I'm using the LSM6DSOX which can measure ±2000dps and ±16g for each axis with the correct settings. I'm wondering if there is a reliable way to detect if the motion of the sensor went beyond those limits during a given time window. Does the sensor reliably return the maximum/minimum 16bit integer value? Is there some other trick?

Hello,We are using the LIS2DH12TR sensor in our project. As per the datasheet, I understand that it always shows +1g on the +Z-axis when the IC is at rest.We are operating the sensor in HR mode under different modes  2g, 4g, 8g and also in 16g mode. But strangely the raw values are always near 16384 (0x4000). I tried the same experiment with Low power mode and also normal mode. Still, the values are the same. I tried tilting the board making the X-axis and also Y-axis point to the sky, in that case, the respective axis shows a raw value near 16384 always. If the respective axis is pointed towards the earth, then the sensor reads a value near -16384 (0xC000)Please help me understand how to convert the raw values to engineering values. It would be really helpful if anyone could break down the calculations for 4g. 8g and 16g (as I have gone through the 2g example), like what values should we expect when the

Hello,I am using a LSM6DSO32 on a custom board.  As an attempt to save power in sleep mode we want to place the device in ULP (ultra low power mode) as specified by the datasheet.  I have attached my function that initializes the device in ULP mode and enables wake up interrupt.  I see the same power draw wether or notctrl5.xl_ulp_mode is set.  Can anyone advise what I am doing wrong. Thanks!-Jamie

Hello. I made all the adjustments for my STEVAL kit. I also installed the necessary binary file in the Wifi module (Dsh predmnt). According to the guide I gave in the link, I stay on page 12 step 8. When I enter the wifi id password, it does not connect. My wifi module just lights up yellow red. Can you help me why the problem is caused?I installed the DSH-PREDMNT binary file only on the wifi module. I did not install it on the STEVAL kit. could the problem be caused by this?

Hi,I have two LPS28DFW in my application. The absolute value as well as the difference is important here. I noticed that there is a difference of around 30 Pa. Is it reasonable to assume that this difference is roughly constant in the future? I tested it for around 5000 seconds (see attached scatter plot and histogram for the difference) and it was pretty stable (sensor temperature was ~31°C in both cases). I am also going to test it for a longer time period but I'd like to know from a theoretical standpoint if I can assume this to be roughly constant and if I can use this for a "factory calibration" of my application to improve accuracy.Thanks for your help.

Hi! I hope somebody can help me. I am trying to get the sensory_tnl example of the X-Cube-LocalVUI package on the STM32H747I-DISCO with the STEVAL$MIC008AA (dual MEMS Microphones) board working. Unfortunately, I cannot get any audio signals although this is presented in the "Customizable embedded voice recognition solutions without external connectivity" webinar by ST. It does work with the internal microphone on the discovery board but as soon as I try to switch to the external ones, I cannot seem to get an input signal. As there is no guideline how this should work, can somebody give me a hint which macros I could try change in the code?

Hi!We are a group trying to get reliable rotation data out of the LSM6DSV16X sensor. The accumulated error values in the datasheet seemed promising. However, we are currently in a state, where the sensor is returning gyroscope data, but the actual observed drift is much higher (upwards of 20 degrees of drift over the period of 5 minutes).I'll try to summarize what we are doing, but the code for the project can be found here .We are setting up the ODR for the gyroscope and the accelerometer to be 120Hz, as that is our polling frequency. We then set the BDR of the SFLP to be also at that frequency. We then run through the FIFO every iteration, extract out the relevant data and send it to our server software, where it gets displayed. Greetings,I have been trying to read the sensors from the ISM330DLC using its FIFO. However, when reading the number of samples (FIFO_STATUS1/2), it remains 0 with just dataset 1 and 2 enabled. When enabling dataset 4 with either, or and temperature and timestamp, the FIFO fills as expected. My board is having the accelerometer device ism330dlc. I am trying to write the value 0x4a to CTRL1_XL(10h).I am using the default  accelerometer driver :https://github.com/torvalds/linux/tree/master/drivers/iio/imu/st_lsm6dsxI set the sampling frequency to 104000 and then I write the value 0xa to CTRL1_XL. When I check the i2cdump, I can see that the value of register 10h is set to 4a. But when I try to read the values of in_accel_x_raw, in_accel_y_raw, in_accel_z_raw , I can see the value of CTRL1_XL(10h) is getting overwritten. Could you please let me know how can I keep the value of CTRL1_XL constant without being overwritten when trying to access other register values?

Hi,When bring up sensors on steval-mki128v6,  for accelerometer and gyro,  read out who_am_i value is 0x6A, which means lsm6dsm. I can use user application to get samples. But I can't find any steval-mki128v6 document online.V5 is lsm6ds3, V7 is lsm6dso, what's for V6? lsm6dsm?Thanks

We are observing that LSM6DSV FIFO Timestamp is drifting at a constant rate when Gyro sensor is enabled.Our ImplementationWe are using 6-axis IMU sensor LSM6DSV with st_lsm6dsvx driver from ST GitHub and integrated with OSD32MP157 SiP.We've modified the original driver to configure the sensor as follows:- Configure the ODR-triggered mode as per sec 3.3 of Application note AN5922. - Configure the Timestamp resolution by using the INTERNAL_FREQ_FINE register value and formula as per sec 6.4 of Application note AN5922

Hello,I have a problem with the Gesture Evaluation Kit v1.4.0(EVK from now on) in combination with Nucleo F401RE and VL53L8CX ToF sensor. After uploading the binary file that comes with EVK, the GUI app sees the comport that Nucleo is connected to, but when trying to connect, it says that there is no response. There is no problem like this using same version of EVK and same Nucleo in pair with VL53L5CX ToF.

Hello Community,I am unsure what the ODR will be for the IIS3DWB sensor when we select the bandwidth of ODR/4.Kindly suggest the relationships if available, I did not find any mention in the datasheet except for Table 45.Are there any setting to select the ODR for the sensor? Is ODR autoselected as some multiple of the Bandwidth? Or is ODR always 26kHz irrespective of the bandwidth?Regards

Hi,I have spent the last 2 weeks working on a project with the STM32F102CBT6 that includes the MP34DT06J MEMS microphone, but so far I have been unable to get it to output a valid PDM data stream. I have tried using both the SPI1 in master receive mode, as well as generating a 2MHz clock signal using the TIM2 channel 2 PWM functionality, but in both cases reading the DOUT pin of the mic shows an occasional spike, but no real data. There is the exception that within the 1st 20ms of powering up the device it appears to be outputting data, but then it returns to a seemingly idle state. For the mic I've connected pin 1 to 3.3V, pin 2 to ground, pin 3 to pin PB3 of the STM, and pin 4 to pin PB4 of the MCU. Has anyone run into this problem before?

Hello,I am trying to develop an audio classification through a decision tree in unico GUI platform using the mlc for lsm6dsox. I have the B-l475E-IOT01A motherboard and I want to know if it is possible to use the sensor LSM6DSOX with this motherboard. This is because when I connect the motherboard to the computer and then try to open Unico GUI selecting the device LSM6DSOX I get the message:  Does anybody know if I have to do anything in order to use this sensor wit the mentioned motherboard? Sensor: LI2MDLMCU: STML072I am trying to read the who_am_I register (register 0xAF) with the 3-wire SPI setup, but it is returning the wrong data.Below is a screenshot of the transmission and the return from the LIS2MDL. The transmission's first bit is SET to indicate that it is a READ operation. Is there any way to achieve this desired noise sensitivity using the ADXL3555 accelerometer. Maybe using filter? Appreciate the help.
