Hey. I am planning to buy BlueNRG-2 development board and learn programming the bluetooth module. I have been looking for the information on how do you actually develop the code for the bluetooth module and what IDE do you use but cannot find any information about that. For programming STM32, I use stm32cubeIDE and Keil. Can I use these programs to program/debug BlueNRG-2 modules? I appreciate the answer please can someone confirm

Hi everyone!I have a custom PCB with a STM32L4 connected via SPI to a SPBTLE-1S. As indicated in the datasheet the SPBTLE-1S is built around the BlueNRG-1 SoC. Until now I understood that I have to configure the SPBTLE-1S as a network co-processor in order to allow it's usage on a custom PCB.In the DT0121 Design tip (How to configure the BlueNRG-1 and BlueNRG-2 devices in network coprocessor mode) document is written:"The purpose of this design tip is to provide customers with guidelines on how to modify the reference DTM application for running on a custom printed circuit board (PCB).",an than,"In order to configure the BlueNRG-2 device as a network coprocessor, the device shall be programmed with a specific application, named DTM (Direct Test Mode). Hello,I have the SampleApp running with the BlueNRG-2 firmware on the X-NUCLEO-BNRG2A1. When I reflash the X-NUCLEO-BNRG2A1 with the BlueNRG-2N firmware the SampleApp stops working. It runs again when I switch back to the original firmware.BlueNRG-2 firmware used:DTM_SPI.hexBlueNRG-2N firmware used:BlueNRG_2N_FW_V3_2_0.binAm I missing some configuration steps or something else completely?Best regards,Steven

Good morning,I'm trying to connect the SPBTLE-1S module to my nucleo board, but it seems that the BLE module is not recognized. Using the BlueNRG GUI, I am able to get only the Motherboard FW number, instead the BLE device is not detected. Is it possible that the SPBTLE-1S is not programmed? I've tried also to program the BLE module itself, but without any positive results. Can you provide some detailed guidelines in order to connect the SPBTLE-1S module to my nucleo board and eventually program it with the last FW available?Thank you in advance.Carlo

Hello,I have X-NUCLEO-BNRG2A1 module, running the BLE2 sample application with some modification. I mannage to connect to the module with my Windows PC.I would like to send data to it using a COM Port. But the Bluetooth is not seens as a COM port. I could note change it in windows option.It seems that device add to "show" the "Standard Serial over Bluetooth" capabilities.Any one knows how to add it? I could not find such a function in the SampleApplication and BLE stack.Thank you

Hello Sir/Madam,Product PN: STWD100xY.Problem: The problem is not with the actual product itself, but with the datasheet. The existing datasheet makes it very difficult to determine if the product is suitable for our application. For the value for the parameter [Watchdog timeout period, tDW] we are looking for a variation of less than +/-5% from nominal, for constant Vcc (3.3V) and constant temperature (25C).The problem is that the datasheet seems to show that the initial value for the parameter [Watchdog timeout period] is very wide: 1.6s typ, but can be as low as 1.12s and as high as 2.24s, a variation of -0.48s (30%) / +0.64s (40%). (refer datasheet, Table 4 on page 13, refer image below with link). We can accommodate some level of manufacturing tolerance, but -30/+40% is just too wide, we need a tighter range.Note 1 of that datasheet table seems to indicate that the wide variation is due the Test Conditions, which are:a) temperature, -40 to +125Cb) supply voltage, Vcc: 2.

Hello,I have two X-Nucleo-BNRG2A1 demo board, with Nucleo Board, working fine with the SampleApplication of the X-CUBE-BLE2.The two module pair correctly, one being the Master, sending message to the slave.I would like now to use another device to connect to the X-Nucleo-BNRG2A1. I can see the bluetooth one the other device, but when trying to connect, it ask for a Key.What is the Key, or how to read it? Is there a way to enable Key free connection?Thank you

Hello people , we need some help from ST for solving the ST7538-Q interfacing with SPI .I don't even no where I have to ask the question .currently I am working in powerline communication using st7539-q and we are trying to communicate ST7538 -Q via SPI interface using this pins RX( MOSI),TX(MISO),CLR/T(SCLK), RxTx and REG_DATA for selecting the transmission (or) reception (or)control register read (or)control register write I can selecting using this pins (REG_DATA AND RxTx).....LIKE 00,01,10,11TB= 417 Micro secondsTCC=2*TB=834 Micro secondsTCR=TB/4=104.25 Micro seconds we are doing the as per the SPI clock diagram and and with this timing but we cant get nothing in the RX(MOSI)..Actually in datasheet they told if we do like SPI CLK DIAG we get some internal control register value but our mosi pin only on high nothing it will send..... do you have a source code send it it will helpful for us thank you Plz give some response because we are struggling with in it .

I am using BLE Chat application where I have added the bonding feature. When I don't use OTA, I can connect to the device and bond it and the bond information stays even after reconnecting to the device.But when the OTA is enabled, once I connect to the device and bond it and disconnect it the bond information is getting erased and the device is again asking to bond on reconnection.

If so , does anybody have a reference for how this would work? I found this chip based on the description from the Tinyduino bluetooth module on their website: https://learn.tinycircuits.com/Communication/Bluetooth-Low-Energy_TinyShield_Tutorial/. I was just wondering what additional interfacing would require to get this connected to an Arduino or just an ATMega chip. I'm not great at making circuits so any advice or help would be fantastic! Or just references to resources too :)

We purchased STMIPID02 couple of years ago and currently we want to support MIPI D-PHY v2.5 and MIPI CSI-2 v3.0. The STMIPID02 is too old and no similar chip updated in your solutions. Do you have any plan to deliver MIPI solution similar with STMIPID02 to be compliant with CSI-2 v3.0 and D-PHY v2.5?

Hello,in our application, we are using STEVAL-STLKT01V1 boards.I ported the BLE Chat application from BlueNRG DK 2.0.2 to STEVAL-STLKT01V1 and I'm able to transfer data between client and server.However, I discovered that data transfer rate is quite slow.The transfer rate for data sent from server to client reaches about 6KBytes per second.But in the opposite direction, for data sent from client to server, I'm getting a ridiculous speed of 160 bytes per second.I'm having difficulties to understand if there are some options in the source code that could change those speeds.How can I regulate the speed of the link in the BLE Chat application?Thank you very much for your time.Sincerely,Carlo Bramini.

Hello,I'm working on the Nucleo-BNRG2A1 board.Starting from the Virtual_COM_Port application in X-CUBE-BLE2 version 3.1.0, I have made modification to work on my L496ZG-P Nucleo Board.When started the BlueNRG GUI 4.0.0, I have the following error popup:"Old DTM fw detected. Update DTM fw."On first test, version given by BlueNRG GUI were the following:BlueNRG-2 HW v1.2BlueNRG FW v2.1 - DTM SPI v3.0.0Motherboard FW v1.6I used BlueNRG-W Flasher Utility with the DTM_SPI.hex file in BlueNRG GUI\Firmware directory to update the board. Now versions are the following:BlueNRG-2 HW v1.2BlueNRG FW v2.1c - DTM SPI v3.2.0Motherboard FW v1.6But I still have the same error popup.Is there anything else I can do to avoid this error? In BlueNRG GUI I tryed the Stack Updater with no succes.Thank youAntoine

I wanted to test one feature for my product where I need to transfer the chunks of data (in Hex) from mobile app to ST BlueNRG2 device.SO wanted to ask do we have such standard mobile app for free which can be used for testing the data transfer between mobile app and BlueNRG2 device?
