To achieve this, I plan to integrate the OpENer stack into my project.I am looking for guidance on how to properly build and port the OpENer stack to the STM32F746NG board and how to test it to ensure it communicates correctly with the PLC. Hello, I work on a STM32F042G6Ux mounted on a custom board, and I want to automatize the flash by using command line and STLink (I'm using V2-1 one). STM_CLI works well to unlock the reading, unfortunately I read that ST won't deploy it on ARM architecture, and I want to work on Raspberry Pi. That's why I decided to use OpenOCD (v0.12.0) to flash my STM32. However, there's a problem using it : I have to switch power supply to apply the changes on the option bytes. hello... I am using custom board with STM32F103C8T6 with Semtech LoRa module SX1262 for LoRaWAN architecture. Facing lot of issues like files missing. We are using the files from Github link 

When I try to build the firmware for a L011D4 (16kB flash/2kB RAM) I get an "section `._user_heap_stack' will not fit in region `RAM'" and "region `RAM' overflowed" error even on an empty project (empty Arduino setup() and loop() functions).What do I need to do to get around this? I can't believe an empty project already fills up 2kB of RAM just for the Arduino core. If there really IS something using that much RAM, how could I find out what it is? I know there's also the ldscript.ld file, but I don't dare yet to change anything there, because I don't know what I'm doing ;) .In the end the MCU should just react to two buttons, control two LEDs, read two ADC channels and control a PWM output based on that. I also need a calibration value, which is why I chose the L011D4 in the first place (it's one of the few with an EEPROM). The L011D4 should be plenty for that. My project is configured as follows. Hi,I'm trying to do 3-WIRE SPI communication with DAC60501,but no matter what I do, the output value doesn't change.I checked the waveform with a scope and it all was OK.The first falling edge of SYNC starts the operation cycle --> CPHA= 1 Edge uint8_t aTxBuffer[3] = { 0x08, 0x7F, 0xAA };  --> command = DAC_DATA, value = 0x7FA (12bit) I set up CUBE MX as above.Is there anyone who can tell me why it doesn't work? Thank you in advance.

I'm using tcpp01-m12 and stm32u5 borad to develop a UCPD sink application.The UCPD module seems works fine, and I can request selected voltage from source.But when I closed the MOS which controlled by tcpp(mcu set tcpp ctrl pin high), the vcc output voltage still have about 500mV.Is this a Characteristics of MOS tube, or any hardware design suggestion?   

Hello,  What is the best way to drive a 4x4 keypad, taking in account power consumption and MCU life expectancy? Option 1: Continuous scan of columns and read rows.Option 2: Like option 1, but including delays (0.01 s) to reduce MCU stress.Option 3: Leave all columns to high or low level and use an EXTI for every row. In the EXTI function, scan columns one only time to see the pressed key. Or doesn't matter and can use any option?. Looking technical data, the main thing to have in account for power consumption is the clock frequency. Now using nucleo-F446RE, and when the project is finished, I will migrate to other MCU Thanks 

I needed a very small humidity sensor, so I made a PCB for the Sensirion SHT45. I interface it with a Nucleo-32 F303K8, and have tried a Nucleo 64 as well. It seems that I'm able to send commands to it, but when I try to read it, I receive only NACKs from the sensor. This behaviour could be because of a busy sensor, but I add enough time in between measurement request and reading that it should not be a problem. I tried a few chips. The first ones I soldered with an iron, then I tried hot air, most recently hot air from bottom of PCB, to shield the chip and especially its PTFE membrane from the heat of the air. I have two MCU's one from F4 series and another from H7 series, Using F4 MCU for calculation of some data and want configured as I2C master which sends data to the H7 MCU. I want to use LAN9250 with STM32U585RITxQ (64pin package) controller using SPI/SQI interface as described in Microchip's datasheet.I find similar interface on STM32 as OctoSPI (using Quad SPI) and SDMMC which looks similar to me.So I don't know which one is the correct choice. I need to use it at as highest data rate as possible (so 4 bit bus...).Personally I don't think OctoSPI (using Quad SPI) is compatible with this as it is design for Memory. But I am not sure right now.Can anybody help me decide on this?

I using STM32duino to program the STM32F103C8T6. When I use the Seiral1 to communicate with a 4G, the data reveived exceeds 64 characters, data will lost. Hello,We are working with an STM32F429ZIT6TR to design an 800x480 LCD Display Controller Board,I configured the FMC with the 8080 interface to receive data from Main Board (another provider), and also enabled SDRAM through the FMC. The LTDC is used to drive the LCD.The plan is to transfer data to our Display Controller board via the 8080 interface and then use the LTDC for display refresh. The data lines are shared between the 8080 interface and the SDRAM, but they have different chip select signals.we built a first prototype, but when we tried to write data into the SDRAM, we observed sporadic/incorrect values.My questions are:Could sharing the data lines between the 8080 interface and SDRAM cause signal integrity or bus contention issues, even though the chip selects are different?Do you have any recommendations for PCB layout in this case?

Hi! Im doing my project using mpu6500 and I use hal_i2c_mem_read to read the WHOIMI register at 0x75 with the device address 0x69 (AOD to vcc) and I alway get the value 0x00. Why is that? is this module require something soldered to this pad (img) to turn on i2c protocol or what, please help me out.

Hello,I am looking for a solution to a problem. To put it briefly, I want to update the program of a microcontroller via a USB key. It is an STM32L4+ series microcontroller.I saw on an STM32F429I-DISC test board that there was documentation for updating via USB flash drive. (https://www.st.com/resource/en/application_note/an3990-upgrading-stm32f4discovery-board-firmware-using-a-usb-key-stmicroelectronics.pdf)Since this is not the same microcontroller as the one I am targeting, I was wondering if this is possible with the STM32L4+. Thank you in advance for your response.

I am working on my custom PCB and trying to get serial output from a BNO055 (via I2C) and a SEN0257 (analog sensor).I can successfully upload and run SPI code for the SD card, and it works.My servo motors also work fine with uploaded code.However, when I try to use the BNO055,  I shared the schematic and my code, I get no data on the serial monitor.I checked my PCB: there is no short circuit on the MCU or sensor circuits.On the I2C bus, I can measure 3.3V from the SCL and SDA pull-up resistors.For reference, here is the code I’m using for the BNO055:https://github.com/yzeybek/BNO055_TEST/blob/main/Core/Src/main.c On the SEN0257, I can measure an analog voltage when the sensor is plugged in, but still no data appears on the serial monitor.Here is the code for SEN0257:https://github.com/yzeybek/SEN0257_TEST  

I'm finalising a design with an AD1701 using the STM32 as the USB-audio driver (it's a modular, mix and match design but the STM32 is the most appropriate for the "reference design".And herein is the issue, for a decent sample rate of 48 or 96 KHz (not audiophile but good enough) an accurate master clock running at 12,288 MHz which I can't get from the 1701 and in any case throwing that sort of frequency down jumpers is likely to end up in the board getting hoisted by a few kilograms of a home-made petard.CubeMX calculates the error as high as 1.72% for 96 KHz for example with a 25 Mhz HS clock input. I'm a little confused (I hail from the days when CPUs ran at 4-8MHz and we thought they were fast) so it might be my age but I don't understand how to correct this sort of error. I'd appreciate if someone more knowledgeable about I2S (or the SAI peripherals) of how to best ameliorate this issue.I know how PLLs work to lock onto a signal but I'm out of my depth (I'm primarily a writer

Hopefully i chose the right thread, right so i have sn stm32h523 chip running a PCISPH fluid simulation, but its incredibly slow, that was expected, which is why i optimised the algorithm to include spatial hashing to reduce particle-particle computation time from 0(n^2) to O(n+k) (forgot what k was but its alot faster than the latter). However, this hasnt fixed my issue at all, if anyone can suggest any optimization methods that would be great(On reddit i read someone tweaked some compiler settings which im wondering if i should do the same but i dont know how. If theres papers i can read on this i would love some recommendations thanks.

Hi Everyone,I am using SPI NOR Flash (AT25SF128) with STM32F429 microcontoller. The requirement of my system are as follows: I write data to the SPI Flash using only HAL_SPI_**** statements. I want to read the data written to this flash using a USB (By creating a MSC class of USB). The USB interface is required only for data reading.I have seen similar examples with SD card (SPI or SDIO). However, these examples cannot be applied to the SPI NOR Flash mainly due to following problems that I see. 1> The windows only see a USB when it sees a proper FAT partition, which I don't know how to configure it by using stm32 only. SD Cards can be formatted separately before plugging in with the microcontroller. 2> The FATFS middle present in the CUBEIDE doesnot have an option for a SPI NOR flash. If anyone knows about this implementation, please guide me to the relevant post / page / link.Note:  Please refer to example with SPI NOR Flash and not the SD Card
