I'm trying to make genuine STLINK-V3MINIE to work, but without success.The target device is STM32F103C8T6.VCC is connected to T_VCC (pin 3 of STDC14)SWCLK is connected to T_SWCLK (pin 6 of STDC14)SWDIO is connected to T_SWDIO (pin 4 of STDC14)RESET is connected to T_NRST (pin 12 of STDC14)GND is connected to GND and GNDDetect (pins 5, 7, 11 of STDC14)STM32CubeProgrammer is properly detecting STLINK-V3MINIE, even shows voltage of the target.But when I try to connect to target, it gives message:Error: No STM32 target found! Hello,on the STM32H7S78-DK board only USB2 (=USB-FS) can be used to connect the board to a PC and flash the firmware via USB-DFU because only PM11 and PM12 are supported by the internal USB-DFU bootloader. Is there a way to modify the board or to create a custom design with only one USB-C connector with is both connected to USB-FS and USB-HS pins, which can be connected to a PC at startup and shows up as an DFU device when the DFU bootloader is activated at startup but later on acts as an USB-HS host when the application is started? One idea would be to simply connect both PM2/PM3 of the USB-HS phy and PM11/PM12 of the USB-FS phy together and only enable the PHY needed - either for DFU-bootloader or for the USB-HS host, but it is not clear if this is allowed and will be working. Background would be to only need one USB-C connector which normally acts as an USB-HS host but could also be use to flash the firmware via an PC by using the DFU bootloader. Thanks for you h

Hi,   Refer to NUCLEO-H753ZI's schematics - mb1364-h753zi-c01_schematic.pdf  1.  About 8 ADC channels go to CN11 and CN12 on this schematics without the pin numbers denoted..     Do all pins on the connectors CN11 and CN12 accessible since there are no physical connectors?   2. PA0_C, PA1_C, PC2_C, PC3_C, PH2, PH3, PH4, PH5  are all ADC channels, but they are missing in the schematics. Why? Greetings, we are using a STM32F469i-DISCO development board for one of our projects. We are unable to establish Host USB OTG FS communication. The USB shows that it is idle state so we are not able to transmit or receive any communication. We want to establish a Host USB OTG FS communication from the CN13 connector on this board to a device supporting USB via a Usb mini-b connector. We are trying to physically connect these 2 ports via a 'USB micro-b' - 'USB type A female adapter' - 'USB type A female adapter' - 'USB mini b'. The libraries that we use are the ones provided by STMicroelectronics. We are also not aware of how to ensure the host device is working, What can be the issue, we need to resolve this as soon as possible. Thank you   Regards, Ashutosh

Hi everyone,I want to use my evaluation board's RTC Backup Registers to store some info when not powered. In order to do that i want to connect an CR2032 battery to the Vbat pin of the controller. Below is the part of the schematics of the board showing Vbat connections. Do i need to dismount R52 and connect the battery positive directly to Vbat there and battery negative to GND? Is this operation sufficient for my purpose? Thanks in advance...

I designed a circuit for this.1. I want to know about can I use SWO with SWD interface?2. Is my circuit(attached) is correct? (I'm not sure that 50ohm resistors and 100K pullup resistor)

I have been trying to get a PWM output from PE9 by following some example online. However no PWM output at PE9 pin. The desires PWM frequency is 20kHz and duty cycle is 50%. Any suggestion what is the problem ?. Thanks.

I wrote a code for stm32h745, masking the M4 core, and debugged it for two weeks without any problems per se, but yesterday, I realized that I could download the code, but in debug, I noticed that the data in RAM changes, and I didn't make any changes to that data, and I didn't have this problem before. My code hardly changes at all and I can rule out the out of address range issue. What is the reason for this. Is there any part of the chip that is damaged?

Hello ST Community. I have a STM32H755ZI-Q Nucleo board that I seemed to have blown up the STM32 part. I suspect this because the board is getting an overcurrent condition. But have some questions so I can better understand what may have caused this. The Nucleo board is connected to a base board I built via the CN11 and CN12 connections. I am using a handful of I/Os on the CN11 and CN12 connectors for GPIOs, I2C and SPI, along with connecting ground pins.  In addition have a handful of wires connected to the top of the board via CN7/CN8/CN9/CN10 to another board also for GPIOs, SPI, and I2C and ground. This configuration had been working fine for a few months with no issues. The Nucleo board is configured as it is out of the box with the STLink USB power providing power to the Nucleo board. One thing I am doing is that I have the clock configuration set (via STMCubeIDE) to the highest I can get without changing the Nucleo board configuration for SMPS. Hi, My board is acting strange. - When I use the USB to power the board (jumper JP3 on U5V) the led LD5 turns red ( the board draws more than 500mA). So I power the board with external power supply (5V and JP3 on E5V) but even if i'm able to flash the mcu I can't read anything on serial monitor. - Also, most of the PWM pins don't get anymore 3.3V. I'll share a basic piece of code that I use to test with the multimeter the voltage on every pwm pins (I soldered the pins myself). When I power the board I have the board power led ld6 green and I read 5V on pin E5V, 3V on 3V3 pin and 5V on +5V pin. Hello, I have designed a circuit using the STM32F747XIH6, but I am unable to connect and flash the code using ST-Link. I have checked all the connections, and the NRST pin has a pull-up resistor and measures 3.3V. The 25MHz clock signal appears correct on the oscilloscope. The power circuit is designed in SMPS mode as per the datasheet, and the VFB_SMPS pin measures 1.2V. The VCORE1, VCORE2, and VCORE3 pins each have a 2.2µF capacitor and measure 1.0V. Despite these confirmations, I am still unable to connect via ST-Link and flash the code. Could there be any overlooked issue causing this?

I just received a NUCLEO-H503RB dev board, and while attempting to use the GPIO_IOToggle example program to test out the board, I could not run the debugger due to the error "ST-Link not detected." I went back to my NUCLEO-H7S3L8 board, it now receives the same error. A few days ago, I was able to program it.I was able to detect the ST-Link with my NUCLEO-F446RE board.Do I need to reinstall ST-Link or is there a way to force a firmware update on my two NUCLEO USBC dev kits? Thank you.

I'm using an ST-Link V2 to stream (over ITM) code coverage data from an STM32G4 via GDB Server on a PC.This works fine most of the time (for many days), but the data stream sometimes drops some of the data. Adding a delay between calls to ITM_SendChar() on the target stops the data loss, so it appears as if the ST-Link and/or its driver are sometimes unable to keep up.I'm not exactly sure how long the delay needs to be as I am not able to use timers to generate it (as this would invalidate the testing), so I've been using a simple volatile access loop:for ( volatile unsigned delay=0; delay<500; ++delay ); Based on timings and data length, that is introducing delays of about 20uS between the calls.It seems strange to me that it works without the delay most of the time, especially as the target and PC are both running the same software at the time.Is this a known limitation of the ST-Link that would be fixed with a "professional" trace probe?

Hello all, How can I make a vias for the WLCSP156 to connect my internal layers from my PCB with WLCSP156 pads? If the pad diameter is only 0.220 mm in WLCSP156 , and the minimum hole for the vias at the factories is 0.15 mm (with ring is 0.25 mm that alreyde bigger than pads in WLCSP156 ).What is the name of the technology in this case that will allow making a transition hole with a size of 0.1 mm and make the connection between pads for WLCSP156 and the internal layers in my PCB board?

I have an STM32 Nucleo-F446RE, which comes with an integrated ST-LINK/V2-1 debugger. I would like to use this ST-LINK to program an external STM32 MCU that does not have a development board.I checked the Nucleo schematics, and I see that ST-LINK/V2-1 can be used for external programming.I know that I need to connect SWDIO, SWCLK, GND, and  VDD to the external MCU.I removed the two jumpers from CN2 to disconnect ST-LINK from the onboard STM32F446RE.Before proceeding, I want to confirm if this setup is correct, if I need additional components like resistors or capacitors, or if I should buy a dedicated ST-LINK V2 instead.I appreciate any guidance to help me solve this problem.Thank you in advance.

I’m working with an STM32F746G-DISCO board, and I’ve encountered an issue with the board. The ST-Link port is broken, and unfortunately, it cannot be soldered. To make matters worse, the SWD (Serial Wire Debug) pins are not exposed on the board, and there are no Boot0 pins either.

Hello Community,I have been working on CAN for two days, and I haven't been able to figure out the baud rate issue I'm facing. I'm using the HSE as the clock source with a value of 25MHz, as mentioned in the UM2248 document (I'm using the STM32L4R9I-EVAL evaluation board). I've configured the baud rate to 500kbps, but it doesn't work. I suspect the microcontroller switches to the HSI clock at 16MHz. When I reconfigure the baud rate to 500kbps with a 16MHz clock, it works fine.However, when I check the schematics of the board, I see that the X2 crystal is at 16MHz. This creates confusion between the clock value defined in the UM2248 document and the board schematics. Could you please explain why there is a difference between the X2 value in the UM2248 document and the schematics of the evaluation board?Additionally, could you share the schematics for the STM32L4R9I-EVAL MB1313-B-03 board?
