What I want to do is quite simple in theory :1) Load the BLE Beacon application from the BlueNRG-LP Development Kit (DK) on the first BlueNRG-LP board and run2) Verify with an Android BLE Scanner Phone app that the BLE Beacon app on the BlueNRG-LP is periodically updating (like RSSI values)3) Start from some application in the DK (say the BLE_RC_LongRange project) 4) Modify this project source code to perform a passive scan on the 1M PHY (neutering connections as I am not interested in those for this experiment)5) Override the hci_le_extended_advertising_report_event and hci_le_advertising_report_event callbacks recompile and place them in the project with breakpoints and run on the second BlueNRG-LP boardResult: Not hitting callback breakpoints on second board which I would expect because first board is constantly beaconing.I left out a lot of details to keep the question as concise as I can. Hi,I am using the BLUENRG-M0 (Nucleo board) and a STM32F446 Nucleo 144 to build a BLE peripheral. I am creating my services with the BLUENRG GUI v4.3.0.My FW versions on the BLUENRG areBlueNRG HW version 3.1BlueNRG FW version 7.3Motherboard FW 1.9My stack mode is 2When I try to write all my services to the ATT DB I get the following error (ACI_GATT_ADD_CHAR Failed Status=Unspecified Error (0x1F). My size of attributes array in bytes is 665 + 43 bytes (Services 0x1801 and Service 0x1800). I read some where there is a 700 byte limit on the chipset so I assume the error is because of this. Is there a way to create a larger size for the attributes? Does the BLUENRG2 offer a larger memory size for attributes?  I have attached my .view file from the GUI as well.

Although every time I write in a single block instead of multiple blocks， and I only use SPI, not DMA. But the write speed is too low, only 1KB. Hi,​I tried BlueNRG_Stack_Initialization but it returned the value 0x48, I looked at the ble_status.h file and it says/** @brief The requested operation failed because of lack of memory.* Out of memory shall be returned for situations where memory will never * become available again (e.g. ATT database)*/I've searched the web and it looks like the problem is in the BlueNRG_Stack_Initialization_t structure (TOTAL_BUFFER_SIZE), but I'm not sure how to set the size in there, I currently have a server and two characteristics, and the structure ( ATT_VALUE_ARRAY_SIZE) in the structure and my server and characteristics, how should I calculate them and what is their relationship?Any help on the above would be appreciated.

Hello, I want to send data to the DAC with the I2S protocol (assume we are sending an array) and see a sine wave at the output.At this point, I would like to ask: Does the DAC in the stm32f407vg model mean the CS43L22 IC or an internal DAC unit in it, and as far as i know, the CS43L22 IC can communicate over i2s, can we communicate with the internal DAC over the i2s line?Finally, I have the stm32f429l board. Can I communicate this board with the DAC via the i2s line? Or should I procure an external DAC IC?Thank you in advance for your answers and help.

Hi,I'm trying to setup a client & server pair that work like the following:Server using coded PHY, advertising its device name/manufacturer data in Secondary advertisement channels. That means it will advertise with ADV_EXT_IND in Primary channels first, then point to a secondary channel and send its name/data.Client also using coded PHY, scanning the Primary advertisement channels, receives the ADV_EXT_IND packet from server, and further scan the secondary channel to get its name/data. Once it determined the name/data is appropriate, it uses the bd_addr from the advertisement for connection.Client sends connection request to server (with AUX_CONNECT_REQ??)Server sends connection response to client (with AUX_CONNECT_RSP??)Is there any examples for extend advertising & establishing connection with it? How do i setup AUX_SCAN_RSP if an active scanner is sending AUX_SCAN_REQ?BLE_RC_LongRange is not what i want, as it is using fixed address for connection, and no scan response data

I am using a SPIRIT1 as a transmitterI switch the (2.8v) rail onI wait for the part to become ready (as indicated on GPIO0)I then program it.On MOST samples this is OK, but about one in ten units intermittently fail to program correctly (the SMPS doesn't come up as expected and the TX carrier never appears) and need to be cycled, reset and re-programmed againI am using the internal POR (not the standby input, which is grounded).What am I doing wrong ?IS THERE some (not mentioned in the data sheet) critical delay that needs to be observed between GPIO0 indicating successful reset and the start of the chip programming operations on the SPI bus ?? (I am suspicious because if I insert a few hundred mS delay before the programming routine the problem SEEMS to go away) The thing is, I need to know how much delay is needed (if at all: I could be barking up the wrong tree) as this is a fast switching high reliability design

Hello, I am interfacing BlueNRG-M2SA with a Linux host and don't want to use it in network co-processor mode.is it ok if I use it in application co-processor mode where m2sa module does all the work and sends the data over to another master or another processor over SPI?Please note this is not ACI but a custom protocol over spi between BlueNRG2 and Linux Host. I think in Network co processor mode host has the control over ble profiles which I don't want.Is there any application example for the same in the BlueNRG2-DK?Also is it ok to do with it or better to use the ACI with another host processor?please advise.Br,P

I connected the x-nucleo-idb05a2 to a nucleo L452RE-P board and configured the project using X-CUBE-BLE1 and BLE sample application.I got it all working (IRQ, RESET, MISO, MOSI) after making sure that there was a required hard reset to start the BLUENRG chip, however the ISR calls eventually :HCI_TL_SPI_Receive() to fetch initial data by sending {0x0b, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00} to initiate a read.The returned read buffer "header_slave" contains {0x00, 0x02, 0x07, 0x0F, 0x00} which gets rejected because the first byte must 0x02.This means that the data caused by the first interrupt after a hard reset won't be retrieved which means that the hci_tl_lowlevel_isr() will keep looping forever because the GPIO pin stays high (IsDataAvailable())What could be the reason why the data from the BLUENRG returns an unexpected value?Thanks in advance

Hello,I am trying to build my Bluetooth application by configuring the services and characteristics I need. I saw ST recommends using BlueNRG-X Radio Initialization Parameters Wizard.I am using BlueNRG-M0 (X-Nucleo-IDB05A2) and I read the FW version and HW version from the board.HW Version - 49(dec)FW Version - 1840(dec), 0x730 (FW 7.30)I want to know what FW stack version do I use in the Radio Init Wizard program (see attached picture). I assume the BlueNRG-M0 is a BlueNRG-1 device. Is that correct?Eventually I am looking to support 8 GATT custom services on the device. I think the device can support up to 8 services as I read that in the release notes from ST (can't remember where).Thanks,

I am trying to edit the BLE Sensor Demo app for STM32 micro and BLUENRG-M0 module (using Nucleo boards). I want to advertise one service in the advertising packet. When I make the call to aci_gap_set_discoverable() I get a response of BLE_STATUS_INVALID_PARAMS( 66 dec ) . With DMA or interrupts I can only receive the first byte of a message. What do I need to change in the preipherals/SPI_slave_dma example to receive more than one byte?Any help appreciated. Thanks

Hello everyone,I recently successfully used a BlueNRG-2 chip for a BLE project (connected to an external microcontroller and integrating the BlueNRG-2 API by means of .ioc project manager). However, it needed a very small baloon which has been a real mess to solder by hand. I then saw that the BlueNRG-LP comes with the baloon integrated, which could help me hand-soldering the PCBs. However, the BlueNRG-LP doesn't come with a preflashed image. Is there any available image by ST that I can flash on the BlueNRG-LP that will let me keep using the same (or at least similar) APIs used on the BlueNRG-2? I think that including the libraries via STM32CubeIDE Project Manager really speeds up the programming time.Thank you for reading,Mariano

i use stm32f030 with bluenrg-1 on a card i made i want to test and communicate with it using the BlueNRG GUI --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------But I have problems to connect with the GUI. I choose the right COM Port, open it and then it always says: "No device detected!" and "No firmware detected. Update firmware on the motherboard (Under tools menu)." I tried to use that tool called "Flash Motherboard FW" and followed the steps and there it always says "No DFU Bootloader found"Anyone has some advice to solve that problem?Thanks in advance!

Hello every onewe are using BlueNRG-1 for Our BLEFor the Information,We have connected 32MHz external crystal oscillator in HS Pins..We haven't connected any external crystal oscillator at LS Pins..And we haven't connected any inductor at SMPS pins of BlueNRG2. we are not able to start the BlueNRG2 application and the MCU is stuck at the while(CKGEN_BLE->CLK32K_IT == 0); point in DeviceConfiguration() function.
