Hello All, I wonder if someone here can help me out.  I have spend a large number of hours over a few days on and off trying to drive a bitstream into a WS2812B using DMA.  I have proven the hardware by bit-banging into the LED and it works as expected. I have the DIN pin of the WS2812B to PA3 configured for TIM2_CH4, this is a clean project with nothing else in the way.  Clocks are configured to the point where I can get the expected frequency/duty cycle I need, and I have 24 bytes of static data that I want to send to the PWM CCP to create a bitstream. The code is below, I have gotten this far be reading, seeing examples, even chatting with Chat GPT, and I just cannot get this to work.  The code below yields nothing out, its just always low.  If I enable the PWM by uncommenting lines 102 and 103 I get the expected 803Khz at 50% mark/space.In my main loop I am trying to trigger a DMA transfer once ever 500ms... but it does not work, and I am at a los

Hello !My Nucleo-F411RE board is visible in Cygwin as dev/ttyS3. I try to send message "Hello !" to Nucleo and receive answer from it, but inside the code I found in the internet, the functions tcgetattr() and tggetattr() return the error Invalid argument. Hi, I am looking for simulation software, to simulate the following component: STM32H757I-EVAL; interfacing with Humidity sensor, light sensor, micro sd card. Could you suggest a platform to simulate these components. Please do suggest if it is possible to simulate NUCLEO - F767ZI in any platform too. Thank you. 

I plan to transmit stream of approx 10k characters by uart every second. For that purpose, I have definer global char array of 10.5k length. After working for few second, the MCU goes in HardFault.I tried with array of 1000 bytes only, it works fine. But as I increased to 10k bytes array, problem start coming.Should I change stack sizes in linker file. ? please suggest and where to change.

  Hello gurus, I am in desperate need of your help. I am trying to extract audio from an INMP441 microphone using a Nucleo STM32F4RE11 and store it as a WAV file on an SD card. According to the datasheet, the microphone outputs signed PCM 24-bit audio in MSB-first order, wrapped in a 32-bit frame. To handle this, I have configured the I²S "Data and Frame Format" to "32 Bits Data on 32 Bits Frame", attempting to extract the 24-bit data from the 32-bit frame and convert it to Little Endian format. However, I am facing issues with the extracted audio: While I can recognize my voice's timbre, the amplitude is extremely low, and the waveform appears very weak. When I previously tested "16 Bits Data on 32 Bits Frame", my voice sounded unnaturally deep, almost like a male voice. I suspect there may be an issue with my bit extraction or size allocation. I have bought USB-CAN adapter based on STM32F042C6 microcontroller with open source code:https://github.com/candle-usb/candleLight_fw/tree/masterWith very new pc adapter doesn't work, windows doesn't recognize driver, with old pc windows use automatically winusb.sys.If i install manually winusb using Zadig i see in Device manager that device is recognized but i cannot communicate with him.I try to many pc and seems that the problem is related to host controller, in new PCs with host controller 3.1 extensible doesn't work, in PCs where it is also EHCI the device work.Someone have some similar problem?XHCI must be compatible with old device so I think that there is some error in firmware. Thanks for helpGianni

Hello,I'm working on LTE-M protocol and I would like to use B-L462E-CELL1 to evaluate the RF performances and characteristics of LTE-M protocol.I would like to know, if it test tools/software to control the LTE-M chip in order to be the wanted mode is released or not?I need this test software to program the RF device to transmit or receive mode, by defining the frenquecy and the transmit power... Hello,recently I'm working on a project based on STM32F103 MCU and an I2S codec chip. The codec has two data port, one is DAC IN and the other one is ADC OUT. What I wanna do is using the codec to play audio or to record audio.According to my knowledge the I2S on STM32F103 only has one SD port. So how can I connect the two IO ports of codec to the SD port? thanks

Hi, I’m programming on stm32cubeide and I’m using a H755ZI-Q microcontroller.I have a small problem with serial communication:Through usart, I try to display the data of EVERY project on putty.But I have several problems: the communication is only successful through USART3, using as active the "default" PINs like TX and RX, that is PD8 and PD9.So this happens: with these two pins configured print, but with other pins (such as PB10 and PB11 which from the datasheet have configuration USART3_TX and USART3_RX) on putty no printing takes place.Also with all other USART/UART, printing does not take place.Can you help me? I could make a mistake or is there a function to be coded in order for the communication to take place?Simon.

I am having a problem in that the status line of the Arduino IDE  states that "Discovery [not connected]". In the Arduino IDE/Tools menu, the Port option is greyed out.I have two(!) wires connected between the Discovery board and the laptop's usb ports. I have also ensured that the laptop has libusb-1.0-0(v2:1.0.26-1) which is the latest version, according to Synaptic. I have also ensured that I am a member of the dialout group.I tried to install STM32CubeProgrammer but, during this install, the laptop reported that there was no more space left on the device. I'm using USART1 for RS485 communication (both transmit and receive), and I’m facing a strange issue with the baud rate.At 19200 baud and below, everything works fine.When I try baud rates above 19200 (e.g., 38400, 57600, 115200), communication stops working—either I don't receive data correctly or nothing is transmitted.I'm using RS485 transceiver hardware, and the direction control is handled properly (I’ve verified the DE pin timing).On the other hand, USART2 works perfectly at all baud rates, including 115200.Things I've tried:Checked system clock settings.Verified USART1 initialization code.Ensured the RS485 driver enable (DE) pin timing is correct.Tried different cables and RS485 adapters.Measured signal lines with an oscilloscope—signal seems distorted at higher baud on USART1.My questions:Is there any known issue with USART1 on STM32F030C8 at higher baud rates with RS485?Could it be hardware limitations

Hello,We are using STM32C071GBU6 MCU chip with USB device interface function. Now we have a problem using ST-Link utility tool to download BIN file to MCU:ST-Link utility tool always report: connection lost.In our design we use USB micro-B type port to supply power for the board.We checked MCU voltage and value is 3.2V, which is normal.  While using the same programmer and IDE tool, we can successfully connect STM32F446 MCU(while STM32F446 board power supply is from DC regulator power).Please see attached pictures for details. Hello,I am having issues communicating over SPI with an external ADC the ADS7038. I am using an STM32H750VB and sourced the code from github (precision-adc-examples/devices/ads7038 at main · TexasInstruments/precision-adc-examples). I am unable to read data from the ADC when it is connected to a thermocouple and only get a return of 0. I have tried reading from individual registers but have been unable to return a value. The STM32 pins all have correct continuity, but the ADS7038 is difficult to probe since it has a QFN package. I was able to get a signal on SCK and MOSI but MISO was just high. SPI is set as Full-Duplex master using CS pins to enable with a Baud rate of 2 Mbits/s. Attached is the entire code but also here are some screenshots of the main programs used to communicate SPI and read from the ADC. Any ideas for other things to try for debugging?

Hi Everyone,I have some problems with DFU on Windows 10. I use WeAct BlackPill boards based on STM32F411 MCU. This board has BOOT0 button which allow to update firmware using STM32CubeProgrammer and DFU mode.Majority of the boards can be programmed in DFU mode using STM32CubeProgrammer with no issue. Recently I got couple boards that acts very weird: those boards enters DFU mode just fine, detects by STM32CubeProgrammer and able to connect, but as soon I try to erase or program those boards - STM32CubeProgrammer says "Connection lost" and that is it. Setup: I have two F103 MCUs connected via I2C. All pins are configured correctly with STM32CubeMX on both devices and boilerplate code was generated with it. I have gdb-multiarch connected to the Master MCU using openocd as an interface for debugging. The program loads and runs and I am able to use the debugger without issues.Problem: When the slave is not connected to the master, calling HAL_I2C_Master_Transmit with the Master MCU returns HAL_ERROR, which to my knowledge, is expected. However when I connect the Slave MCU the first time HAL_I2C_Master_Transmit is called it returns HAL_ERROR and on subsequent calls it returns HAL_BUSY. Whenever I disconnect and reconnect the Slave, the behaviour reoccurs. I only reconnect the slave (full reset), Master stays up.Code: The code is attached with the post. Hello I have Engine Control Unit (Siemens MS43) with Flash memory AM29F400BB and i want to remove this flash memory from PCB and connect STM32F407VET6 on its place simulate as flash memory and be able to change or adjust .bin file in "Real time" without turning off ECU. But i have some question about it.Is this doable ? Is STM32F407VET6 good enough for something like this ? Do i need something else with STM32 or it can do work like this on its own ? Iam in learning proecces of this, sorry if it sounds dumb..

Hi,I'm facing an I2C communication issue between an STM32F107RCT6 microcontroller and the MAX11612EUA ADC. I created a clean project in STM32CubeMX using HAL library v1.1.9.0. I'm using HAL_I2C_Master_Receive_IT() to read data, and in the callback I process the received 8 bytes (4 ADC channels, 2 bytes each). When the I2C bus is set to 400kHz (Fast Mode), I randomly receive incorrect values ("spikes") in the data. A Saleae logic analyzer shows that some frames contain only 7 bytes, and the master unexpectedly sends NACK and STOP. Switching to DMA (HAL_I2C_Master_Receive_DMA()) partly solves the issue — data is correct, but after some time communication hangs. The function returns HAL_BUSY, and HAL_I2C_GetError() reports HAL_I2C_ERROR_TIMEOUT. Recovery is only possible by calling HAL_I2C_DeInit() followed by HAL_I2C_Init(). When the I2C hangs, the entire main program stops for around 286 ms. I tested the same code on STM32F103 and STM32H563 — the issue does not occur. Has anyone experie

Hi,   I'm trying to implement BACnet using an STM32F401RE Nucleo board and a W5500 Ethernet shield, but I'm having trouble adding the BACnet source files. I'm unsure exactly which source and header files I need to include. Despite several attempts, I keep getting multiple errors. Were you able to successfully run your BACnet project?
