Posted on September 10, 2015 at 16:47 Hi, I am trying to read the Flash protection registers using something like the following: #define FLASHPR_BASE 0x8010DFB0 #define FLASH_NVWPR ((volatile uint32_t*)(FLASHPR_BASE + 0)) #define FLASH_NVAPR0 ((volatile uint32_t*)(FLASHPR_BASE + 8)) #define FLASH_NVAPR1 ((volatile uint32_t*)(FLASHPR_BASE + 12)) uint32_t readStatusValue() { return *FLASH_NVAPR1; // Crashes } As indicated, line 8 breaks. I did read in the Flash Programming manual that the (read only) LOCK bit needs to be clear before attempting to read these registers, butI don't know how to clear that. Any ideas? Thanks!

Posted on July 21, 2015 at 11:07Hello, I design DC-DC converter using eDisign and I make it with folowing parameters: Vin = 11-14 V Vout = 5 V Iout = 700 mA Design software limits maximal inductance for this IC to 10uH, but then IL ripples are quite big ( around 50%). Can I use it bigger inductance for this IC or it's not possible ? I didnt see any information about it in data sheet.

Posted on November 03, 2014 at 03:35Hi all, I encountered few issues when using STVP to program a ST7Flites5.  Can anyone advice me on possible solutions?  Tks in advance. 1.    STVP does not provide a erase before programming option for ST7Flites5.  This particular programming job specify its option byte with a read protection on and after programming on STVP, I could not do any programming or verification again, cos it keep saying it is protected.  However, ST7_PGM is able to do that (it erase and program), just that it only accept hex data file but no srec. 2.    Though I could program and verify in STVP using its graphical interface, the STVP_cmdline could not connect to the ST7Flites5.  Please help!? BTW, I am only doing programming on the ST7 and frankly, I know very little about the uC.  So your patience is needed here.  :) #st7-stvp-stvp_cmdline

Posted on May 07, 2015 at 19:14Hello I built a SMPS using the eDesignSuite. It is based on a Viper28, and was designed to output 15V 750mA from 80-265V AC. I wound my own transformer based on the specs from the design. Under no load the output is 14.4 volts. Under load the output drops to 12.5V. I have attached my schematic, the st schematic and tx design and my pcb layout. Does anyone have any ideas as to what could cause this? Thanks #viper28 #edesignsuite

Posted on April 17, 2015 at 10:59HiIs there any particular sequence of giving the THSD voltage? We initially had connected it to high voltage directly without giving the pull up resistor. The chip works fine when VDDM is given first and VDDP (also DVDD) given second. But it draws infinite current when VDDP is connected first and VDDM is given afterwards. We removed THSD pin and manually connected it to positive supply after giving the power supplies and the IC works fine irrespective of the order of the supplies. Posted on February 20, 2015 at 11:18Hello Community, I want to use the STHV748 for pulsing film-Arrays. The circuit is build like the reference circuit in the Application Note AN3961 figure 33.  The input line are low  so that the output from the STHV748 should bee zero. But the current consume is on the 3,3V Supply 360mA. That's definitely to much. Has anyone an idea what the reason could bee? Below you can see my circuit around the STHV748. Posted on October 17, 2014 at 15:19I am using SPEAr1310 (SPEAR1310CPUC evaluation board, revision 1). I want to use Memory Mapped debug interface to setup breakpoints. I have read the interface base address using cp14 Cooprocessor (DBGDRAR, DBGDSAR). However, when I try to read any of Memory Mapped debug registers I am getting DATA ABORT exceptions. I've configured this memory region to be supervisor RWX and Non-cacheable.Is there any special peripheral I shall configure before to avoid DATA ABORTs?Please respond. #secure-debug #spear1310

Posted on July 29, 2014 at 16:52Hi, I have a issue with the power supplies of my electronic board at start up of microcontroller STR912FAW47. Someone know the inrush current of microcontroller on VDD (1,8V) and VDDQ (3.3V) at power on? With an oscilloscope, it seems that the microcontroller starts to consume at the VDD treshold  of 0,7V because I have an inrush current when the VDD supply is above 0,7V. Thanks, Jerome
