    hi ,Aiming to have few minutes power  back up for  STM32 mcu with SD card incase main supply 5v goes OFF condition . Timer added for capacitor  charging time since initial current is will be little high .The above is setup enough ? or something special circuit to be build for super capacitor ?  

I have developed code in arduino IDE , I am only getting the output receive from UART 04000A075 . I understand that this is the default value in register DSP_CR1.  I don't really understand how these two functionalities differ. One is measuring on both low side and high side, the other one only on low side.The available threshold values are the same in both cases.When would you use OCD_TH and not STALL_TH, and vice versa?I also find that the granularity of the thresholds is way too coarse. Below my limit and the motor doesn't move, one step up and it crashes hard into obstacles. Is there any way to get a finer threshold?

Hello,We are looking to use VN9D5D20FN (SPI management and monitoring) as power distribution solution for our product. There are 4 channels which are fed from common output of a buck converter. The buck has 5V 3.2A max output and that goes into VN9D5D20FN, to be shared across 4 channels.VN9D5D20FN datasheet specify minimum operating voltage 4V with a recommended operating voltage of 13V. At 5V  we are very close to this min threshold, any considerations?Thanks. Cio

Hello,in the Datasheet of the STPM32 the accuracy of the active power is 0,1% error over 500:1 dynamic range.Is this the best case error or the maximum error of the enerqy measurement after calibration?What does the dynamic range of 5000:1 mean?

Hello everyone, In the link below I designed a DC/DC Buck configuration with the L7987L chip. We have used this chip many times but I needed to update the EMI performance so I reduced some loops on the layout side. Also removed the separate ground plane. Now there is just one ground plane under the buck circuit.I was actually surprised that it's not working anymore. Who can help me with this?It is switching but it is not regulating into the 0.8V feedback for some reason. I tried changing the compensation network but without any result.HELP ! PS. I tested with different input supply voltages from 9 to 24V. In the document below, I mentioned 2 supply voltages.PS2. I also broke some chips. It looks really unstable somehow. I am planning to use a smart On/Off controller in my circuit. I have came across STM6601 (smart push button On/Off controller) which matches my requirements. The under-voltage Lockout seems to be done by comparing the input voltage with the internally generated voltage Vth. From the datasheet (page no - 48), I have seen that the value of Vth varies in different packages. My requirement is to detect the under-voltage at 2.8V in the same type of chip (with all the features available in STM6601). But the available chip's under-voltage is at either 2.5V or 3.1V. Datasheet link of STM6601 - https://www.st.com/resource/en/datasheet/stm6600.pdf It will be very helpful for me, if I get answer for the following questions:Is there an existing chip/ solution for detecting the under-voltage exactly at 2.8V? Hi,Can you please tell me the function of status pin? Is this pin can be used as feedback pin and connect to mcu?If not used, what to do? In datasheet, table 2 is given for unused and not connected pins, but it is not clearly. 

From the datasheet and AN4870, we understand that it is necessary to calculate the battery's internal impedance and measure the OCV table.After configuring CC_CNF and REG_VM_CNF, the STC3117 operates properly using its algorithm.The operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C. How can we create a temperature-dependent model in the STC3117?Is it achieved by dynamically writing OCV TABLE0~15 and the measured battery internal resistance for different temperatures when a temperature change is detected?Could you kindly provide a detailed procedure for building the battery model?

Hello!I have a L9963E in 192 cell EV battery setup, there's 16 modules daisy chained, each handling one 12S pack. The bottom module has a L9963T and stm32 chip that handles the whole pack and communicates with car through CAN bus. Everything is working!However I noticed that every module reports slightly lower voltage for cell 7 (Vcell 9 in L9963E). This is the cell that sits right next to the "middle gap" where I have two unconnected cell inputs. Hi everyone,for this driver I am seeing 700 ns sw deadtime also deadtime: 800. What is difference between them and which one is in use in application. Second question why it is 700 or 800 ns because according to Mosfet datasheet this values is too long. I am not HW designer this is why I have some lack of information.  

Hi,We are currently testing the above chips.I have a few questions:Can I get information or documents stating how to download firmware using an external MCU and the reference design for that? We use 3.3V I2C communication, and I understand the ST chip uses 1.8V.When I connect an MCU to the ST wireless charging chip, can I manually control the register to manipulate the total current? For example, by calculating the RX side's thermal condition and changing the TX DC MAX/TX DC PING registers in real-time when the chip gets hot to lower the temperature. Our design sometimes gets hot, causing the charging to turn on and off.If number 2 is possible, should I connect the MCU to both TX and RX, or just one? My question might not be very clear, so I am willing to accept an answer that is close enough. I would appreciate your response.

Dear All,I'm using the evaluation board STEVAL-IFP033V1 Galvanically-isolated 8 channel high-side driver based on the ISO8200BQ.I powered the board with 22.8VDC, all outputs on from the isolated side (all LEDS green on the output connector)I checked the short circuit behavior and it works fine.With a single resistive load on output 5, equal to 15 ohms, the measured output current is about 1.4 A continuous.The temperature of the chip becomes very hot, above 130°C in these conditions, and with the oscilloscope we never have the fault signal active, not even for brief moments, and this could be ok.The problem seems to be the output voltage, however, which decreases by about 5.8V compared to the input supply voltage, (the output drops at17V)Consequently the RDSon of the device is equal to about 4ohm, very far from the 0.24max reported in the datasheet, in this condition the operating range of the output is very low, not in operating range for the device, and we have no fail indication.Plea

Posted on November 05, 2016 at 19:04 Hi I would like to use L7987LTR in a few designs. The datasheet of the IC says its able to provide 2 A current however I can only measure 0.5 A. I have tested the schematics in 3 different layouts and layouts all seem to be good but all have the same behaviour. This makes me believe the problem is not in layout. Moreover, I have tried a few differnet inductors (10uH) and diodes but I only measure 0.5 A output current. What am doing wrong? why does not the IC provide more current? I was recently testing the FOD reping behavior and noticed that when FOD is detected and FOD reping is enabled, the TX retry delay is fairly short (a few seconds).Are there any settings to increase this time delay?If a foreign object keeps getting detected, does the TX eventually increase the reping delay time? It seems that with this short of a delay the foreign object could still heat up as the charger still transfers power every few seconds.

Can you help to explain the function of these GPIO settings on the RX IC?0x0A - RX power Out OD - this function is not mentioned in the datasheet or EVK user guide but is available through the GUI. How does it work?0x05 - what does FW ready indicate? Is it related to Vout turn on? Is this a Push Pull or Open Drain pin?0x29 and 0x2A - What is the function here? Does this pin act based on any information on the IC, or does it just stay high/low?

Hi,   Due to my mistake, when using the GUI tool to update the firmware, I mistakenly loaded the configuration file into both the PATCH and CONFIG sections. As a result, the chip is not functioning properly and cannot connect to the GUI tool. Is there any way to recover and reconnect to the GUI tool and update the firmware again?

Hi Team, We have used a Thyristor for our 24v input protection and conducted lab tests for 24v inputs by feeding upto 2kv surge. When the device is tested with normal regulated power supply or SMPS. The device is ok but when it is deployed in field the Thyristors are getting short. What could be the reason. Kindly help us to resolve. Part Number: SMP100LC-35 For every 1000 lot we are getting back atleast 20 device back to the factory. Please let me know if you need any other clarification or details. Thanks Srinivas
