with having STMems_Standard_C_drivers/ism330dlc_read_data_polling.c at master · STMicroelectronics/STMems_Standard_C_drivers · GitHub this as reference code i am trying to get the device ID (WHO_AM_I) as my initial task but i can't able to get the ID, as i am not getting the VDD (voltage which is needed to turn on the core of sensor board) at the 24 pin connector i tried to make modifications with PWM initialization but still i am not able to get the supply voltage VDD. is there any code for reference with combination of those board.

Hi! My name is Vincenzo.I studied the ToF sensors VL53L3CX and VL53L1X. A few days ago I decided to study the VL53L1. When driving these two sensors with nordic's bluetooth chip, I want to obtain the relevant attitude angle through the motionfx library, but the program has been stuck in the initialization of motionfx. If the MadgwickAHRSupdate algorithm is used, the yaw angle drifts too much, I can't solve these problems at present, any good suggestions?

I'd like to know what the differences are between the VL53L1, L3 and L5 from an optics and SPAD array perspective. From this question (https://community.st.com/s/question/0D53W00000EmGT5/i-want-to-implement-lidar-using-multiple-vl53l3cx) it seems like the difference between the L1 and L3 is that the L1 has a lens and the L3 does not. However, is the L3 still using the same 16x16 SPAD array as the L1, or does it just use a single diode?My questions boil down to:Which optics are on each of the three sensorsWhat size SPAD array are on each of the three sensorsWhat are the differences between the L1 and the L5 if they are both lensedThank you!

Hello, I have developped a product using VL53L1X last year, and recent communication from STM suggest there is an improvement in detection in a new product, VL53L1. I wonder if this is exactly the same product with only software improvement (hence I just have to buy this new reference to benefit from the improvement) or if this is a new product with different characteristic (different consumption, different API etc ...) that would need a re-design ?Thank you for your kind answer

Hi,so a few months ago I wrote a program to read values from LIS3DSH sensor. It was working good until last week Z axis stopped working, and this week Y axis also. It always sends back 0x8080 values, while X axis is still working great. I have a custom PCB board with STM32F407VG and LIS3DSH (and more :) ) and this problem only occures on this board - when I put the same program to STM32F407VG - DISC board it works great, thats why I don't think there is a problem with my program or my SPI configuration. So, I decided to change LIS3DSH to a new one (I can do that because it's changeable on my board). The problem is that new LIS always responds 0xFF to whatever I send to him. To be fair with you, I don't remember now if I had to anything special at the first start up of the old LIS3DSH, but the one doesnt wont to work with the same program that DISC works.Does anyone had this kind of problem? Or maybe, there is a special config to put at the first sta

Hi,I use STM32F4 with BMI160. But i have a problem. I cannot initiate BMI160 so I can not get gyro and accel data. You can see here my init functions:"init_sensor_interface();bmi160_init(&bmi160dev);init_bmi160_sensor_driver_interface();"When i write, i get new error: They are indefined references. I also get "BMI160 initialization fail!" message from my serial screen because "rslt == BMI160_OK" is not true. If you have any idea, please share with me. I couldn't fix it. Thanks.

Hello ,Is it possible to connect the senor-borad STEVAL-BCN002V1B direct with our computer, if the computer has Bluetooth 5.0 standard. Or do I need an bluetooth extension board for my nucleo board.The aim is to read out the sensordata from the board live via Bluetooth and use the data in MATLAB.There are any better solution the read out the sensor data?Thanks for your help.Cheers Fabian

We've just changed the way our system is powered: Previously the accelerometer was powered from a 1.8V regulator, now it's powered directly from a 3V coin cell (schematic part attached).With the change, we have started to observe a strange ramping which is visible from about 2V upwards and increases with an increase in VDD. Attached is an image of the current ramping, with VDD set to approx 2.9V. The larger thin spikes belong to a BLE module, the very tiny spikes are all I would expect to see of the accelerometer in operation - in fact that is the case when running at 1.8V.The accelerometer is configured to capture in FIFO mode, the gyro is off. The IRQ is used to notify FIFO events and to flush the buffer. Same ramp is visible, regardless of power mode (ultra low, normal, high-perf). We are only ever capturing at 12.5Hz. No extended functionality is enabled (motion event, etc). We use SPI Mode 1 to communicate with the device, both IRQ pins

I'm trying to configure a LIS3DH to trigger INT1 after filling FIFO, after which I want to read out everything over I2C and then repeat.I've gotten it to work (at f=10 Hz, I get INT1 interrupts at the expected ~3 sec interval), but when I read out the data, I get 0x00 values only. When I configure without the FIFO (trigger INT1 on every sample), I get reliable data. But then I added the following:init:CTRL_REG5: flip FIFO_ENABLE bitFIFO_CTRL_REG: flip MODE_STREAM bit and set FTH bits to 31CTRL_REG3: OVERRUN on INT1 instead of DRDYon INT1 signal:read FIFO_SRC_REG, set N to BITS(0:4) - this is always 31 so it's looking good so farloop 32 times: burst read six bytes starting at output reg 0x28 (OUT_X_L)Check FIFO_SRC_REG, ensure EMPTY bit is set. It always is.But when I dump out the data, it's always 0x000000000000. Anyone have any idea what could be going on

Hello,I am trying to use an LSM6DSOX through SPI communication, but I am having some problems due to the length of the cable. I'm using a cable about 2 m long but the sensor is not working well. I have tried using different LSM6DSOX chips but the result is always the same, sometimes information is lost in the sensor response and other times it generates interference with another sensor that is connected to the same SPI bus (a MAX30003 ECG sensor).I suspect that the problem is caused by the cable length because I have also tried using a shorter cable (about 30 cm) and there is not problem with that configuration. Therefore, I want to know what is the maximum distance supported by the SPI bus to connect this sensor and also what could you suggest me to avoid the communication problems when using a long cable to connect the sensor to the master device.Additional information:I am using a Raspberry Pi 3 model B as master device.

Hi all,I'm trying to read output data from a I3G4250D gyrometer, but despite everything I've done, I can't get rid of data corruption during asynchronous reads.The corruption seems to be caused by the registers being updated while we're reading data from low and high data registers. For example: while reading OUT_X_L and OUT_X_H register, when a new data is available, it overwrites the content of OUT_X_H before the read is completed. The pattern of data corruption agrees with that (corruption is more visible when values change from positive to negative, or vice-versa, during a read).This device doesn't have a "Block data update" configuration like other devices we're using (IIS2DH, LSM6DS33...), but the datasheet specifies how to avoid data corruption while performing asynchronous reads:

Moreover, we have a custom designed sensor that we want to put on the PCB. However, I'm not able to find the reference PCB design on the website.I don't see them under 'CAD Resources'. During code project development I have come across some mismatch between documentation (UM2193) and provided example in STMCubeMX (MotionAR library version: 3.2.1).1. According to documentation "required accelerometer data sampling frequency: 16Hz" but frequency 50Hz has been used in provided example - can you explain why 50Hz was utilized according to required 16Hz? I am trying to connect the SensorTile.box to my iPhone using the ST BLE Sensor app. However, when I go to "Connect to a device" in the app and select the SensorTile.box that I have, the app asks me to enter a code to connect to the box. We are using Motion_AC to calibrate Accelerometer Offset & Scale, and Motion_GC to calibrate Gyro Offset. However, we have found a need for also correcting the Gyro Scale. We work with the LSM6DSM and ISM330DHCX sensors. We found that within a particular production batch of a particular iNEMO sensor model, the correction coefficents are very similar. However the coefficients for LSM6DSM and ISM330DHCX are different. And the coefficients for a batch of ISM330DHCX from 2020 are very different from the coefficients from a second batch of ISM330DHCX from 2021.1) Should these differences in coefficients between iNEMO models be expected?2) Should these differences in coefficients between different "batches" of ISM330DHCX be expected?3) Given we are seeing these differences, what type of scale calibration does ST recommend for highest accuracy integrated gyro angles?  Are there any whitepapers that address this?4) If suc
