Hi all,I did a firmware in python for LSM9DS1 and I red the register 0x18 with autoincrement but I noticed that there is a offset in gyroscope for axis x,y,z. So I did the single reading for the register but there is always an offset. How can I do to delete an offeset?

Hello Team ST, Sensor: LIS2DH12our application needs to detect motion activity. Since it is not time critical, we want to check this by reading the (latched) activity of INT2. I can see the motion activirty on the INT2-pin, but I can NEVER see it on INT2_RRC (35h).(CTRL_REG5 (24h)LIR_INT2 is set and CTRL_REG6(25h). I2_ACT and I2_IA2 too) I have checked the datasheet and aAN5005 very carfully, but I have no idea what is wrong.Thanks in advance for your help!Juergen

I am trying to update the firmware on my Sensor Tile Box (STEVAL-MKSBOX1V1). The current version on my Sensor Tile Box is 3.3.5. On startup, The IOS app indicates that the new firmware V3.41 is available for the box. However, trying to update to this version fails as the IOS app shows the progress blue line going almost to the end but it stops after 726400 of 726532 bytes and indicates error sending data. When this happens, the sensor tile becomes nonfunctional and the only way to make it functional again is to remove the battery and reconnect again.I have tried multiple times to update with no success.

I have been using MotionMC and I think it has been working. My compass appears to reach calibration as it starts working as expected and the calibration value reaches 3 (the highest level?).However, I've noticed while looking over my code that I am not providing MotionMC with an updated time stamp when I pass it MMC_Input_t data_in.TimeStamp in the library call MotionMC_Update(&data_in). Just what am I missing out on? Is this value even used in the MotionMC library?-thanks

I read AN4509.Single-axis tilt sensing is supported, but I can not tested it.1.Is Single-axis tilt sensing need gyroscope enable? Now gyroscope I disable it.2.Single-axis tilt sensing means I need disable other two-axis, remain only one sensing axis to detect tilt? Dual-axis tilt sensing need disable one axis?3.If I enable all axis , Tri-axis tilt sensing, means Single-axis and Dual-axis detect is invalid? If I want tilt function is ok, my test must have three axis data genera? My understanding is right?thank you!

In the project datasheet (X-CUBE-MEMSMIC1) as well as in many other projects I see this.Easy portablility across different MCU families ? What does that mean exactly ? stmh7 is included?Or is it just about the nuclear maps listed at the bottom of the picture?These libraries (CCA02M1_AUDIO_H + CCA02M1_AUDIO_C) from the project (X-CUBE-MEMSMIC1) are they usable for an stmh7 map? how to adapt them (if possible).If I create a project with cubeMX with an h7 nucleo and I add these libraries and update the peripherals it will work or the librairies provided is only included for some specifi

I have a problem when i read the AN4508 application notes.In the figure shown below, Xb, Yb and Zb are device body axes with a forward-right-down configuration. XA, YA and ZA are the accelerometer sensing axes.When sensor is placed still on the table, i expected the value from accelerometer z axis is -1g because there is a downward acceleration due to gravity.But the application notes mentions that Az would output

hello. I have a question about LIS331DLH. ​under low temperature, LIS331DLH chip z-axis shows wrong value.it is almost 100 difference between -10 degree and 22 degree. x,y axis is fine but only z axis is problem. every chip I got have same problem except one chip. is there ways to figure out this problem ?

I can't read value from bno055. I am not sure but problem can be about OPR_MODE register. In datasheet p21 Config mode's value shown as xxxx0000b and in p22 config mode shown as default mode after power on. But when I go to p50 OPR_MODE register's default value shown as 0x1c. If all of this informations true I think xxxx0000b is not equal to 0x00 when sending it with i2c. Please help me :sad_but_relieved_face:

Hello ST Community,My application involves nRF52 series processor which interfaces with LIS2DH12 via SPI and I am trying to reduce the power consumption as much as possible when the processor is in sleep mode. I understand that, as soon as power is applied, the sensor is in power-down mode. In this mode (i.e no SPI commands sent to the sensor), the total power consumption is ~ 6 uA with the processor in sleep mode. Now, the processor can wake up or go to sleep mode when certain commands are received via NFC. We have a board with a LSM6DSL chip that can be mounted horizontally or vertically.Are the X Y and Z axes symmetrical for when reading basic Accelerometer features?

Hi!I am using the IIR function block in Algobuilder. In the UI I can enter the coefficients manually or use a file. The implementation uses the CMSIS functions Biquad Cascade IIR Filters Using Direct Form I Structure (void arm_biquad_cascade_df1_init_f32). The init function expects the coefficients in the following order: {b10, b11, b12, a11, a12, b20, b21, b22, a21, a22, ...}In Algobuilder I have to enter a a10/a20 coefficient in the user interface although the filter is not using it. What do I have to enter for this coefficient? Is it used anywhere?Best wishes,Dominik

Hi!I have a Nucleo board and use the FFT example that comes with Algobuilder. It shows all the data and the results from FFT in the separate window. I would like to export all the data (accelerometer values, FFT results, peaks, etc). It works with accelerometer data and "single values" like peaks. But not with the actual FFT results.In the "Datalog" tab I can select the different output values, also FFT X/Y/Z axis, but this has no impact on the generated file.I know that there is a "Save As" and "Auto Save" button in the FFT window. But here I would need to press the button everytime a new FFT is available manually. And in addition I cannot match the raw data with the FFT results.

I am using a LIS331DLH accelerometer chip and I have seen that when I change its configured sometimes I get double value for x, y and z but only for the first sample. Do I need to discard the first sample after configuration change like some other chips?I am changing from 2G to 8G configuration and sample is as follows:1st sample:x: 26y: 8z: 5212nd sample onwards:x: 13 (+- 5)y: 1 (+- 5)z: 261 (+- 5)

I was testing the LSM6DSL, at first 10 versions of my firmware, the sensor is working fine, I was able to read and write to its register. Now it does not work, reading the WHO_I_AM register gives different value than 0x6A. I hope you can help me.

Hi,I got a doubt while i was studying IIS3DWB data sheet, "Meta information about accelerometer and sensor configuration changes can be managed by enabling the ODR_CHG_EN bit in FIFO_CTRL2 (08h)". But , i have not found that bit in FIFO_CTRL2 register. How can i edit meta data of accelerometer?can you please clarify this doubt.Thanks & Regards,Jhansi Palepu

in bno055's datasheet adress shown as 0x28 or 0x29 (in decimal 40 and 41) but when ı use i2c adress finding function it returns 80. To be sure about adress I writed following code but there is strange issue. When code is like that firstly d becames 2 , after 10 second d becames 4. I bought "P-NUCLEO-LRWAN2" last week.I read the manual and try it.The gateway is well. but the sensor device as "I_NUCLEO_LRWAN1" is not working.first. I think the device involved a default binary. so, I connected sensor device with my PC. I opened the teraterm and supply power to the device. but the device is not working. Of course, I did set baud rate.second, I build a source in "STM32L073RZ-Nucleo\Applications\LoRa\AT_Master\". I put a compiled binary file in the device and reset the device. but the device is not working. how to run the device? 

If I try to use the Data recorder app, available among the Example Apps, the FP-SNS-ALLMEMS1 Sensor is no more found (there is a message about ST BLE Sensor time out).

Hello.I am using lsm6dsl to find the angle.When I turn the yaw rotation 360 degrees at that time, I have an error on the roll and pitch.Now, based on the angle (XY) determined by the accelerometer, I am trying to determineWe are trying to find the angle by finding XYZ of the gyro sensor in the rotation matrix and adding the angular velocity of the gyro sensor.At that time, if I turn only the yaw side (Z) 360 degrees, I expect to get the same values for roll and pitch at 360 degrees from 0 degrees, but they will be off by tens of degrees.Is there any problem in the calculation method?Thank you for your help.

Hi,I am using STM32F407 DİSCOVERY. I am trying to internal accelerometer(LIS3DSH) reading with I2C communication because my teacher asked for this but everyone ACC reading with SPI communication. I wonder if it is not read with ACC (LIS3DSH) I2C or am I dealing with something wrong? Why everyone is using SPI communication While reading ACC ?
