Hi All,I'm working on driving sensorless BLDC motor by 120 degrees trapezoidal control.I'm stuck on to get back-emf voltage like below figure:My result is like this.And the circuit used for voltage sens part is as follow.I don't know if it's a circuit problem or a control firmware problem.Please suggest how to get trapezoidal back-emf waveform.

Hello experts!my GP is to design an offline DC/DC converter ( LLC )  for cordless home applainces similar to the attached file, now I am aware of how to design LLC for conventional Chargers (wired) to some extent, but i get compeletly confused when it goes to design LLC converter for wireless application specially how to integrate the coupling factor in the LLC design, I have Knew that LLC isn't the optimal resonance tank to use with WPT due to the coupling factor, but we have choosed it because that our coupling factor values expected to be high > 0.7 in home Applainces applications because the distance btw the coupled coils is small, and certainly for the high efficieny LLC providesI hope u suggest any AN or Refernces help my in the designing the LLC tank, certainly, I Would happy to hear any general recommendation about the project as well.Thank u for yout time and considrations   

I'm using MOSFET STW3N170 in an H-Bridge configuration along with TI’s gate driver UCC21330. During testing, observed an issue with the switching speed as the test is for high dv/dt Observed Behavior: Rise time ≈ 5 µs Fall time ≈ 5 µs Test Conditions: Gate resistance: 2.2 Ω Gate driver isolated pulse rise time: ~30 ns Expectation: As per the STW3N170 datasheet, the rise and fall times are specified in the nanosecond range, but the MOSFET switching is significantly slower. This slower rise/fall is limiting dv/dt performance, which is critical for our H-Bridge application. Could you please advise: If there are any specific considerations when using MOSFET STW3N170 with high-speed drivers like UCC21330. Whether additional circuit or layout recommendations are required to achieve faster switching.  

Hi, There is no specific writing description for the cnt bit in the manual.I guess it's the first time I've powered on and written 1. If I reset the chip through the reset pin, should the cnt be written to 1 after the reset or keep the negation of the last write? Thanks.

Hi Sir,We have connected the REXT resistor with a value of 241 Ohms, which sets the current to 80 mA. I would like to confirm whether it is possible to use an external current control circuit to dim the LED.For example, in the case of STP08CP05TTR, with VDD = 3.3V REXT = 241 Ohms, can I control the LED current from 20 mA to 80 mA using an external current control circuit to adjust the brightness?In this setup, I plan to apply a constant 5V as the LED supply voltage.Additionally, I would like to clarify the following:Is this device a constant current sinking driver?Is the current set by REXT the maximum allowable current or the constant current used for sinking?If I apply 5V with 20 mA using an external current control circuit, what will happen? Will there be any issues such as voltage drops or other effects apart from dimming?Kindly confirm if this approach is suitable.

Hello,We are using Viper31 to step down 250VDC to 12VDC in a buck configuration as shown in Figure 42 of the datasheet:This is also the same topology used in STEVAL-VP319X1B:We are working with STEVAL-VP319X1B to try to implement the UVP function with a UVP threshold of 230V. However, we have been unsuccessful in our efforts. We currently have the RH and RL voltage divider connected to Vin, UVP, and Viper31 GND. However, Viper31 GND is different from the circuit GND, because this is a high-side buck topology. We suspect this is why we have been unsuccessful. We have RH = 10M and RL = 20k. With this setup, when Vin = 150V, we see the chip draws up to 2mA of current and back down to near zero current and then back up to 2mA over and over continuously. It looks like it is attempting to turn on every 30ms, indicating perhaps that we are triggering the UVP 30ms timers.We suspect the issue is that Viper31 GND is different from circuit GND, which makes the UVP implementation more co

Hello ST community, I am working with the STM UM2458 inverter board (5 kW low-voltage, high-current inverter) using the STEVAL-CTM004V1 control board with SPC560P50L3 MCU. I am configuring the system in SPC5Studio, debugging with UDE STK, and using Motor Control Live Monitor for motor testing. The L6920DB temperature rating is not specified in the datasheet. However, it gives the temperature data as Max Tj=150C, Thermal resistance is 180C/W. Based on Tj=Ta+Pd*ThetaJa, if Ta=85C, then the Pd allowed in this temperature is very low. Is L6920DB rated temperature range specified as -45C to 85C?

Hello!I am attempting to charge a 3.7 V Li-ion battery using the SPV1050 on the STEVAL-ISV019V1 evaluation board, but there is a current coming from the battery into VBATT which ranges from 400 uA to 1 mA.The current remains even when no load is connected, and when a solar cell is connected to PV+. Additionally, the current remains when the battery is replaced with a 4 V voltage source in series with a 1 kOhm resistor.After reviewing the datasheet of the SPV1050 and the evaluation board, no components draw anywhere near this current so I suspect that my chip is damaged. However, the control logic and MPPT mechanism works perfectly fine so I am confused.I'd be very grateful if anyone could help!

Hello, I am trying to follow the Getting started with the STEVAL-WLC38RX document for FOD tuning attached. I am using STEVAL-WBC86TX, powered from a bench top PSU,  and STEVAL-WLC38RX, connected to an electronic load. Both are connected to the STMGUI. Following section 9.4 on page 60 of the above mentioned document. I have set all BPP FOD values to 0. When using the RX FOD tuning page, as per the document, the Prx value is being read correctly. However, the Ptx value is continuously reported as 1084. This value does not change despite and current draw increasing on the PSU.Why is it that the Ptx value is not changing?Kind regards,Lewis

I have some Pulse induction metal detector analog designs that I want to "digitalize" using a Stm32f407vet6 board. Unfortunately, these designs use the battery positive as ground. My intention is to power the Stm32 from the +5v rail of the detector power supply and then use logic in the Stm32 to generate the pulse timings and to read the preamp output with the ADC to check for metal detecting and eventually add some kind of discrimination logic.My problem is the detector design that uses VB+ as ground so how can I power the stm32 properly and also give the ADC correct vref ?I attached the pulse induction detector schematic I want to use as base and also the stm32f407vet6 schematic.Thanks for the help.

We are in need of an Isolated Flyback DC/DC Converter design to work with a 24 to 96V battery system. It is to be a 15-140V input to 12V output voltage and, 4-5A nominal 9A peak output current converter. We want to use the Würth transformer "749196547", for its ease on customization. Such as the option of paralleling all the secondary windings in order to reach the output current requirements.  We would appreciate any suggestions to help us best solve this design challenge. Such as the choice in using either a high voltage supply PWM controller or using one of the primary windings as auxiliary supply for the PWM controller. Notably, we tried finding a suitable design at Webench, but it proved hard since we do not want to use a custom transformer. The design could be made in a two-stage structure with the voltage range divided in two, if it turns out to be much more convenient that way. But our first choice is that it is done in one stage.  T
