MEMS and sensors

I would like to change the state of the INT_DRDY of LPS22DF. I have tried to change the value of INT_H_L bit in register CTRL_REG3 (12h), but it has no (immediate) effect. Is it necessary to activate the pin? I have also tried different values in CTRL_REG4 (13h), without effect.Thank you.

This makes it such that we cannot work with the libcamera source or custom applications, unless we use your pre-compiled libcamera libraries.Could we please get source code for the changes, per LGPL 2.1, which libcamera uses? Or, for now, if this takes some time for you to do, please just the camera helper file would be massively helpful. This is likely called "camera_helper_vd55g0.cpp" inside of "src/ipa/rpi/cam_helper/". Of course we can write our own but we chose this path for ease of integration and speed.This would greatly assist us in integrating your sensor to our product.Thank you! Hello,I want to use LSM6DSM, so I got the dev-kit and tested it out.Now I decided to use this sensor and was looking for the symbols in Altium, but it is NRND, so I double checked in ST Micro web site if it was NRND, but it is still Active.As I am going to use this sensor now, I would like to make sure of guaranteed longevity. I couldn't find this in the longevity page.   

I bought a STEVAL-55G0MBI1, which is the VD55G0 S-Board eval kit. Trying to output the image to my PC, nothing is coming out.  What could be the issue with my setup?  

Hi, when using the VL53L1X, it is suggested to check for the range status and 0(zero) is considered the desired range status. Now, as I understand it, the range status 2(two) is dependent on the signal threshold. By default, the signal threshold is set to 1024, and can be adjusted by calling the SetSignalThreshold().My problem is that, at larger distance (around 2m), the signal rate that I am getting by checking GetSignalRate() is way below. Sometimes around 30-60. This results in getting range status 2 all the time. So should i modify the signal threshold value to less than 50 so that I can consider the distance I read is valid. But are the distances valid if I do this? Or what are the possible signal threshold value that I could set so I can get the range status 0?Another issue is that even in open air, I am getting range status 2 with distance being reported at 2.2m~2.7m. This affects my reading because I cannot differentiate between the valid signal between objects or open air. Wha

Hi guys,This has likely been covered before so please feel free to point me to it.I'm trying to set up the LSM6DSOX Pedometer to store count to FIFO, but having no luck.I am not using the Library, as it is not easily ported to my uC.Would anyone be able to highlight for me the registers I need to set up for basic operation, so that I can tinker from there?I have been able to set up the pedometer to interrupt, but not write to FIFO.I'd also be interested in the steps to read from the FIFO, but imagine that this will be easier once I'm writing correctly..Thanks,Ben

May I ask how to convert the IR channel ADC value of VD6283TX45 to IR optical power, only the RGB channel is converted to Lux in Driver, and there is no description about this IR optical power in Datasheet.

Greetings!When I measure objects closer than 10 mm from the VL53L4CD, the result deviates significantly from what was expected, and the result also varies significantly depending on the texture and gloss of the object.Is it possible to configure the VL53L4CD to be more accurate in the range 0 - 10mm distance from the sensor?I have carried out some simple test measurements in the range 20 - 0 mm with the colors matt black, matt grey, light yellow and shiny white. I am using the chip ASM330LHH, when I write 0X40 to register 0X10, I can read the value 0X40 that I wrote, but when I write 0X60, I can't read 0X60, what's going on?

Dear SirWe are Interfacing STmicro part no MP23DB01HP which is a MEMS MIC with PDM output. We are interfacing this MIC with STM32F105RB microcontroller as it has I2S port.We are unable to find any library for this and how to calculate all the parameters required. How to convert PDM to PCM in STM32F1.Our main aim is to find DBm of sound level using the MICKindly provide us support as we had already integrated all the hardware and after that its not working  

I am new to a lot of this and could use some help.  I recently started a new job and my first project is reliability for one of our bread and butter products.  I am evaluating better bearings, seals, etc. and am going to use the Proteus mounted on the equipment to monitor motor vibration.  I have everything mounted and I can watch the sensor outputs from the app on my phone but I really need to be able to use the USB connection to connect the Proteus to my laptop so I can log the data.  Is there a desktop program that I am just not seeing?  I can't get my laptop to recognize the Proteus when connected via USB.  I am hoping to only use USB and not the battery.  Is there an expert out there that can give me a hand?  Thank you! 

I tried all 3 available demos: default, FP-AI and Datalogger.At last I flashed the original default demo back. I am conducting research on robot control, and to handle data obtained from the LSM6DS3H embedded in the robot, I want to understand how acceleration and angular velocity are measured. Specifically, I would like to learn about the internal structure of the accelerometer and gyroscope within the LSM6DS3H. Hello  I have my oven custom board in which I used accelerometer (LSM6DSLTR), magnetometer (IIS2MDCTR) and STM32L4 series controller. Initially I tried to get north heading through magnetometer but due to external noise some time I am getting proper north heading but some time getting wrong orientation. I tried soft Iron and hard iron compensation but due to variable soft iron some time I am getting wrong north heading. I was trying to use e-Compass library but still don't get proper orientation. I have following two questions. 1) Can we use e-Compass library for custom board in which LSM6DSLTR accelerometer and IIS2MDCTR magnetometer is used. 2) I am using my custom board in very noisy environment in which standalone magnetometer is not capable to calculate proper north heading. I also used hard iron and soft iron still getting wrong north heading. so is it possible to calculate proper north heading using accelerometer and magnetometer fusion using e-Compass librar

Hi ST,I wanted to validate/confirm our Calibration procedure.  When we calibrate prior to calibration we set timing budget and intermeasurement to what they are normally when our code boots up.  So,  during calibration we do the same.  Can someone please confirm this is the correct procedure? We are having issues with the VL53L4CD Time of Flight Sensor.The sensor works properly after initialization, but after some measurements it starts having problems. It either stops ranging or returns a ranging result similar or equal to the previous one, while returning data ready TRUE and ranging OK (Results status 0).  Here's a description of what happens when the sensor still ranges but gives wrong results (second case):- We take an initial ranging (distance from an object)- We move the sensor away from the object- We ask for a ranging: the result is similar or equal to the initial measure.- Now we move the sensor away again- We ask for a new ranging: the result is the one we expect after the first movement. Some detailed info:- The sensor initialization is copied from the "ranging basics" example attached with the drivers.- We changed the interrupt to active high by changing the value of register 0x30 in VL53L4CD_DEFAULT_CONFIGURATION (VL53L4CD_api.c)- We se

HI,Is there any way to reset SFLP "Game vector" readings at runtime, once SFLP enabled?For instance, after few minutes of SFLP run, it reports (after quaternion to Euler conversion) YAW: 1.5, PITCH: 0.5, ROLL: 0.1. And I'd like to reset Yaw to 0 (zero). Is there any way to do so on chip (manipulating offsets, "soft" algorithm reset etc.)?Surely it is possible to use external matrix to compensate for the above in software but maybe there is some "undocumented" way to ask SFLP to do the same? Thanks
