I am using STVD IDE to write code for STM8 the compiler I am using is Cosmic STM8 C compiler and the standard peripheral library provided for STM8. The problem I have is while evaluating and if statement for and input pin, if the condition is "== 0" or "== RESET" like the below code the code behaves properly, and the condition is evaluated successfully.```if(GPIO_ReadInputPin(GPIOC,GPIO_PIN_2) == RESET)if(GPIO_ReadInputPin(GPIOC,GPIO_PIN_2) == 0)```But when evaluation the if statement with "== 1" or "== SET" as shown below the condition is never met despite measuring high (3.3V) on the actual input itself```if(GPIO_ReadInputPin(GPIOC,GPIO_PIN_2) == SET)if(GPIO_ReadInputPin(GPIOC,GPIO_PIN_2) == 1)```I managed to make a workaround that by making the condition "!= 0" or "!= RESET" as shown below it is evaluated successfully and the code behaves properly, but I don't really understand why it works with "!= 0" or "!= and not wit

Hello STM community.I have in my possesion an ST microcontroller with the following information printed on it:72F521AR5T99021 V5  MYS 99 and 3 other digits in the end which I am not able to figure them out. I understand that this must be a very old cpu but I felt the need to ask if there is any way to program it. Specifically, I have an old PCB (Runner Version 9.08.9 HAB - incorporates an alarm system) and I would like to play with it. I tried finding it online, but there isn't anything helpful on the internet.  If anybody has faced these series of CPUs or has any idea on the above matter would be appreciated.Thanks in advance.                                             &

Hello to all!I'm a bit new to STM8 programming. I'm my current project using the STM8L052 board, my plan is to use a input of how many times the user press a button to activate or deactive a function. For example, if the user press the button 5 times during the initialization process of the board, the function is activated. In the next initialization, the function must be active as well. However, if the user press the button 5 times again during another initialization, the function must be deactivated. My logic is as follows: >> Initialization      - func (check flash memory) -> check if the memory location has the value (X var) to activate the desired A function      - func (check if the button was pressed 5 times) -> if the user press the button 5 times, changes the value of the memory location which holds X var value. If not pressed, the value stays the same (A function status does not change)

HI Guys, now I use STM8S103F2 series MCU develop, find there was some issue that can not solve, but i checked that bool types constant has no problem, so do you have same issue? thanks!

HelloWhat clock frequency and timing scheme is used for Nucleo-8S208RB default? In what documentation can I look this up?In the documentation (UM2364 User manual) for the board NUCLEO-8S208RB, this information is written (see picture), but looking at the board, I understand that none of these schemes (see picture) are used by default. Or did I look wrong and it’s still being used?

HelloHow can I access STM8S CPU registers (Cosmic compiler)? When I write this "A = 0xff" (A is a processor register accumulator), then compiler writes this "#error cpstm8 main.c:17(3) A undefined". How to fix it?

Hello How can I access CPU registers using the Cosmic compiler?For example, when I access register A, the compiler throws an error A is undefined (This is shown in the picture and also the project files).  

When I run the program in debugging mode, everything works (I go through the steps and the program runs). When I run the program in real time, the program does not execute. What could be the reason? I use STVD and NUCLEO-8S208RB.

I am using STM8S003F3. If the supply voltage of STM8S003F3 is 3.3v, the ADC works well.However, if you apply a supply voltage lower than 3.3V, the ADC will not work.I hope the ADC works well at 3.0V.For reference, I know that the minimum supply voltage of STM8S003F3 is 2.9v. Is it possible to fix this problem by modifying the coding? Hi. I'm writing assembler code for the STM8S001j3. The data sheet recommends setting ports E5 & F4 to lo for power useage & EMC reasons. However the .asm & .inc files called up do not define ports E or F. The same goes for the peripheral enable  registers PCKENR1 & PCKENR2. This is using STVD 4.3.12.What am I missing ? (apart from not using C).

Hi All,This is my first post here and also my first interaction with ST micro devicesI'm truing to flash a .hex file into an STM8S103F3 using ST LINK V2 and STVP but I cannot connect to the device. I'm using a 5V external supply connected to the VDD and GND of the IC and ST Link and the SWIM and Reset wires are connected to pin 18 and 4. I have initially tried this on our product but I need to try to flash the device offline and I'm struggling to find a solution. Tried 3.3V as well, tried without the external supply, tried with different devices and multiple ST Link programmers. Same result. STVP has been set up correctly, with ST Link, SWIM and the correct device.Is there anything I'm missing?Thanks for your support!

Hello everyone,I am Prashant . I try to program STM8S001 microcontroller once I flash the code of UART and I initialize TX pin 8(PORT PD5) or 5(PORT PA3) after that i am trying to flash code again in controller but it's giving me SWIM Communication Error.in one Article I read before initialize Pin 8 and any kind of peripheral we have to put 5 secound delay than it will work .I tried that also but I can't able to flash code again in my MCU. Can anyone please help me how to solve this problem .
