Hi, I use a X-NUCLEO-BNRG2A1 with a NUCLEO-L476RG .I try to use the BlueNRG GUI for the Virtual_COM_Port application. I copy directly the binary file into the "NUCLEO" device. But when I open the Port on GUI, it is displayed "no device detected" then ""no firmware detected on the motherboard"When I update the motherboard under tools menu this message is displayed (on the picture)I try but the LED does nothing. Then I choose the file USB_to_SERIAL.hex, but it displays "No DFU board found".Can anyone provide a hint how to get BlueNRG GUI working ?

In the Data Sheet for the ST8034P the following is not clear about the ST8034PQRwhen the CLK output is active, does fCLK = fCLKIN or fCLK = fCLKIN/2 ?assuming fCLK = fCLKIN: is there some duty cycle (or other characteristic) to be met on the CLKIN input in order to get the specified 45/55% duty cycle on the CLK output?Context is migrating a design from ST8034ATDT to ST8034PQR. The old design uses the fXTAL/2 functionality of table 13, with CLKDIV=1. ST8034P has no CLKDIV input. But it's untold if the behavior is that of CLKDIV=1 or CLKDIV=0.A clue that fCLK = fCLKIN is that both have the same maximum frequency (26 MHz). But then, I wonder how the 45/55% duty cycle for CLK in table 8 is obtained without some slightly tighter duty cycle spec on CLKIN.

Hello,We are in process of selecting a suitable BLE SoC for an industrial sensor network design which would support coded PHY LR communication. The BLUENRG-355Ax MCU fits all the requirements perfectly except for one major point - Embedded Bootloader Errata.The Errata sheet says that the Embedded Bootloader would fail to boot up the chip properly if we enable readout protection and/or disable SWD. This is disastrous since our BLE applications require the peripherals to securely connect to the central device and for security the internal flash is preferred to store keys. Could anyone from ST recommend a workaround for this? Has this been addressed in recent versions of the chip? And if so is there a way to ensure that we order the latest chips which probably won't have this issue?Thanks & Regards,Mayuresh Manjrekar

Hi,I'm seeing some very strange behavior on the ADC of the BlueNRG-LP. It looks like the ADC is skipping codes near the inversion point of a differential input, with similar behavior in single ended mode near 0.9V (with a 1.2V reference). This is on the STEVAL-IDB011V2 development kit.High level description of the ADC configuration:* Differential mode input on PB2/PB3 (differential input 0)* 1MSPS sample rate* 16 bit depth* Downsampler active (ratio varies)* Input common mode at 0.6V* 1.2V internal reference voltage* Analog watchdog off* DMA activeWhat I'm seeing is that the ADC skips over a range close to, but not exactly at, the midpoint of the sample range. In 16 bit mode the range is approx 32700-32750 (with 32768 being the midpoint). See attached images (X axis is seconds, Y axis ADC code).This is with the downsampler active.  And this is sampling at full 1MSPS, no downsampling. In a custom board using BlueNRG, sometimes, specially while using external debug interface, we fall in a condition in which BlueNRG get "broken". Investigating more in deep, we discovered that sending the write "header" packet (0x0A, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00) over SPI, we always get (0x02, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00) answer, so, the device seems to be in ready state but there is no space on transmit buffer. Below there is the code we used for test. Our BlueNRG function ever exit with "1" value (fail). At the moment we can solve the situation only by phisically replacing the BlueNRG chip, but it's very strange that we have a consistent SPI answer (with 0x02 byte correctly placed in first byte) but always 0 bytes on tx buffer. Hi,we are issuing some problems regarding BNRG2A1 used in LL_ONLY mode (we are using an external bluetooth stack running on the host).This is our setup:X-NUCLEO-BNRG2A1 mounted on NUCLEO-STM32L476RG. The BNRG2A1 firmware is the DTM_basic SPI example (en.stsw-bluenrg1-dk_v3.2.2) compiled w/ LL_ONLY symbol (in order to be used in HCI mode using third-party bluetooth stack running on the host side) and BLE_STACK_FULL_CONFIGURATION;This is our test scenario:we connect & bond to a test application running on iOS. Hello,I am using a P-NUCLEO-IOM01M1 kit that is made out of the STEVAL-IOM001V1 evaluation board and the NUCLEO-F446RE microcontroller.I would like to read an IO-Link flow sensor made by Keyence(FD-H).In order to achieve this I want to use the STSW-IOM001 software but I am very new to stm32 and don't really understand which functions to use.Using a GUI is not really an option for me, because the microcontroller won't be connected to a PC as it's supposed to read the IO-Link sensor data and transmit it out through UART.I am a student, so any help or pointers would be appreciated.

I've written an STUSB4500-based MCU application that displays the voltage and current options available from a USB-C adapter, and allows you to select one.New chargers that support USB Power Delivery 3.1 can offer Source PDOs above 20V. For example, the Apple 140W charger offers a Source PDO of 28V 5A.Do I need to filter out a PDO greater than 20V before using it to set up a Sink PDO on the STUSB4500, or is this done automatically by the STUSB4500? I'm concerned that a 28V VBUS would damage the STUSB4500 and surrounding circuitry.

Hi all,I would like to use the ST60A2G0 chipset for a design. According to the ST website, the chip has been available for quite a while. However, I couldn't find any distributor who actually sells the chip. I found a connectivity module on amazon (link), which contains four of the chips, but unfortunately this is not available for sale in Europe either. Can you let me know, where and how to buy the ST60A2G0 chipset, or when it will be commercially available?Thank you!

I'm using STM32F401 with ST7580 with Nucleo-plm01a1 in Powerline Communications.Are present PHY and DATA layers, but not upper stack layers.Someone knows if there is a stack's higher levels for this hardware?Thanks in advance.

Hi,I am working on a CAN Bus project with TCAN1051 and STM32G0. In this project i have to send approx. 175 bytes of data though CAN. It will take around 22 frames to send this data. And i can't figure out how to send all the frames. If i send all of them at once i might get RX_FIFO overflow error. Can anyone help me with this. Thanks

Hi!I'm starting a hostless BlueNRG-M2 application (this application runs directly on BlueNRG-M2's Cortex-M0, not on an external MCU).I was able to find and run the example projects using the "STSW-BLUENRG1-DK" package, but I did not find a way to configure the pins and build a base project using CubeMX.I was wondering if there is support for this MCU on CubeMX or not. Because right now I'm using the examples to build my own application, and I'm not sure if that's the right approach.Thanks!

I want to use a STUSB4500LBJR for USB-C power delivery. On the datasheet stands that connecting the I2C lines is optional and in another datasheed of the STUSB4500 stands that I don't have to use a microcontroller. But I cannot find information about choosing a voltage output I want from the STUSB4500 on the internet.

If I want to read a register content will I be able to get it in the same MISO data?For example, I am sending a 32-bit SPI data (MOSI) to read the content in register "SR1". Hi!Can somebody help, what is the SPI command for triggering sync pulse on PSI5 channel? Auto generated sync pulse mode works fine but i can not find the corresponding SPI command for sync pulse triggering in datasheet.I would like to use the following:L9663 datasheet - page 36."Triggering via SPI without upstream data buffer. The microcontroller sends the corresponding SPI command for a sync pulse. The sync pulse trigger generator then internally generates the appropriate sync pulses, based on the specific SPI command sent."
