Power management

 Hello, I am using the integrated circuit mentioned in the title, and I want to set it to debug mode (referred to as flash mode), but there is something called Vflash mentioned. I don’t understand what it means, and there is no explanation provided anywhere. Is Vflash equal to Vs? Is Vflash equal to V1? What exactly is Vflash?My second question is, what exactly are the requirements I need to fulfill to put it into Flash mode?

Hi,  I am currently working with the VN9D5D20FN and RL78, successfully controlling 4 channels at a 100% duty cycle, achieving a 12V output. Now trying to read the current sense value for Channel 1 with OUTCFGR1 configured to 0x9FE0 and a rheostat load applied. I've readed the ADC values from the ADC1SR register and measured current consumption with a clamp meter.   Could you please assist me with the following: How should I calculate the current value from the ADC1SR? What is the K value in the Iout_conv formula for each channel? Here are the ADC readings I have: ADC1SR = 0x0019 --> Current Value = ? ADC1SR = 0x001B --> Current Value = ? Hi,I'm debugging a board with two STMP34 used to read voltage and current from L1 - L2 and L3 of a threephase system. The current signals comes from three different TA devices.The issue is: sometimes, reading a block of registers using the Metro_HAL_Stpm_Read function, I have strange values of these, below you can find some screenshots of IAR debugger and some others coming from Saleae used to capture these weird values.This phenomenon happens only in some boards, even if the hardware seems to be OK.Here you can see the function I use to read the STPM34 device...Here you can see the weird values I have reading it....Here a series of screenshots coming from the Saleae attached on SCS, SYN , EN and SPI signals of the second STPM34 (used to read L2 and L3 phases).....And here some screenshots of the schematic....Thanks in advance for your support.RegardsStefano

I'm getting a STEVAL-WLC99RX and STEVAL-WBCTX70 configured for some testing and put the WLC99RX in DC mode (5V ono Vout). I cannot figure out how to get it back into Rx mode.It feels a little bit like a chicken and egg situation. I need to be in DC mode to connect and configure right now, but I can't be in DC mode if I want to use WPT.Help me @willzhou Cheers,matt

I had previously asked in case # 00204067, if the subject part STGF15H60DF was UL approved for isolation and I was told that is was approved under UL catigory QQQX2.E81734 per the requirements of UL 1557. I was linked to UL File # E81734 with a highlighted section for this part as follows:Power Switching Semi-Conductor, "TO-220FP", Model(s): STG followed by F, followed by one or two digits, followed by a letter, followed by one or two digits, may be followed by a letter, followed by two letters, followed by two letters, followed by an alphanumeric digit. I submitted this to the UL investigating Eng and he said it looked good. However after our new VDF controller was submitted for final review/approval, the Eng doing the final product testing has now said the IGBT part number STGF15H60DF does not match the part number requirements called out for the STGF Model parts. I found an aplication (ST Design Tip - DT0001), that suggests a way of controlling motor speed, using a PWM signal on the DIR input.  Works fine for speed.  Note: we are not using a micro as shown in the DT90001. We are using our design.  And using PWM to drive DIR, for speed control.  Our PWM frequency is between 1K-5K. We were expecting to get the correct speed control, while maintaining the same torque we have for FWD/REV directions. But we get a drastic loss of torque.Let me say too, that in the forward direction, we can meet our torque requirements.  In the reverse direction we can meet our torque requirements.  But with PWM signal connected, to the DIR, we can't meet our torque requirements. I'm thinking this is because we are reversing the current through the motor and what we wind up with is correct speed, but this reversing of current, gives us an average current, and therefore an average torque, which is quite less than what we need. Hello, I am trying out a 220 V power measurement set up with 3 STPM34 evaluation boards. I need to use as less wires as possible, so I am using SPI with 3 different CS and 1 SYN pin. I am also trying to reduce component count by using only 1 CLK source on one of the boards and providing clocking for other boards via CLKOUT like this diagram from datasheet:I desoldered oscillators, capacitors and resistors on two eval boards and using simple wires I connected CLKs together. I also used ST provided fw for this eval board. The problem is that boards work very unstable with this kind of clocking provided. Sometimes readings are ok, but there is 1 or 2 samples that are completely off (Instead of 7.XX that I should get , I get 0 or something like 1100.XX and so on) , also sometimes one board just doesn't work and I get all 0xFF when reading data registers. Hi, I'm designing a DIY switching power supply around the L6902. Intended output voltage is <22V, input voltage 24V, output current in constant current mode between 0.6 and 0.8A.My questions:the datasheet shows an inductor value of 22uH, is this value independent of output voltage and current? Currently I chose the part SRU1048-220Y, datasheet: https://www.mouser.de/datasheet/2/54/SRU1048-1391431.pdfIs the compensation network also independent of output voltage and current?For neither of the parts I found any further hints in the datasheet, so I thought I'd better ask...Thanks very much in advance for your help!

Is it possible to use a Qi2 rx coil with magnetic array on a stwlc38 design? The goal is to use a Qi2 charger and reap the benefits of magnetic alignment and 15W charging while still being on the Qi1.3 standard of the stwlc38.

Hi, I am currently working on a project that uses a BLDC motor (42BL90L2-3), and I am trying to drive it using a DRV8323 gate driver. I have been using the ST MC workbench (version 5.4.8) to profile the motor and control unit, but when I try to generate the project I get a whole bunch of errors stating "PDSC version is not supported". The project still generates, but after importing it to CubeIDE it will always HardFault when I try to debug, it never makes it to the while() loop. I am using CubeMX version 6.2.1 and STM32 FW V1.8.4. Has anyone else ever encountered this issue?

Hello,I use the Viper06LS in the Buck Converter topology.The input voltage can vary between 100V and 530VDC. The output voltage is regulated to 10 V. (See "Viper_circuit"!)Unfortunately, a problem arises when the input voltage increases to approx. 520 V.The Viper06LS stops regulating the output voltage. The output voltage drops and the Viper restarts.To check whether the Viper switches off due to an overcurrent, I looked at the choke current at the output.However, the choke current does not exceed the shutdown current at this moment and the choke does not saturate. (See oscilloscope recording "Inductor_Current", blue = Drain-Source-Voltage, green = inductors current)If I install the Viper06HS (f_osc = 115 kHz) in the same layout, the controller works without failures up to more than 570 VDC input voltage.Now the questions:Are there any experiences with this behavior?What can cause this behavior?Why does the Viper06HS with the clock frequency of 115 kHz work and the Viper06LS with 60 kH

Hi all,We're using the STC3115 for a single-cell lithium battery, the main goal is to provide a SoC that gives the user a feeling about remaining battery life.This is working quite well when we're draining the battery completely, even in very different current consumption scenarios, the SoC goes down gradually as expected matching power consumption expectations. However when we're charging the application the SoC reaches 99-100% at about 80% of the capacity of the battery, sometimes even a lot sooner.When the application is removed from the charger this causes quite a lot of issues, since the SoC can be quite high due to RAM Restoration, showing a too high number to the user, which finds it annoying to see the application turn off at (for example) a displayed 60%.  Application details:End-of-application / shutdown voltage: 3550mVOCV curve: adapted to datasheet of battery manufacturer and checked with own measurements.Impedance: should be around 200 mOhm, 400 mOhm was als

Hi, i design a SPMS with VIPER013HS and in the design schematic, i dont know the purpose of the capacitor in attached picture. Also in design, there is no capacitor value mentioned for this capacitor.

Hi I want to use a L6235 to control a BLDC motor, but do not have a micro to control the loop.  Micro not an option. The are two options I have is to use an integrator as per datasheet or use app note DT0001 mention using the Tacho output and the FWD/REV. The worry I have is the changing direction and braking will cause overheating and back power. The brake will be static, will the L6235 cope or do I need to add extra chopper circuit to deal with this? which way would be best? my system has two hall sensors at each end for end detects. There is no rotation senor at present, but would a rotation with a PWM a good idea and control the fwd/rew as in DT0001? cheers

Hello,I am planning to use the VNF1048F as a eFuse for my current project.From the datasheet it is not clear to me which is the behavior of the VNF1048F in case of reverse current.Does it automatically close the MOSFETs (to avoid diode conduction), does it open the MOSFETs (letting the diode conduct) or is the gate status controllable as in forward current condition?Thank you in advance,Luca Favario

There is confusion about resistor values on input voltage divider.According to datasheet voltage on MPP pin should be lower than 2.1 V (Vuvp - 0.1V)In application note AN4397 you used UVP set by resistors R4, R5, R6? Which value should be used?

Hi Team, We are using this STP24DP05 (24-bit constant current LED sink driver with output error detection) IC for a X*Y array of diodes to get high or low. The IC is interfaced with microcontroller using SDI pin of STP24DP05. We have some doubts kindly check- 1. How will the serial pin data transfers to  outputs R/G/B pin? does R1 , G1 & B1 gets data first then it goes to next R2,G2,B2? or it will first give data to R1-R8 then to next 8 bits goes to G1-G8 like that.  2. Is LE/DM pin working as reset to all the pins? does the outputs of STP24DP05 gets refreshed when LE/DM is pulled down? 3. Can we keep OE pins as grounded ?   

Hi Everyone,    I'm working on VNF9Q20F and VNF9D5F , I have an issue where I can’t control OUT (ON/OFF) BY SPI or by DIO .    Once the VNF is in normal mode. Below are the commands which are I ‘m sending:  0x0h: 0x0 0x00 0x3F 0xF1, 0x03h: 0x0 0x03 0x3F 0xF1, 0x13:  0x0 0x13 0x0F 0x00, 0x0B: 0x0 0x0B 0x1F 0xF4, 0x08h: 0x0 0x08 0x1F 0xF4, DIO: 0, DIO 1.    Even after sending the above commands, out control is not possible.
