STWBC2-HP and STWLC99: output only reaches 0.8A - expecting 5A

I am using STWBC2-HP and STWLC99 for development. The output voltage at the receiver end is set to 10V, and the current limit at the transmitter end is set to 5A. However, the actual current at the transmitter end can only reach a maximum of 0.8A, and I do not know why.

Hello,

ST has decided to limit its offer in terms of power (30W) and in terms of portfolio.

We focus now on 4 products : the STWBC86 (up to 5W) + the STWBC2-HP (up to >30W) for Transmitter side and the STWLC38 (up to 15W) + the STWLC89 (up to 20W, Qi 2.0 MPP) for Rx.

Unfortunately, the STWLC99 has been stopped.

Although your STWLC99 has been discontinued, I have already purchased ST's products, and I should receive the support I am entitled to. The issue I am facing now is that the output current of the STWBC20-HP can only reach 0.8A. I need to resolve the problem on the transmitter side, not the STWLC99.

I purchased the development boards and chips from your distributor. If you need it, I can provide you with the order.

No, I do not have access to the distributors orders list.

You may ask your distributor to open a case for you, and your distributor may add your email address in the case so that I can contact you directly.

Your case is opened in ST database, so a colleague of mine should take your point (you have nothing else to do).

By the way, you can start checking the STWBC2-HP input power supply (STWBC2-HP eval kit is supposed to be supplied by a USB-C charger): if you set the Rx Vout to 10V, the STWBC2-HP should adapt its input voltage to higher voltage (9V or 12V most probably). This input voltage is displayed by the GUI.
