I'm trying to connect to AWS for cloud logging but in the android app during setup I select "select file" and it's allowing me to look for the file but when I select a specific file for the certificate or key the app doesn't register that selection. I am successfull on selecting files on am Apple app, but then it actually doesn't connect to AWS. The app just says "connecting" and never connects. ​So:​1. The android app is updated So I'm not sure why the app is not allowing me to select a file so I need help with this​.​2. Thoughts on why on the Apple app I cannot get an actual connection? I​3.Is there any documentation on setting up a connection to AWS. Set up seems pretty straightforward with entering the information information but obviously something is happening that it's not connecting.​​

y-axisz-axisI am using IIS3DWB to collect the vibration data. When the chip is stationary, the z-axis should be affected by gravity and output 1g, but. Hi,I've configured the LSM6DSO with an NRF52. The NRF52 is able to use DMA and to trigger the SPI clock for bulk read in background without incorporating the CPU. But as far as I can see in the datasheet and the example drivers the LSM is not capable of doing a bulk read? The closest I've found is CTRL5_C the rounding bits. But I would like to have a bit more explanation on how to start a bulk read in fifo mode.kind regards,Constantin

Hi,I am testing the accelerometer and can see that it also measures the acceleration caused by gravity.Is there a setting or way to filter gravity out from the reading?If there is any calculation, could you please share us the same for with gravity and without gravity?Thanks,Akshay

Hello,I'm in the evaluation stage of LSM6DSO sensor. I've got a SensorTile.Box module and running DataLogExtended.bin firmware and I use Unicleo-GUI to read sensors' data. I'm expecting to get 0 values for the gyro outputs if the module is stationary but instead, I'm getting -1100 on the Y putout and some other values on the other axis. Attached is the screenshot of the Unicleo-GUI graph.Do I need to calibrate the sensor before start reading the values? If Yes, is there any way to do it via the GUI?RegardK

I see a constant, very strong peak at 8kHz in all signals measured with the LIS25BA accelerometer without any obvious source. The peak is very sharp, so there is probably a coherent signal coupled into the system, and it's not the sensor resonance or anything like that. It is strongest in the z-axis, but also present in the other axes.The sensor is mounted on a custom mini board and connected to it's periphery via a shielded cable. The output sampling frequency is WCLK=24kHz of the sensor and the master / bit clock MCLK=BCLK=12.288MHz . I encountered the problem with all mini-boards / sensors I tested.I'm a bit confused now, because of the digital nature of the transmission, I think the noise has to be coupled into the signal on the chip itself, either mechanically or electrically.I'm not sure, which countermeasures I can't take. Does anyone know, what might cause this problem or how to counteract it? Is this maybe a known problem? Any help appreciat

The sensor LPS27 is amazing, it only has one problem: it is impossible to buy . it is out of stock.The new LPS28 sensor is even better, but at the moment its sale is very limited. When could it be fully available?

I used the LIS2DTW12 adapter board (STEVAL-MKI190V1) with I2C communication. power supply: 3VWith low power mode 12.5Hz, the current consumption is normal as 1.3uA (datasheet 1uA). But when it's set as 12.5 Hz, high performance with low noise mode, the current consumption becomes 147uA (datasheet:90uA). If I disable low noise but keep high performance, the current consumption becomes 118uA, which is till higher than 90uA in the datasheet.Below is the schematic. I double check all the connections but cannot figure it out the root cause. Could someone please take a look at my question and design?Thanks,-Lei

We are trying to use data from MotionFX output in order to do dead reckoning.We are using linear acceleration which is as per our understanding equal to:acceleration - gravity accelerationLinear acceleration is being integrated in order to get velocity, but the velocity doesn't get back to zero when the device is stationary. We expect it to get to zero when acceleration is zero in the image below (note that data is acquired by placing the sensor on a leg and walking with it).We are using a 100Hz sampling rate and 9DOF output. MotionFX algorithm works pretty well in our setup in terms of device orientation in space (quaternions), but we are having mentioned issues with using it for dead reckoning.

I have stm32f746 discovery board. I need to get input by microphone, and give it to my tensorflow model. I could find neither a plain documentation nor a video. Can you please inform me how to work with microphone on STM32?Thx for your responses.

I'm trying to implement a 6- or 8-microphone arrangement, as outlined in AN5027 (p25). The recommended approach is to use an SAI with PDM interface, but I'm struggling to find a suitable MCU (and subsequently, a suitable Nucleo dev board). I've not even seen an actual working example of this, but I'm assuming I'd configure the PDM as a mode in the SAI configuration. What I know for sure is that when I configure the SAI on my L4A6ZG, there is no option for PDM mode.I'd welcome any advice.Thanks!

Hi folks, I am using the LSM6DSO sensor and trying to output data via the pin 2 interrupt. I've set up the interrupt to fire when the FIFO is full to a predetermined threshold. After the FIFO interrupt fires, the system will empty the FIFO of the data and wait for the next interrupt. I'm using the STM32-F446RE Nucleo board. I am using PB1 and PB2 to trigger on the iis3dwb interrupts; PB1 and PB2 are setup as GPIO_EXTI1 and GPIO_EXTI2 respectively. These interrupts work as I have a breakpoint in the interrupt handler's and can trigger them by manually touching the respective pins (24 and 21 on CN10 on the Nucleo) with a 3.3v jumper.I'm trying to setup the iis3DWB to use the internal FIFO to collect only the Z-axis data; ideally, I want to trigger an interrupt on INT1 whenever the FIFO watermark has been reached, however, it doesn't generate an interrupt. I tried to then simply enable all interrupt sources on the iis3dwb sensor to output to INT1 just to see if it ever fires off, and it seems like it doesn't. We are currently implementing a LIS2DE12 accelerometer into a project, but we have issues where they sometimes get "stuck" and continue reporting back the exact same values from when it was in motion.Current implementation uses 1hz refresh-rate, using int1 for triggering readout. Interrupts keep triggering as usual @1hz when getting "stuck".We have indications that this may be more frequent when used in situations where it is subjected to higher g-forces (attached to a ground-compactor) but i don't see us even getting close to the 3000g for 0.5s that the device is rated for.We have not ruled out issues with the PCB, but it is strange that the reads returns the same values over and over when it gets "stuck" in this mode. A power-cycle does seem to get it "unstuck" sometimes but not always.Are there any erratas on the LIS2DE12 line perhaps?

Good morning.We are testing several motion sensors for a commercial medical wristband. We have selected the LSM6DSL to evaluate its suitability. However, we have detected a very strange power consumption pattern. The VCC pin consumes as expected an average of 40uA:Nevertheless, the consumption of the VDDIO is rather strange. The consumption due to the actual communication every two seconds is represented by the small wedge of around 100ms in the middle of the low power consumption interval. We don't have any good explanation for the presence of the massive ramp, it seems like something that is being charged and suddenly discharges itself. We have checked that no pin is floating on the SPI interface.

I am very interested in this Qvar sensing. What i understand is this Qvar depends on the electrode discharge and the Qvar wants to take advantage of ESD, is it correct? Also does the Electrode sensing pad size affect sensing ability?How could we protect the pins/chip? Do we always need ESD Diode to protect the Chip ?

Hello,I am facing a problem while using STEVAL-MKI197V1(https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/steval-mki197v1.html) with Raspberry pi 2 and try to fetch the accelerometer values.I am not able to interface this with Raspberry pi 2. I am using python language for scripting. I am curious if they is anything to be done before interfacing (such as downloading the libraries compatible with Raspberry pi). Since I am new to this process, I would like to know what would be the best approach to interface this sensor and fetch the accelerometer values using python language in Raspberry pi. It would be of great help if anyone has any reference on this and is happy to share.Thanks

At the stage of creating a proof concept, a LSM6DSOX sensor for a wearable device was chosen. In the datasheet, its power consumption looks fine (~15µA per MLC tree), but in practice there are problems and I want to understand what the problem is. I used this sensor with the ST(lsm6dsox_gym_activity_recognition_left) MLC example for check power consumption because the device we are designing needs to detect activity. Consumption in this case is about 500 µA(not 15, right?).
