Hello,I have designed the same schematics of the website : The output should be 18V and no significative current (1-5mA output because MCU off). I have tested the input voltage at [80 ; 200] V and I have the same problem. The chip try to start during 400ns and stop during 1sec.I can confirm there is no problem on the output because I have checked the output.The transformer is a wurth : 7508111324The transformer parameter is : The VCOM is always 3.3V during the start-up and it doesn't "move".The yellow is ILIM pin and blue is DRAIN : do you have any idea ?

Hi ST communityi just searched the setup of VN1048F then found out there are two evaluation board(EV-VN1048F and EVSPC582B).In this user manual of EV-VN1048F, it said this EV-SPC582B is supposed to be programed as described EV-SPC582B user manual. so i just moved to UM2897 but could not find any information of that programming.i noticed this programming is the key to setup the EV-VN1048F...Regards

I am trying to produce a triac power controller for a large mains solenoid which is for a lab demonstration of electromagnetic induction.  I have not had much success!My initial attempt used a simple 2-wire design as shown in figure 1 of ST's AN308 application note. I found often got power glitches supplied to the solenoid at power-on even with the power control pot turned down to minimum (maximum-resistance, well below the triac's normal triggering threshold). I believe this was due to the highly inductive nature of the solenoid. I also have a 100W mains bulb paralleled across the solenoid to confirm the presence of the glitches with a flash.My second attempt was to try the 3-wire circuit shown in figure 4 of AN308, which is recommended for inductive loads, where the triac is triggered by the main voltage rather than the voltage across the load (solenoid). The problem is the power/voltage delivery as a function of pot rotation is no longer smooth.  At a certain point there i

Hi everyone,  i am strugglig for a while trying to bring vn9e30f 24bit spi high side driver to life. Don't you know about any "sample" software which shows exact way how to change (for example on channel 0) duty cycle on given channel ? I tried almost anything. On O-scope with SPI decoding, everything looks fine(watchdog toggling, parity....) i guess, but i am still not getting any output. (i am using EV-VN9E30F evaluation board SDI connected to MOSI, SDO to MISO, providing PWM freq etc...)     I attached my sample code.   Thanks for your response.   Jan

HelloI want to use 3 x STSPIN220 for controlling 3 x stepper motors (motorized lens: Zoom, Iris, Focus). Currently to test lens I want with X-NUCLEO-IHM06A1 evaluation boards (with NUCLEO-F401RE). In stm32_nucleo_expansion_boards_motor_control_selection_guide.pdf mentioned that up to 2 x X-NUCLEO-IHM06A1 are stackable.It is not clear for me how I can do it and to control movement of at least 2 lens (of 3) separately? Thank you in advanceAlex

Dear Sir/Madam,we are designing a PFC input stage for a power converter.  High efficiency, low power loss, and low EMI (low dv/dt, low di/dt) are all important requirements.  We have identified a suitable power topology for this stage: Zero-Voltage-Transition (ZVT) boost, operating in CCM for most of the AC cycle for mid to high load power. This topology requires the following components:1. Two (2) controlled power switches: the main boost switch, and an auxiliary switch to control the current in the auxiliary path that sets up ZVT/ZCT for the main power switch (and the main power diode).2. Passive and non-controlled components for the auxiliary current path: inductors, capacitors, diodes.3. Hello,We want use sixpack SiC Power MOSFET module for drive a low power hi voltage motor.For safety reson I want measure the phase currents with 3 shunts connected beetween low side source and negative, instead one. With this package aren't avalable the power low side sources pin, but only signal low side sources (S2 pin 22, S4 pin 26 and S6 pin 30).Are there some issue, other than noise and voltage drop, like low section wire bonding, about use signal low side sources for connect the shunts leaving negative (pin 1-2) disconnected?Thancks   

Hi Community,I designed and developed a board for STUSB4500. I followed the schematic as mentioned in the STEVAL-ISC005V1 schematic diagrams, however I used only the main circuitry surrounding STUSB4500. There is no particular guidelines for layout, so I assume that is not the problem. Even in the main circuitry I only used only one output and not connected PowerOK2 and PowerOK3 pins rather given only test points just in case. I have attached the schematic for your reference. NOR Gate, BMS Shutdown switch, Button Operation LDO and Timer components can be ignored as there is no interconnection between PD controller and these components.When i'm connecting type C input, the VBUS_VS_DISCH pin is reading 5V and the gate pin of Power MosFETs are at 0.6V and i'm not getting output. The voltage reading at VBUS is 5V. Also in the STEVAL-ISC005V1 schematic, the VSYS pin is connected to 3V3 of Voltage regulator. So I have added an LDO in schematic but haven't soldered it in PCB. I am using STWBC2-HP and STWLC99 for development. The output voltage at the receiver end is set to 10V, and the current limit at the transmitter end is set to 5A. However, the actual current at the transmitter end can only reach a maximum of 0.8A, and I do not know why.

Hi.My project adopts stef01 chip  for LED driver,I am meeting an odd phenomenon without thermal protection/overcurrent protection(I think),EN/Fault pin sometime is 1.4V,sometime it works well.It can be recurred when i rest the en/fault pin(efuse_rst=L) with normal temperature---28.5 degree(can i regard it as no thermal protection?) as one of two timing:1) Time1  --- a short period of time2) Time2  --- time of duration until reset en/fault pinIt's not always like this.My question:What can cause the problem?Thank you,Ricky

Hello. I am reading the specification for L99DZ70XP and have some doubts about figure 3 in Section 2.4.1: There are two comparators in the figure used to monitor whether the ECV status is not reached/too high and input the comparison result into the register. I want to know if the registers controlled by these two comparators are bits 0 and 1 in table31 of Section 5.7: ECV voltage too high and ECV voltage not reached? Furthermore, whether the thresholds of the two comparators for determining the ECV voltage are given by programming as described in table31? If the threshold is determined by programming, could you provide or inform us where to download the software routine for reference? If my understanding is wrong, please point out my mistake. I having issue addressing L9963E when the device is already awake. Currently my team is working on developing a BMS using two L9963E in a daisy chain configuration. In some instances, we may have to reset our micro controller(eg: Soft Reset, WDT reset). During that period L9963E will already be initialized and awake (Comm timeout is set to 2s). After the soft reset on the micro controller, the program tries to initialize L9963E by first reading DEV_GEN_CFG. I expected that if L9963E already initialized it should give me correct config in DEV_GEN_CFG but all i got is 0xFFFFFFFFFF from both L9963E. Since it isn't the correct config, the program will send the boardcast cmd with the correct chip id and all as mentioned in the datasheet. Then again it will read DEV_GEN_CFG register and again it receives 0xFFFFFFFFFF. The program will tries to initialize L9963E for 3 times if it fail an error is send.Also even though initialization failed in this case, I could read all cell voltages, tempera

 Hello, I'm trying to set UV OV value of my L9963E. I'm aware that writing "threshVcellOV" and "threshVcellUV" fields in "VCELL_THRESH_UV_OV" register to do that. However, there is no information about which bit values corresponding voltage values. At least I couldn't see.The table 39 just shows the max min voltage values of it.  Thanks advance!

Hi All,I have developed my own Evalboard for the STWBC2-HP based on the STEVAL-WBC2TX50. Now i have flashed the stdes-50w2cwbc_FW_v1.0.0.0.hex firmware to the board and the Software shows the following. The power transfer does not work. Do you have any suggestions why that is so? Thank You  

We were designing 24v 1.5 Amp smps using l6562 referring application note AN1059 fig 16. getting the 24 output but fluctuating when load is connected and without load power factor is 1.00 and with load it drops down to 0.2 PF and which configuration is the suitable for my application among those three which I have attached ?also design calculation is attached is anything we're missing ?

Hello!Our company is looking for an ultra-low power solar charging MPPT chip solution. Please recommend some suitable chip models, along with specifications, reference design diagrams, etc.1. The open-circuit voltage of the solar panel is 6V, and the short-circuit current is 12.9mA.2. The charging battery in the subsequent stage is a 4.2V cutoff charging voltage.3. The MPPT needs to supply power to both the battery and the subsequent load. The load voltage is approximately 3V, which means the MPPT must provide a voltage that is adjustable and can be stepped down, and it would be best if it could be separated from the battery charging voltage.4. Hello,We use the two products together for a Qi Transmitter (SWTBC86) and Qi Receiver (STWLC38) solution for a single product and it's accompanying charger board. The eval kits of both boards perform much better than our production design, particularly our TX board, and we're wondering why that is the case.Our designs were based off of the reference schematic of both ST products. The coils are the same.Some remarks:1) The transmitter overheats to > 100C in about 15 minutes2) Efficiency nears 45% even at a nominal distance of 2.5mm3) We send about 5.5W across the link and receive 2.1W (desired receive)4) Operational TX voltage is 12v (to try and meet our distance requirement - up to 6mm). Receive voltage is set to 5.0v, that goes into a 3.8v nominal (4.35v charged) li-ion battery charger5) Stock firmware for bothBecause this is for a consumer wearable, the efficiency needs to be better than a run of the mill desktop charger.
