power Consumption Test example is used. The example works fine. But when I use these sources with my bootloader project, a connection problem occurs with BLE_HCI_CONN_FAILED_TO_BE_ESTABLISHED (0x3E) error. Although advertising is working. 

Hello,I am an engineering student currently working on optimizing the throughput of a firmware using BlueNRG-M2 with a Bluenrg-2 chip in Bluetooth 5.2 (https://www.st.com/en/wireless-connectivity/bluenrg-m2.html#st_description_sec-nav-tab).My question is as follows:Can we modify the value of ATT_MTU (Attribute Protocol Maximum Transmission Unit) for this chip? My previous chip was a Bluenrg-M0 in Bluetooth 4.2, and it couldn't have its ATT_MTU value set higher than 23, even though it was Bluetooth 4.2. It seems that some chips, like the MS series, couldn't change the ATT_MTU.So, I decided to switch to Bluetooth 5.2 with the Bluenrg-M2 chip, which has Bluenrg-2, but I'm wondering if it's possible to increase the ATT_MTU value for this chip and, if so, by how much?If it is possible, how can I do it once I receive the chip?I don't find these information in the datasheet I am sorry :(.NB: I saw that DLE is possible with this ship but i am not sure it is the same as modifying the ATT_MTU.Be

I work with a network in which several participants can transmit simultaneously. Each participant can hear the transmission of another. I want to avoid collisions as much as possible. My idea is to use the PL_RX_ON pin of the ST7580 for this purpose. The payload of my packets is always only a few bytes.When exactly does this pin become active and for how long?I would like to prevent packets from being sent when this pin becomes active.

I am evaluating Keil MDK5 for programming my BlueNRG-2 device. I have found that I cannot create a project from scratch with any RTOS support because the CMSIS driver seems to be lacking the Device.Startup section. Looking in the SDK examples for the device, there is a single project BLE_BEACON_FREERTOS. It looks like a port of pieces of the FreeRTOS code to this device that I can use as a starting point, but it's not a very satisfactory answer to not be able to generate a project from scratch but instead to have to rely on a questionable and undocumented port. It also does not contain an Atollic project, so I assume that I cannot use any of the ST toolchain to develop with this model. Is this my only option? This device isn't supported by STCube, it doesn't appear to be fully supported by Keil, and there is no RTOS support in Atollic even though that environment nominally supports it. Hello;My Name is FATIHI am using Wireless MBUS water meter scanning using S2LP and STM32L073. While making the PCB design, we applied the reference design value in the x-nucleo-s2868a2_schematic.pdf file exactly. However, although we see VDD voltage on Pin 1 on S2LP, SMPS voltage does not occur on Pin 2.1. The SDN pin is grounded2. We observed the 50 MHz oscillator output from the oscillator.3. Main voltage supplies are okbut we still cannot get analogue voltage output on pin 2 (SMPS1 Analog Output). therefore S2LP is not working.But our circuit works if we make an external supply of 1.5VDC from pin 3. Data sending and receiving operations WMBUS telegrams are transmitted successfully.Also; When we connected the x-nucleo-s2868a2 board with External SPI Cables through our microprocessor of our PCB, we observed that we saw the smps1 voltage on the board and observed that it worked smoothly. What could be the reason for the SMPS 1 Voltage not workingI would be grateful if you could help me

We based our circuit on the "STKNX Reference Design" (V1.0, 14. Nov. 2019)).In the case of the single fault condition of a shorted CFH capacitor during operation almost the whole KNX bus voltage (21-30V) is permanently over the 68R resistor (RTX) and generates a big power loss of over 5-12 W (depends on the current KNX voltage).In the case of  a single fault condition at 30 V KNX bus voltage, the overload of RTX leads to an broken RTX with high impedance, so the overload ends automatically --> no danger.However in the case of a single fault condition at 21 V KNX bus voltage (where the power loss is lower) the lower overload do not lead to an high impedance RTX (maybe the impedance increase a bit, but not enough). So that a power dissipation of 4-5 W are permanentely available, wich heats our case illegally.For RTX we are using the following type: YAGEO RC2512JK-0768RL Can you help us to fix this problem? 

Hey All,We are scratching our heads. These STEVAL-STRKT01 work fine for an hour than just stop transmitting. We are using STEVAL-STRKT01 discovery LoRa Asset Tracker Dev-kits in Region US915 with a MachineQ Area-8C 8-channel gateway. Installed the latest firmware STM32CubeFunctionPack_LORA1_V2.0.1 (3/4/2018). We saw the same issue with V1.1.0.We've played with every setting, timers, disable sensors, ADR OFF/ON etc., but always shuts off after about 1 hour. The only exception is disabling GNSS, after which the dev kit transmits forever.We also have tried the B-L072Z-LRWAN1+X-NUCLEO -IKS01A2/GNSS1A sensor/GPSshields, essentially the same hardware but using the three dev board assembly. Again, stops after an hour.If we shorten the duty cycle from 60 seconds to 30 seconds the broadcast time also cuts in half to about 1/2 hour. Joining requests works fine using the lower 8 x 125 kHz channels. After a number of join requests and join accepts the STEVAL-STRKT01 transmits on Channel 64 (500 kH

I am trying to built this ToF rangefinder using this tutorialBut instead of using the VL53L0X I am using the VL53L4CXI have attempted with 2 different ESP32-C3 Controllers and 2 separate VL53L4CX sensors and no matter what I do I can't get any I2C signal.My current setup is as follows:A brand new out of the box VL53L4CX TOF sensor wired up as followsD0 = SCLD1 = SDAGND = GND3V3 = VINI am using the built in connector on the sensor, so I don't have to do any soldering. But on the first sensor I had I also tried the pins directly. Neither has worked.I have tried all the ESP32 pins D0-D10.I have tried other I2C products on the same ESP32-C3 and they are working fine.I have tried a whole a bunch of variations on the I2C detector scripts and none of them see the VL53L4CX. The scripts registers other I2C devices just fine.Any Ideas what I could do next?Should I just give up using the VL53L4CX?

Hi all, I've just bought a STEVAL-IDB008V2 board, but I don't find any tutorial or ressources like get stared, the only doc I've found is https://www.st.com/resource/en/user_manual/um2094-getting-started-with-stevalidb007vx-stevalidb008vx-and-stevalidb009vx--evaluation-boards-stmicroelectronics.pdf  But how can I use Wise Studio to debug, why I can' t use stm32cube ide ? I can compile with Wite Studio, but no tutorial how to flah on the board... Is there any links or something ?
