If my Vdd is the same of Vdd_IO, can I directly connect pins 9 and 10, and use only two capacitor (100nF ceramic + 10μF aluminum) in my PCB? The datasheet say that: "All the voltage and ground supplies must be present at the same time to have proper behavior of the IC", but someone told me that I have to ensure that Vdd_IO is "faster" that Vdd, I mean, first apply Vdd_IO, then apply Vdd.Could you please confirm my thought?Thank you for your attention.

Hi,I am trying to read acceleration values from ;SM303C using a MCU. The output values are always zero, even for acceleration in z-axis when the module is at rest. I made sure that LSM303C is not in power down mode by setting CTRL_REG1_A (20h) to 0x6F. Please help. I am testing the VL53L1X in medium measurement mode at 200ms timing budget I get 140cm weak return signal value even when there is no object in front.In long measurement mode with 300ms timing budget with no object infront the values I get are jittery like 410cm and dips of 90cm to 200cm (weak return signal not range exceeded even though it should give Range Exceeded as there is no object in front). Due to this jitter in readings I am unable to decipher from the readings if there is an object in front or not.Is this a sensor limitation/draw back or they are not designed such that they cant be used in open space with no object in front.If any help is needed in understanding the readings let me know.

Hope it gets answered this time around.I have been trying to experiment with the interrupt functionality of LSM303C with no success.So far I have followed all the steps included on page 21 from the LSM303C datasheet. My steps are as follows:Wrote 0x43 to CTRL_REG1_AWrote 0x10 / 0x00 to CTRL_REG5_A (active low / active high )Wrote 0x00 to ACT_THS_AWrote 0x02 to ACT_DUR_ANow with active low setting on ctrl-reg5, the INT1 pin is always high and with active high setting on ctrl-reg5, INT1 pin is always low. I am having a hard time to get this working. Please let me know how can I detect activity / inactivity on LSM303C.--Sanket

Hi, we have a board with several I2C based sensors on it, including the LIS3MDL and LIS3DH.The 3DH works like a treat, but I cant get any communication from the 3MDL. The only thing I can see that would cause this is a discrepancy with our board design and the data sheet. I was hoping someone can confirm whether the reserved pins (2 and 12) are essential for operation and need to be connected to ground to work or if its ok for them to remain Not Connected. Thanks.

Hello.I'm working with a l3gd20 to detect an angular movement but most of the time the mic is asleep and to save energy I want to put the l3gd20 into low consumption, for that I am writing to CTRL_REG1 0x00 to be in power down but the gyro does not he wakes up again and does nothing.What I want is for the micro and the gyro to be asleep but if a movement is generated they wake up by the INT1 pin of the gyro.someone could do something so you can help me?Thank you very much for your attention.

I want to optimize the low power mode of my H3LIS331DL to detect an impact. I've attached an image of a scope capture of the current draw of my board during sleep mode. I've determined that the large current draw pules are the accelerometer turning on. The low power frequency in the capture (10Hz) gives me the most responsive detection. However, that pulse is huge! 40ms wide and 300uA is way too much for this application. What's the best way to optimize the power in this case? What strategies can I use? Is 300uA really the baseline current draw when the accel turns on? Or am I missing a setup parameter that can lower that baseline draw?

Hello,I have configured LIS2DH12 to generate interrupt on INT2 pin on activity(sleep to wake) using the register values as follows:CTRL_REG1 - 0x37CTRL_REG2 - 0x00CTRL_REG3 - 0x00CTRL_REG4 - 0x00CTRL_REG5 - 0x02CTRL_REG6 - 0x08ACT_THS - 0x10ACT_DUR - 0x00With this configuration, I am able to get an interrupt on INT2 pin. However, when I read INT2_SRC register, the IA bit is not set to 1. Can you please let me know if there is another way to identify the interrupt source for sleep to wake event because I am planning to use the INT2 pin for another event as well.

I got a STEVAL-MKI191V1 Eval, and I am trying to write a wake-up driver for the accelerometer, but I cannot seem to disable the DRDY interrupt on INT1. I am writing 0x20 to register 0x23 (CTRL4_INT1_PAD_CTRL), but when looking at the scope, I see the ODR rate programmed outputted no matter what I try. I can read-back the register, and I see its not set, but it does not seem to matter to the INT1 output.Any idea of what might be going on? Does that register only work in High power mode? I am trying to work at 12.5Hz LP mode. Thanks

HI All,I'm using LIS2DW12 sensor with STM32 controller. sensor is interfaced with SPI protocol. I'm using DMA to read sensor output. SPI is configured and tested with 8MHZ and 16Mhz clock frequency. For 16Mhz clock I'm able to read data from the sensor. !!!!!!!!!!!!! ( Sensor supports max 10Mhz clock frequency but i'm able to see data output with 16Mhz)but with 8Mhz DMA read data is not proper...???? Please help me to understand this issue and share inputs to solve this issue.Thanks,Basavangouda.

Hi,In our project we would like to power on H3LIS331DL only once after reset and configure the sensor in lowest power mode when not in use. Issue is that, the data ready interrupt is triggered only for the very first iteration and no more interrupts are generated for the consecutive cycle of operations. For the latter, I am planning to Configure the CTRL_REG6 for enabling IA2 and ACT interrupt by writing value 0x28.Configure INT2_CFG for enabling OR combination and ZHIE, YHIE & XHIE (Value 0x2A)Set the threshold and duration for strong impact in INT2_THS and INT2_DUR registers.Set the threshold and duration for inactivity in ACT_THS & ACT_DUR registers.Can you please confirm if this approach would work for detecting all the desired events?
