STM32 MCUs Boards and hardware tools

I have tried to route the LSI clock to PA2 pin in my Nucleo Board G474RE without success. SB13 & SB17 are open (it means ST Link is not connected to PA2 pin). Configuration was carried out with STMCube32 Mx but I don´t obtain the CLK in PA2. I have checked also the LSCOSEL and LSCOEN bits and are correct configured.My dudes are: 1) Muss RTC be activated to obtain the desired behaviour? My suposition is NO, because when I route the LSI to MCO pin (PA8) it works fine.2) did I forget to modify something else in Nucleo Board G474RE?Thanks in advance!   

Hi GuysI am doing a project and I notice that if I unplug the UART cable(FTDI) and then connect it again, there is a chance that there would be mysterious bytes received from RDR. What is more interesting is that the mysterious bytes are actually the messages that was sent out to UART Tx. During the testing, I am not using any UART serial monitoring tool like Putty or what's so ever, so there should not be any inputs to the UART Rx.  But it just happened, not often, but if I repeat disconnect and reconnect dozens of times, then something from UART Tx got into the UART Rx buffer. I have confirmed that those mysterious bytes are read out from RDR. Has any one know what's happening ?  Thanks.

I have an X-NUCLEO-67W61M1 board for transmitting data over Wi-Fi, but I have no idea how to configure it. Hello world :)I found STLINK-V3MODS extremely useful for automation testing (NuttX RTOS). I have ~50 different boards, some of them does not have on-board flashing capability, thus either JTAG/SWD or UART needs to be used.Most of the boards that use UART based BootROM need external Reset and Boot pins control. These are achieved by RTS and DTR output lines of USB-to-UART converters (i.e. CP2101, PL2303, FTDIx232, CH3xx, etc).I discovered that STLINK-V3MODS can have second UART port enabled by flashing firmware and selecting proper configuration. Both UARTs show up as separate serial port devices (i.e. /dev/cuaU0 and /dev/cuaU1 on FreeBSD). That gives two UARTS + JTAG/SWD over single USB connection, potentially serving 3 different boards under test. But VCP has no control lines, and Bridge UART has RTS/CTS (output/input) not RTS/DTR (output/output). That decreases possible use cases from 3 to 1 (SWD+VCP to automate testing of single board).My question is would it be possible to add new

My HSE is 25MHz and PLLP output must be >= 24MHz, so I can't try HSE 16MHz.

Hello,I have a Stm32h735g-dk card. I did some work and then the connection was broken. I don't know exactly why it happened later, but I didn't play with the pins, I just threw code with stlink via jumpers and stm32cube ide. Now every time I want to run or debug or connect with stm32programmer, I get a stm32 target not found warning. Currently JP1 is plugged in and stlink is plugged in in the J7 power selection, there is nothing else plugged in. When I connect with STM32CubeProgrammer, the target voltage appears zero, I tried to proceed from here. However, I was not successful. Let me give you the details I saw. When I connect the board from the stlink section with microusb, the power led flashes twice and then stays lit in green. The red led lights up as it is. The white light on the screen flashes in the same way as the led. Also, as you can see in the photo below, it opens with a FAIL.TXT file. when I deleted it, it did not get better. the message written in the file is as follows;T

Hi,I am currently making a custom pcb that includes an stlink-v3mods in order to program two stm32's.I am encountering a problem in which the stlink keeps failing and drawing a large amount of current. I am struggling to understand why this could be?The stlink is powered through its usb port and a switch is used to swap the clock line between the two mcus in order to select which one to program. Both stm32s are on a separate pcb which can be plugged and unplugged from the main pcb (which contains the stlink).I have attached my schematic regarding the stlink.Any insight into this would be greatly appreciated,Thanks.

Hi!TLDR; Mass Storage on STLINK on NUCLEO-C071RB isn't enabled by default. You need to use STLinkUpgrade to change Type to STM32 Debug+Mass Storage+VCPI've got a new NUCLEO-C071RB for test purpose, to evaluate that it's ready to be programmed in my build environment. I quickly wanted to test it in the Arduino IDE with stm32duino board files. For simplicity I choose the upload method Mass Storage. I sat up the typical udev rules manually and added my user to dialout group, and restarted Ubuntu. After this, I still struggled to program the NUCLEO-C071RB board with Arduino IDE using the Mass Storage upload method.That's when I had the idea to bring out a previous board I have laying around, NUCLEO-F401RE. Quickly after, this one was confirmed to work. At this moment i realized that NOD_F401RE was visible as an external storage on Ubuntu, while NOD_C071RB was not. Which confirmed that Mass Storage wasn't working on the NUCLEO-C071RB.Update: I tried to see if there was any firmware updates

Hello, Currently we are using STM32G4A1VET6 MCU in our board and we dont have any high speed application in the board, suppose i dont want to use any crystal/oscillator on these pins, then how these pins should be taken care in our schematic, I checked in the documents regarding thsi but it is not mentioned what to do with these pins if we dont connect any crystal/oscillator how can we terminate or can we use it as GPIO, could you please provide the supporting documents for these?

whether stm32 can be supplied with 5V or 3.3V only.

I am currently using multiple STM32U5 series and STM32L4 series MCUs in a single system.I would like to share a single physical programming port (e.g., SWD or UART) among these MCUs and switch between them to program each one individually.I have already confirmed that ST-LINK cannot program multiple MCUs simultaneously.Based on this premise, is it possible to share a programming port between multiple MCUs and still program them individually?If it is possible, could you please advise on the method?Thank you in advance for your support.

Hi I don’t know the reason, but my board’s ld2 and ld8 leds are blinking, and the program says  No STLink detection, even if I connect it to the usb port, what can be its reason? How can I fix it?

Hi, I tried to connect my board to my computer trought USB but I can't recognize the board, it doesn't appear, I can't use the Programmer either. I downloaded different drivers, I used different cables but it doesn't work. What can I do? The BLE connection worked, I could get some data from a SD Card, but I want to use in a continuous measure.

My board is the NUCLEO-H743ZI2, I've looked in the manual but haven't found anything so far. Maybe I could remove jumper JP2 so the Nucleo's MCU stays powered down and then connect the CN2 connector (SWD) to the external MCU?Thanks!

Hello,In my project using the STM32H755 Nucleo development board, I need to use PA11, PC14, and PC15 pins as GPIO Output to drive relays. However, when I checked with a digital multimeter, I found that these pins cannot be driven to logic HIGH — they remain stuck at logic LOW. Hardware/Software details:MCU: STM32H755 (Nucleo-144 board)IDE/SDK: STM32CubeIDE Project constraint: Almost all pins are already in use, so I have very limited flexibility in choosing alternate pins. After reviewing the technical documentation and the board schematic, I noticed that these pins might be connected to other functions or components. Hello, I've been trying everything for days to fix this error. They said to set the BOOT0 pin to GND. I followed these steps. I tried many solutions from YouTube videos and the STM32 website, as well as solutions from forums, but none of them worked. Here's the LED behavior that I have implemented:LED1 (PB0) is assigned to M4.LED2 (PE1) and LED3 (PB14) are assigned to M7.When M7 sends a message to M4, M4 replies, and LED1 turns ON.If M7 receives the expected message, LED2 turns ON; otherwise, LED3 should turn ON.The issue:Everything seems to work fine when LED2 is assigned to M7 (PE1), as it turns ON as expected.
