The "AN5276" application note says we should measure the antenna at 1MHz.I don't understand why we couldn't measure it directly at 13.56MHz.

Hello,I'm new to RFID and I have troubles with the RATS command of the ISO-14443 standard. I am currently working with a CR95HF (reader) and a ST25TA02KB-D (tag). The uC driving the reader is an Arduino UNO, this part is working fine so far.My issue is that I can't manage to have an answer from the tag when sending the RATS command. After writing a NDEF message to the M24SR02-Y NFC Tag the Chip doesn't work anymore. If I scan it with a NFC app I can see that under technologies NDEF isn't listed anymore. Before the writing process it was listed. Does anybody know a reason for this?

Hello everyone,I am trying to communicate with ST25R3920 using S32K116 host MCU. I managed to read some data but they seem meaningless according the datasheet. For example: I was trying to read IC identity register(3Fh) to test that if I am able to communicate with the device. When I send 3Fh with 01 prefix for read operation, I read 15h(00010101b) on second byte of buffer. That made me thought maybe I am losing bits during communication because I should read 2Ah(00101010) but then I realized when I to read different registers I get the same 15h value on different byte( like 3rd or 6th byte of receive buffer) and this value is meaningless for that registers.I tried to configure default options and run the power-up sequence properly but I don't even know if they are executed in right way. I am tagging a snippet that I use to send data to ST25R3920.So, I was not able to detect the problem causing this issue. What are the options I could try and what could be the issue? I'd appreciate any

Hi,We are testing the M24LR04E-R with NDEF messages and find the speed very slow.We are currently using Android, but we see the same behaviour with iOS.If we write 400 bytes of data as TEXT tag. With this simple code:NdefRecord mRecord = NdefRecord.createTextRecord("en", text);NdefMessage mMsg = new NdefMessage(mRecord);ndefTag.writeNdefMessage(mMsg);Reading the 400 bytes of payload data as NDEF record takes approximately 1.3 second. Thats a throughput of 307 bytes/second. We use native Android code, similar to the write code.I can see there is data rate low and high - anyone knows how i can choose to use data rate high with standard Android java code?Or other suggestions to lower the rate? If we could just move 400 bytes in 4-500 ms. it would be acceptable.Regards Jens

Which one is the smallest NFC tag that can be identified by an iPhone?

While trying to read gen2 tags with the ST25RU3993 reader. Reading address 0x02 in the EPC memory bank seem to work, but word addresses beyond 0x7F in the User bank give me an error (ERR_RXCOUNT). I know that the memory is accessible with another reader in my lab, so it should work with this reader. The tag is based on the EM4325 chip and I'm trying to access system memory located at 0xEC and beyond, the datasheet says these pages have no read protection.

While doing an FTM transmission from RF to I2C and reading the MB_LEN_Dyn register, it will always report a length which is 6 bytes more (or 7 after the increase by one in my code) than the actual message length. I am looking to use the code provided (X-CUBE-NFC6) with modifications to have the ST25R3916(lock) and M24SR64(key) to act as a lock and key. I am able to read, format, and write to the tag using the provided program. How would I be able to make each individual tag only work with each individual reader to act as a lock and key?Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I am using ST25R3916 Discovery board to tag testing purpose and I am using ST25PC-NFC feature of discovery GUI. Even though I am able to start USB mode on Discovery board ( I can see that display on discovery board shows USB mode enabled ) but GUI does not detect the device. If i try to update the firmware it shows DFU driver issue. How can I solve this issue?

What are the best chip/settings to read multiple RFID 14334A tags? What should I look at when selecting chip?I need to create a reader that needs to read playing cards (14334A) from the table.Currently, I have a setup with AS3910 chip. It works fine while 1-2 cards go through its field simultaneously. 1) First issueIf I stack one card on another it can read only up to 2 cards like that. When I stack 3 cards it can't.2) Second issueIf cards (2-16) are in its field from the start it usually then can read just one card and sometimes more. (No idea why. Even if I leave the cards in the same place)So I wonder what is responsible for these limitations?
