Dear sir,I am using stm8s105c6t6 controller for one of my projects. i am using AWU for low power consumption.when i was add the AWU with MVR on code in to my source code led's are blinking irregular (some times it is glowing for 1s).I am using PWM for led blinking.Here  when ever the pwm pulse and sleep mode coming same time the led should be off. But that led not off in sleep mode.Can you please tell me how to write code for AWU with MVR off on standard libraries.

Hello, im quite new to the stm world. Recently i got into a project where i might need alot of mcu's doing basic stuff. After a little searching i found that stm8 mcu's are very cheap. I already got a STM8S103F3P6 and a st-link and so i tried to follow a few tutorial on the internet. I've downloaded stvd and the cosmic compiler and after a few hours of trying it out, i haven't had any great result. This might be because im more of a java programmer or cause im used to arduino but whatever. So i got a few questions:-So im using stvd and cosmic but is the best tools i could use or is there something better for me?-One of the things that confused me alot is that in the tutorials they got a delay.c and delay.h wich i never got from cosmic. Do you gotta get this yourself or does cosmic have it ?And any tips would be great :)If there is already a page about this im sorry, i was not able to find it.

Hello all,I have an application based on the STM8S003F3 where invalid logic levels could appear on the UART RX line. (By design due to the ground offsets in a bigger system.) In some cases the UART misinterprets bytes mainly when the low level of the 0 bits is around 2.2VIn the DS7147 page 66 section 9.3.6 the following is present: My application uses 5V VDD, so if I calculate right the VIHmin is 3.5V and the VILmax is 1.5 V in my case. And in the following page there is a graph which is the following:If I read it right the VIL is ~2.2V and the VIH is ~2.9V.

Is there any way to programm STM8 using a command line software ? I tried with ST-LINK_CLI but that is just for 32bits, no SWIM option

Hi all. I am a complete newbie with regard to the world of the STM8 and the programming of it so there are very high odds that I will completely use the wrong terminology in order to express what I think I know and also what I am working to acheive... but I gotta start somewhere so here goes... :)First off.. circuit architecture and what is in place...I am using an audio power amp that is used in speaker cabinets and it has a DSP chip in it (Analog Devices ADAU1701) I have been using this chip and programming it for years now but the manufacturer of the amp changed everything and now I am unable to write it to load my own programming.The previous version of the amp had a direct connection via I2C to the ADAU1701 and it's self-boot e2prom and I was able to program it easily.With this new version the amp's manufacturer wanted to provide more functionality by installing their own front end to tweak the amp

Hello,I'm designing a PCB using the STM8L152C6T6 communicating with an M24LR04E-RMC6T via the I2C protocol. Currently, I'm struggling to understand the power supply schema. According to the datasheet, VDD1, VDD2, and VDDA pins must be connected to an external power supply (1.8v - 3.6v) and the refs connected to the ground. I want to use the pin 5 of STM8S001J3 micro as open drain output. After properly setting the port data / direction / CR1 / CR2 registers (for both the I/Os tied to such pin), I tried to activate the alternate function of TIM2_CH3 on PA.3 , but I couldn't be able to get the open drain configuration. The output results active on both high and low levels, like a push pull ouput. I added a diode (cathode towards the pin) to get my circuit working, but I've read on the datasheet (in the I/O ports description) that the alternate function will follow the settings of the port pin. So, if I set the port as O.D. output and then I set the alternate function of that port as TIM2_CH3 output, it still must be an Open Drain output. Is there something wrong ? Where is my mistake ? Does anybody experimented the same behaviour ? I don't want to use a timer interrupt and another pin (PB4 seems to be always O.D.) to obtain the same function. I can go on with the diode or with a transistor connected to

i installed the latest stvd, in windows 10.i try a program, for the discovery board., its ok with compling, and build, but when i want to debug, it say " connection error (usb:/usb):gdi-error (40201)can't access configuration databasei can read out the program on the discovery board with the visual programmer. so my usb connection is ok.please can you inform me how to solve that problemmany thanks marcd.

I am using STM8AF5288 microcontroller in one of my project. Is it possible to sense direct +12 signal input by port pins? I am using current limit resistor in Input.All the port pins in ST microcontroller have clamping diodes.Will i able to sense +12v signal input ? Below the circuit used in my project.

Hello all,I would like to use the Unique ID in a code written for a STM8S208RB, but it seems not to be where it is supposed... Following the datasheet (DocID14733) information the Unique ID it is supposed to be in 0x48cd. Each time I read these area I get different results :( (I have attached some screenshots). Is any instruction needed to be executed before reading the Unique ID? Thanks for your help!

I am using stm8s003f3 controller for your project. I want to run timer 4 and timer 2 for 10 hours when a button is a press(external interrupt generated).I tried but my timer 4 is not going for more than 15 min.Can you please help me out

Hi everyone,I'm using the STM8S003 and I need to use the alternate function of PC5 so I've to change the default value of the option byte AFR0.This operation is easy using a programmer (ex. STVP) but I'd like to insert this procedure in the source code. I've created this small routine for doing it:  if(FLASH_ReadOptionByte(0x4803)!=0x01)  {  FLASH_Unlock(FLASH_MEMTYPE_DATA);  FLASH_EraseOptionByte (0x4803); FLASH_ProgramOptionByte(0x4803, 0x01);   FLASH_Lock(FLASH_MEMTYPE_DATA);  } It seems to work correctly but I'd like to have your opinion about it. Thanks,Alan 

Hi Technical team, After the long periods of search i found that STM8L series microcontrollers are suitable for consuming low power.But i found only STM8L152C6T6 Discovery board on internet. May i know what are the other development or discovery boards are available in market based on STM8L?
