ST25 NFC/RFID tags and readers

I'm working on porting the RFAL for ST25R3916B to an nRF5340, using the pairing example for X-NUCLEO-8. I have it all compiling and flashing correctly, but things break down during initialization here:In rfalInitialize() -> st25r3916Initialize(), the issue occurs when trying to measure voltage with st25r3916MeasureVoltage(). After executing st25r3916ExecuteCommandAndGetResult, I get the below SPI trace. The IRQ line goes high as expected, the RFAL then sends a read request for registers 0x1A through 0x1D, and the ST25R3916B does not respond with any active IRQs and does not clear the IRQ line. This results in a memory access violation on the nRF5340. This is the standard, unmodified RFAL for ST25R3916/B. The DCT interrupt is enabled. The SPI trace looks exactly the same as a previous IRQ read. Is there something different about the Measure Power Supply (0xDF) command? Any help would be appreciated. 

Hi,I have a question about configuring NDEF messages on tags.Can I put multiple function records in one NDEF file?For example, I just want to connect uri link with one NDEF file and also wifi connection at the same time.Is it possible? If possible, please let me know how to organize the record of the ndef file. Many sites say that Android only recognizes one record, but I can't find anything like official specifications, so I leave a question.If you know any related official documents, please guide me. Best Regards,

Hello, I am trying to develop an application capable of communicating with the STR3911B-Disco discovery kit. To do this I have downloaded the ST25SDK001 software and its API. I'm developing my application in C++ on QT creator, the final goal is to create a library that can interface with the kit. I'm making this library to embed it but I'm unable to find the serial commands to send. ST25SDK001 is developed in Java and not in C. Is there a way of finding the sources and commands for the lower layer, or are they protected? Thanks in advance.Regards,MelDubs.

The GUI displays 'not connected', but I have already entered USB mode using the blue button and reset button, and JP14 is in the normal state. The Micro USB and miniUSB are also connected.How can I connect it with GUI？ Is there any mistake in the above operation steps?

Hello,I have a scenario where RFID tags may be presented to a ST25R3911 reader at any orientation.Tags do not read If the plane of the tag antenna is not properly aligned enough with the plane of the reader antenna.To work around this, I was thinking of using two ST25R3911's with antennas perpendicular or at some angle to each other with the idea that at least one reader antenna will pick up the tag.The questions I have are:1. Is this a feasible solution ?2. Can the two readers be active at the same time or should only one reader be active at a time ?3. I understand that the ST25R3911 can have two antennas, would this be a better solution than having two ST25R3911's ?4. Pop up displayed as It support FEIG CPR30 and FEIG CPR30+ models but not FEIGCPR30pro.Can you please suggest me how can I use it over PC for testing ST25 NFC Tags using FEIGCPR30pro?

Hello!I'm quite new to this, so I hope I'm providing enough information. I have successfully run a DS18B20 temperature sensor on a Nucleo L476RG and written the temperature to the tag of the NFC07A1. However, this only works while it's connected to a power source. Now, I have an NFC08A1 on a Nucleo F746ZG, and I want it to power the sensor (and on a next step read the temperature from the sensor).When I run the Energy Harvesting (EH), I get approximately +/- 2.5 V on the tag part, which isn't even enough to light the green LED of the NFC07A1 fully.On the reader/source side, I'm running the demo PollingTagDetect_NDEF.Could anyone provide some advice on what I might be doing wrong, or let me know if you need any other information to assist me?Thank you in advance,Kris 

I want to use the LCD Display in the ST25DV Discovery kit "MB1283" Motherboard to measure the harvested energy(Voltage and Current) from my custom ST25DV04K board with Antenna. I know how to select the Energy Harvesting display (with the Micro USB connected to external power) to display harvested energy with the ST25DV_Discovery_Ant provided in the kit, but what pins on the J4 "ST25DX" 14-pin Extension Connector (or elsewhere on MB1283 motherbard) do I need to connect from my custom board to measure / display Energy Harvest?

I want to operate this board in CE mode.So I set RFAL_FEATURE_LISTEN_MODE to true. But there is a difficulty because there is no sequence or example code for how to operate in CE mode.Where should NDEF data be set and how do I set AID?Is there any working example, or documentation to implement card emulation? 

When calling (from C#):ST25R391xNativeMethods.iso15693Initialise(Handle, 0, false)I am getting an error response that decodes to "No Memory". I have had this error before when supplying a buffer that was too small for the response, however, no data is returned from this method so there is no buffer involved. In this case, what is the correct interpretation of "No Memory"?

Hello,Is it possible to detect a phone using NFC/RFID readers?I am working on a wireless charger unit and trying to detect credit cards. When I put a mobile phone with a credit card, I am not able to detect credit card because phone is getting started to charge. I want to learn whether it is possible to detect phone using ST25 NFC Readers. Is it possible to read Q value of NFC side? After we talked with the vendor of power transmitter, he suggested us to read Q value of NFC side.

Is there any documentation or case examples that can help or guide me to my objective?

I am examining the antenna attached to X-NUCLEO-NFC08A1 and its schematics, and I noticed that there is a 3rd pad at the edge of the antenna board with a connection to GND. I also see the same GND connection through a 0Ω resistor in the provided schematic in DB4702. I've never seen this before in other NFC antenna designs. It seems to short the entire antenna to ground according to the multimeter. What is the purpose of this connection, and will my antenna still work without it? Thank you in advance. 

Hello everyone, I am using the NFC TAP app on my iPhone to write and read ST25DV16. I am using X-cube-NFC4 to control the MCU and NFC. I meet two questions when I write content into EEPROM.Q1: I control the GPO interrupt when RFWRITE occurs, but when I try to write a quite large file into the tag, let's say 1024 bytes. I read the datasheet, and I believe the interruption will occur only when the writing process is finished. I change MAX_WRITE_BYTE to 1024 as well. However, the GPO interrupt will occur dozens of times during the process, do l have a way to avoid this?Q2: I try to read/write data in the GPO interruption function. However, if I do so, the NFC TAP app will report an error that says Read/Write memory command failed: com.st.st25.STException: Error CMD_FAILED. I wonder why it occurs and what should l do to avoid this problem.Thanks!

I have ported the driver of st25r3911 to nrf52832. At present, it seems that the initialization is normal. The value of the register read after initialization is the same as the value I used using the stm32 development board, but I just can't detect a close nfcv card. I don't know why, I checked the code, and it seemed that the nfcv card could not be detected in this place, and then returned the timeout flagWhat I can confirm is the following points. Is there any example code for ISO14443A passive target mode, which is supported on the ST25R3916B? I'm prototyping basic functionality before fully implementing our application, and it would be nice to do a proof of concept without having to grapple with the RFAL. I'm using the X-NUCLEO-NFC08A1 with an STM32L476RG_NUCLEO.To that note, if there are any instructions on using the RFAL (which headers to modify, any other configurations to set), I would appreciate being pointed to them.

Hello everyone,I am trying to control the GPO interrupt of ST25DV16 using X-CUBE-NFC04. I know that I should change the GPO register. As I want to use GPO_RFWRITE and GPO_ENABLE so the register value should be 0xC0. But when I want to use function CUSTOM_NFCTAG_WriteRegister, it doesn't work. I guess another function, CUSTOM_NFCTAG_ConfigIT, can also control the GPO interruption, but it doesn't work as well(these functions never return NFCTAG_OK). I am sure that I can read UID successfully and I can receive GPO interrupt(at default setting) successfully. Hi,I have a c++ project using the ST25R95 as a reader talking to a STM32L4 micro.  I want to play around with putting it in tag emulation mode so I can use an external reader to read data from it.I see references to emulation in the data sheet but don't really see how to put it into this mode.  Is there any example code or instructions for doing this?
