Hello,We have a custom board based mainly on stm32mp257-dk design. The sdcard supply voltage doesn't activate on STPMIC for some reason. Is the stpmic preprogrammed on the DK board or should the Rom code of the MPU activate it via I2C? Best RegardsRaimo

I understand that the STMCube environment doesn't function as a BSDL (Boundary Test) tool. Following the instructions at https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_start_the_Cortex-M_coprocessor_from_U-Boot#Manual_start I try to load and run an M33 app from U-Boot.Within the U-Boot console I managed to load the elf file from the boot partition. My applications are mostly IoT applications.I'd like to know which IDE is best for beginners, between STM32CubeIDE and Visual Studio Code.And where can I get information on how to configure these IDEs to compile and debug user-space C applications remotely?Ari 

HelloWe are using the STM32MP257F in M33TDCID flavour using the packagestm32mp2-m33td-openstlinux-6.6-yocto-scarthgap-mpu-v25.06.11We can boot and run the Non Secure application, but when we try to use some of the peripherals (I2C, SPI, GPIO)we see processor exceptions or Resource Manager issues.How do we configure the device to allow the Non-Secure application access to all the peripherals Thanks  

Hello,I am working with a SOM based on the STM32MP157C and I am trying to bring up a display panel that uses the Sitronix ST7703 MIPI DSI controller.The operating system has been built with Yocto using the BSP provided by the SOM vendor. This BSP is based on Linux kernel 5.4, which unfortunately does not contain the upstream panel-sitronix-st7703 driver.Has anyone already backported the ST7703 panel driver to Linux 5.4 for STM32MP1 platforms? Or does anyone have guidance on how to integrate this driver into an older kernel version?Any hints, patches, or references would be greatly appreciated.Thank you in advance!

Hello.We are developing a device with the STM32MP257 and we will not have a USB Type-C connector in our design. We plan to use the USB3DR as a USB2.0 device with a USB 2.0 connector to USB boot (USB boot for flashing). Does the STM32MP2 embedded bootloader uses the UCPD CCx signals?How can we inform the USB3DR about detection of the USB VBUS?Is is possible to emulate UCPD CCx signals (sink mode) from the USB VBUS as a variant of detecting the incoming USB power?Best regards,Vadim Aleynikov

I have had difficulties programming the STM32MP257 via stm32cubeide. I followed the first few steps to flash an OS image onto the board using the section populate and boot the image, from the STM website. When trying to flash IOC generated code via stm32 cube ide It gives me an ethernet over usb error if I have just the ST-LINK connected, but when I connect to the DFU usb, it seems like it will flash for a moment and throws this remoteproc error. I think it may be a secure boot issue with the stlinux, but im not sure how to get around this or what options I have.

Dear All,I'm having problem to get DFU over USB running on custom board.In general device can boot from SD card and with no SD card it can be detected via uart4 by STM programmer, so it enters DFU as far as I can tell.USB DP/DM is connected to DP2 (being pulled-up to ~3.3V) and DM2 (looks like a weak pull down). OTG_ID (PA10) hangs free and OTG_VBUS (U15) hangs free.3V3_USBHF+FS connected to LDO4 and present (3.3V)EDIT: 24Mhz xtal present, no 22Ohm series resistors and also removed all esd protection at this moment...Nothing happens on the USB lines when I connect the cable to the PC and the device is not detected. The voltage on the OTG_ID pin is LOW - which is strange, as is should be pulled up theoretically. Connecting OTG_VBUS (PA10) pin to VBUS from the connector does not change anything, that is - no detection, no communication, looks like my device behaves like a host.I could not find any reference design for USB connection, but I really thought it is so simple. Any suggestions

Hello Experts,Based on STM32MP257F-EV1 we have designed a custom board. For the DDR, PMIC, and eMMC we tried to follow the EV1 rooting as much as possible.  Hello,I am testing a custom board based on STM32MP257FAK3 with two DDR4 MT40A1G16RC-062E_B devices, for a total of 4 GB (32-bit width).I have correctly set up the main configuration files to work with the PMIC and UART. I also exported the PCB layout of the Ax pins using CubeMX and re-imported them into the DDR configuration file. The .stm32 image is successfully generated and uploaded through CubeProgrammer. I can also access the console and successfully complete steps 0 and 1.However, when reaching step 2, the initialization fails.After some investigation, it seems that the failure occurs during training after the PHY configuration, specifically in the function: ddrphy_phyinit_usercustom_g_waitfwdone()At this point, the call to get_major_message() always returns 0xFF, which causes the program to enter the failed state.My questions are:Could this be related to incorrect training values not being properly written into the RAM?Or is it more likely that the PHY is not synchron

Hi, I tried exporting the IBIS model from ST website. On importing model to SI tool I can see that there is no model assigned to DSI lines. It is showing NC. Can you share the IBIS model with MIPI drivers in it. or share some IBIS model which I can use for my simulation of MIPI line interface  

Hello, I am working with the STM32MP135F-DK development board and trying to interface the onboard GC2145 camera with the STMIPID02 MIPI-to-parallel bridge. The goal is to convert the camera's MIPI output to parallel data, which is then received by the DCMIPP peripheral.During debugging, I encountered a strange issue: after each power-on reset, there is only about a 10% chance that the system successfully receives continuous image frames. In the remaining 90% of cases, the DCMIPP does not receive any image data at all.I conducted further investigation and found that in the failure cases, the VSYNC signal output from the STMIPID02 goes high only once at startup and then remains constantly high. However, the HSYNC, PCLK, and DATA signals appear to be in the same state as during normal operation. Additionally, the STMIPID02’s ERROR signal remains low (indicating no error), and the INT signal stays high (indicating an interrupt condition).Given this situation, I would like to ask what could

Hi,We’re working with an STM32MP157DAC SoM for driver development and testing. Right now, every time we make a change, we have to rebuild the full image, which takes around 1 to 1.5 hours. I’d like to speed this up by building only the kernel separately and then copying just the updated driver file to the board for testing. Hi ST,I'm working with the STM32MP257FAI3 Processor and have some concerns regarding DQ bit swapping between the SoC's DQ lines and the DDR4 RAM DQ lines.I'm already aware of the guidelines document mentioned in this solution.From my understanding of the document,DQ bits within a byte lane and DQ byte lanes are invariant in a device, allowing for appropriate swapping. However, the DqxLnSel registers should remain at their default values.This applies to DDR4, and there is no need to configure DQ bit swapping in arm-trusted-firmware. The DDR firmware and DDRCTRL internal PMU will manage DQ swapping during the initial training.Can anyone validate my understanding?Thank you in advance.

I was able to flash the example which works very well but it does not have a .ioc file (which is necessary for my project).So I used the STM32CubeMX Board Selector to generate an empty project.First problem (screen 1), CubeMX tells me that DSIHOST, MDF1, and RCC are in conflict.Since I don't need the Digital Filter and the screen, I disabled them.I still have the RCC conflict. Hi I am using Marvell Ethernet Phy(mv88q2220) in our project,i have integrated my Marvell driver into SDK and it is probing as well, we are using sxgmac driver for mac, while i am trying to initialize the eth0 interface i am facing issues related to validation of phy and phy is not able to attach.I have checked the phy-mode also it is configured correctly. Hello, we are currently designing a STM32MP257 based custom PCB. During the PCB design of LPDDR4 interface, we realized that the excel table provided by ST includes the package pin to PCB lengths and the calculations are done based on the track lengths, not delays. Since the PCB materials may differ from one board to another, the propagation delay values are needed, rather than the pin length values in order to implement a successful time matching.  Could you provide us with the package to pin propagation delay values for STM32MP257FAI3? Thanks in advance. 

Hii Team,I'm working on an ISP tuning project for an IMX219 sensor on an STM32MP257F-DK board, using the X-LINUX-ISP package and the ISP IQTune tool.I am facing some errors like1. The COM port is not getting detected in the ISP IQTune tool and giving error asWaiting for board detection service2. Also when I run the python code from x-linux-isp tool it is giving a resolution errorThe board is recognized by my laptop using acm command and lsusb but it is not coming in the application.My Question is :1. What is the reason for it to get detected in the laptop but not the application?2. What other changes are required so that the board gets detected?3. Why this resolution error and how can i resolve this error?

Hello, I'm in the process of designing an edge computer using a MP2 processor. Due to the shortage of LPDDR4 memories, I'd like to use LPDDR4X memories.
