We have custom board design based on stm32157C-DK2. We just ise other LCD panel. We have updated device tree and probe function of panel is called. But in method: ltdc_load it fails to find any panel.bridge when calling: drm_of_find_panel_or_bridge (return -517 EPROBE_DEFFER)Is there something else to check if we want to use other panel please? Hello All,We have the STM32MP1xxx-DK. and we had build the image for this board using the steps mentioned on ST wiki to generate the distribution image.We had build st-image-core as its size is less then Weston image.We want not to enable the SPI-5 so that we can done some testing on SPI.Can you please guide us where we need to do changes to enable the spi.We are new in Linux. I'm trying the tutorial on UART (https://wiki.st.com/stm32mcu/wiki/STM32StepByStep:Step3_Introduction_to_the_UART) with an STM32MP157F-DK2 board.I tried defining the USART2 GPIOs with CubeMX as found in the reference document UM2637: DP5 - TX, PD6 - RX (I even tried alternate ports such as PA2, PA3). The generated code compiles well. I then open a Putty connexion on COM19 (the ST Link port) with the required settings, but nothing is printed when I launch the debug.What am I doing wrong?

Hello Newbie question here, so i was working for with the stm32mp157 for quite a while now .the boot process for me was flashing an SD Card or a USB stick and boot the thing up. How ever i was wondering if there is a method to load openstlinux or just u-boot into RAM and Un-mount the disk or something and the Linux will keep working like with Ubuntu (Boot to Ram) ? if so how to do it ? Hello sir I am using stm32MP157 with ICS-43434 sensor via the I2S interface   I am following "https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/I2S_Linux_driver" link to enable the I2S driver in my "make menuconfig" the "STM32 I2S interface (SPI/I2S block) support" option not found. I need some suggestions for how can i configure the I2S of STM32MP1 and how can i configure STM32MP157 with ICS-43434.

Hello everyone,I am trying to replicate this approach to integrate STM32MP1 with an external audio codec. The issue I am facing is that the sub-block SAI-A is generating the bitclock (SCK), while I need it to receive it from the external audio codec. I am sniffing the I2S bus and whenever the audio is played, I can see the SCK being generated by SAI-A.Could you please provide details on how to set the SAI in slave mode, so that the SCK is not generated? Hi,Because dotnet core supports ARMv7, but it doesn't say much clear about ARMv7M. So, I tried to port uCLinux from STM32F7 on my custom STM32H7 board. The OS boots fine but when I ran "dotnet --version", response is "sh: ./dotnet: No such file or directory".I run directly from the folder that contain dotnet SDK so no PATH needed, and the execute file "dotnet" is exist, with execution mode as well.Seems dotnet is not happy with ARMv7M which is not surprised us. But if anyone is already success, or any suggestion are welcome.

I have several questions first one is what is the max clock for I2C, minimum is pointed at this sheet but what is the max?Again for the same sheet for the LCD-TFT controller, I will be using 1.8V LVDS display so fclk frequency will be 45 MHz max right? If so would be the affect for the display having 45 MHz instead of 90 MHz?For SAI and SPI conditions are between 1.71<Vdd<3.6 and 2.7<Vdd<3.6 so shouldn't it the first one should be 1.71<Vdd<2.7 ? What happens if Vdd=1.8V?For USART max frequency is 27 MHz on the sheet, however for the stm32mp157a-ev1 board it is 60 MHz default. Does not it cause problem?Thank you in advance.

I am asking this question after using the the Developer package of the STM32 Echosystem in orfer to recompile the kernel drivers of the ADC to activate the ADC, how ever i can't figure out how to modify the device tree. i was trying to get this example "3.3 How to perform multiple ADC conversions in triggered buffer mode using libiio" provided by st to work (https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_use_the_IIO_user_space_interface) how ever when i reach this example to test it doesn't work since i don't have the trigger0 showing up after using the iio_info command$ iio_readdev -t trigger0 -s 8 -b 8 iio:device0 voltage0 voltage1 | hexdumpin that case my question is how to get this example working by changing the device tree and the developement echosystem's method ? this is my device tree configuration &adc { vdd-supply = <&vdd>; vdda-supply = <&vdda>; vref-supply = <&vdda>; status = "okay"; adc1: adc@0 { st,min-sample-time-nsecs = <5000>;

Actually, we are trying to reset the MAC registers by using DMA mode register (bit 0) in Ethernet section.As per reference manual, we are set the bit(swr bit) to 1 in ETH_DMAMR_REG register. but it is not reset automatically. I cannot get the QSPI NOR-Flash to work on my custom board using an STM32MP153CA + Adesto AT25SF128 NOR flash in U-BOOT. Hi,my system working fine from EMMC(written through cube programmer). I also have on my board an SD-Card slot and boot configuration pins. Is it possible to upgrade the system through SD-Card to EMMC via dd if=... from rootfs?How to prepare EMMC....raw file, is it possible?I try to write sd_card.....raw file using dd application to EMMC, but the system can't start. After powering on, nothing is shown on uart debug log (boot pins changes, of course).Thanks in advancedBR Michal

I've just made the switch for V4.0.0 (A-TF 2.6, Linux 5.15 but with Barebox instead of U-Boot) using Buildroot as before.I had trouble to bring the system up because of what has been changed in regard to SCMI.The DT node's compatible name was changed to force OP-TEE, which is a no go in my case for now.I'll just leave the solution here in case anyone faces the same issue.Simply override the scmi node with the old values:&scmi { // Revert OP-TEE to SP_MIN // Previously compatible = "linaro,scmi-optee"; compatible = "arm,scmi-smc"; arm,smc-id = <0x82002000>; };This will allow you to boot without any changes compared to V3.

Hello,actually, our processor STM32MP153 (dual core) is completely full with the "normal" memory regions regarding the MCUs (M4) code and data. So now, we decided to add the RETRAM_data form ORIGIN = 0x00001000, LENGTH = 0x0000F000 /*60k*/The linker works as expected but if I start a DMA transfer with variables placed inside this area, the DMA stucks directly with a transfer error. The same code but placed in the RAM1_dataORIGIN = 0x10030000, LENGTH = 0x00010000 /* 64K*/works fine.I know this problem only if the area is not accessible by the DMA as on the H7 but if I have a look at the memory layout and master/slave bus matrix, both DMA should be able to send data from the RetRAM.Any ideas what could lead to this problem? I checked also to place the segment at 0x38000000 but this leads to a linux boot stuck.My actual workaround is to place variables not used by the DMA into the RetRAM section .bss1 with the __attribute__((section (".bss1")))command. This works but, this is my next smal

In stm32mp157c-ed1.dts, the MPU pin setting is written in the stm32mp15-pinctrl.dtsi file, but in CubeMX, a node called @pinctrl is created in the generated .dts file and written in it.Why?Can I delete this part and create a ***.pinctrl.dtsi file?

Our hardware has an STM32MP151DAx.In order to make use of the Cube Programmer and the boot-via-USB method I need the equivalent of the tf-a-stm32mp157d-ev1-usb.stm32 file but for our hardware.I have worked through the IOC stuff, have DTS files and got the hang of building TF-A (and U-Boot and Linux) according to instructions but how do I build this -USB variant as used in the .TSV files ?Jon

Hi,me and my team are working on a project on STM32MP1-DK2. While everything is working fine on the previous ecosystrem release (v3.1.0),after updating to the latest release v4.0.0, our demo stop to work, even after recompiling.This is caused by the following code:wl_display * display = wl_display_connect(NULL); if (display == NULL) { std::cout << "can't connect to wayland display" << std::endl; return false; }wl_display_connect keeps returning null and thus I cannot get the current Wayland display.What's more interesting is that even the built-in "weston-info" tool has the same issue and in fact it doesnt work.Can anyone help?Thank you

We are having issues getting USB to work as both ethernet and gadget serial.In kernel configuration, We have the CONFIG_USB_ETH configured as inbuilt and CONFIG_USB_G_SERIAL as inbuilt as shown below. ## USB Gadget precomposed configurations#CONFIG_USB_ETH=yCONFIG_USB_ETH_RNDIS=yCONFIG_USB_G_SERIAL=y# end of USB Gadget precomposed configurationsInitially we do not see the dev/ttyGS0 appearing, however when we do ifconfig -a we see usb0 appear. Now we run the stm32_usbotg_eth_config.sh script which assigned it an IP address and we are able to ssh into the target device. The script also bring up /dev/ttyGS0. The windows PC shows the VCOM port enumerated, but when the PC application tries to open the COM port it throws up "A device attached to the system is not functioning. Operating system error code 31".Also when we disconnect the USB cable and connect it back the windows cannot recognize it and the console in target logs the following statement"[ 6858.235935] dwc2 49000000.us
