Posted on March 10, 2017 at 14:55Hello All,I am using SPC560B540L5 Discovery board and SPC stdutio 5.2.3 updated version code generator.I am trying to emulate the Flash as EEPROM using EED driver. The IDE is installed with EEPROM emulation software and the way I generate the project is also proper even then the necessary configuration files and libraries for EED are not getting generated after generating the code. Normally, it should get listed under the EEPROM Emulation driver in components directory, but nothing exists other than ''mak'' folder. Please find the snap below.But still I tried to build the project but the compilation failed due to below shown error.I also tried with the Test application''SPC560Bxx_RLA EE Test Application for Discovery'' but the problem repeats.Even I tried with different versions of (SPC5studio) 5.0.0, 5.2.1 and 5.2.3 but nothings works.Kindly help in getting the problem resolved.Thanks in AdvanceRegards,R.Santhamurthy

Posted on March 27, 2017 at 10:53Hello All,I am using SPC5studio version 5.2.3 and SPC560B54L5 board.I have problem in using sprintf() library function.In a normal application sprintf() works fine but while using it in bootloader application it is creating a problem with the below error. Tried inserting relevant header files (string.h,stdio.h) also reinstalled the Free PowerPC-VLE GCC 4.9.2 toolchain but still the issue.Error log in console:Kindly provide your suggestion to solve this issue.Thanks in Advance,With Regards,R.Santhamurthy#spc5studio

Initially I tried to using DRUN mode but it didn't worked since it is getting stopped at irqSysHalt();Kindly guide me in triggering the software reset and executing the software reset service sequence#spc5studio #spc5x

Posted on March 24, 2017 at 11:38Hello All,I am using SPC560B54L5 Discovery board(SPC560B-Discovery), SPC5studio version 5.2.3 and UDE Visual Platform 4.2 version.When I  try to load the application the .elf is working fine. If i try to make use of .hex or .bin file (as per my requirement)I am facing following problems,When I try to load ''.hex'' file the code gets loaded successfully but while running it is throwing an error as '' Unknown Break cause''. Similarly, when I try to even  load ''.bin'' file it prompts with ''Unknown File Format'' error.Error While loading .hex file:Error While loading .bin file:Kindly suggest if I need to do the changes to the settings or preferences in IDE (or) UDERegards,R.santhamurthy

Posted on March 20, 2017 at 15:47Hello All, I am working on SPC560Bxx Discovery board using SPC5studio version 5.2.1.EED test code for SPC560B- Discovery RLA is working as described in ''readme'' file.As per my understanding FSL_WriteEeprom writes 10 records each 4 bytes,I would like to write one byte at a time in a record in this case how to increment to second byte address of the record. As per below testcode, the second argument of FSL_WriteEeprom is data ID(nothing but record address. If I want to write single byte per iteration what could be the value need to be passed as a second argument to FSL_WriteEeprom.Thanks in AdvanceRegards,R.Santhamurthy

Posted on March 10, 2017 at 15:52Hi, is it possible to lock out debugger access after programming the DCF record in the UTEST memory region?I am using the SPC570S40E1 micro and the Lauterbach debugger. After programming a DCF record incorrectly, I am getting a 'debug port fail' error when entering these commands: �SYStem.DETECT CPU� or �SYStem.Up�. How do I go about unlocking the device?Thanks#censored #spc570s40e1 #dcf

Posted on January 22, 2017 at 06:58Hello,  I configured in enhanced mode for system clock generation, our input clock is 40Mhz external crystal and need to generate 150Mhz  system clock. Since hardware is not supported to check CLKOUT pin for system clock, we configured SCK clock for calculating system clock. In below code used as provided by ST, but we facing a problem in free running the code ( debug port fail) while debugging the code in TRACE32.For below configuration, code is running some exceptional condition. Now I open SPC5Sudio and I find errors that there weren't 'Unresolved Inclusion 'components.h'' and the same with all the libraries that i'm using ('pwm_lld_cfg.h', 'spi_lld_cfg.h', 'pit_lld_cfg.h', 'can_lld_cfg.h').I checked in the SPC5 settings to look for the libraries inclusion and there aren't so does someone know where I can find them???Thanks a lot.Daniele.#pwm #can #spi #libreries

Here is my configuration: AC3 SC -> 16Mhz IRSOC AC2 SC -> PLL1 PLL0 Settings: PREDIV -> 2 MFD -> 80 RFDPHI -> 10 RFDPHI1 -> 10 PLL1 Settings: MFD ->18 RFDPHI ->8 With the above settings, I get the following clkrates. Posted on March 09, 2017 at 08:14hello i am working on Project with a SPC560D40 an SPC5 Studio. I'm trying to generate PWM-Signals on the Pins RA0 to RA5. When I look in the eMIOs Settings of the SPC560Dxx HAL Driver Component, I can only activate eMIOs group 0 (Channel 9..15) or Group1 (Channels 17..23) but RA0 to RA5 should be Channel 0..5. For these Channels I can only activate ICU drivers.

Posted on February 28, 2017 at 11:42Hi All,Appreciate your time and help.i am using the SPC560B-DIS development board with the spc5studio IDE.all of a sudden when i tried to flash the development board i got an error in the log saying : Error, Core::PpcJtagTargIntf, Connection to target lost !i suspected a loose cable to be the culprit but then the same cable works perfectly fine with the other EVM(evaluation board).Then i also checked the mini usb power/debug female port connector on the board which is fine as well.(did not see any physical damage on it attached is the image below).i have attached my boards log file from the UDE when i got the board connection lost error.#development-board #spc5-studio #spc560b-dis

Posted on March 07, 2017 at 18:57Hi,I've tested 'SPC563Mxx_RLA CAN Test Application for Discovery' avaible on SPCStudio 5.0.0. This application uses Can loopback to send to itself and receive CAN messages. How can I edit the code in order to create a communication between two same boards? Is CAN_A or CAN_C terminals enabled for this purpose or should I enable them manually in pinMap Wizard? To which teminal is associated CAND1 class? Posted on February 28, 2017 at 15:47Hi, when I create a new project in SPC5 studio, its not showing me with the component initialization options. It does not present me with any options for choosing the microcontroller, configuring the clocks, etc. Please see the attached picture(SPC5)When I select the microcontroller using the pin map wizard, I am able to configure pins, but it does not seem to be generating any application code.  Please see the attached picture( SPC5_pinmap)Also, what is the latest released version of SPC5 studio? I have seen post here mentioning the version 5.2.3 being available. My application is still on version 5.0. Its showing 'no updates found in the available software sites' when checking for updates.#spc5-studio
