Does it also give the mentioned accuracy during weather changes? (Use case is set up in Europe.)

I uploaded accelerometer application from phone application and it worked well. But after a while it stopped working. It didn't connect anymore to phone application. I thought battery was depleted so I charged it for a while but still no connection.Then I tried to upload a new firmware on it using STM32 JTAG probe but it cannot connect to that either. I'm using STM32CubeProgrammer tool for that and it gives me the error: "Error: No STM32 target found".From what I can see the sensortile is powered on (no led blinking) abd JTAG cable connected ok.What can be wrong ?Thanks.

In AN5755 it says: "If the user wants to read both pressure and Qvar, the interleaved mode should be enabled with bit QVAR_AUTO_EN in register 12h: • write(0x12, 0xA0); // QVAR_enable in interleaved mode In this mode the output registers are filled once with pressure data and once with Qvar data alternatively every ODR. So, both pressure and Qvar data have their ODR halved (in one-shot mode the output is filled one time with pressure, one time with Qvar)."I don't see QVAR_AUTO_EN in the CTRL_REG3 data sheet description, and when I tried this it didn't seem to work. Is this supported/further documented?In order to minimize power in barometer mode the data sheet advises to write 0x00 to register 0x5F. But this register is not indicated in the register map. I did this and nothing bad happened, but again, is this supported/documented somewhere?Lastly, I would like to be able to set an over value interrupt on one of the INT pins for a QVAR value

We are seeing something quite odd with readings.We have the device completely static on a bench, at 1kHz, as initialised below. The readings bounce around as explained elsewhere, but occassionally we get what looks like a random sample that appears in our history. We can run for 24 hours and suddenly, somewhere in the middle the readings will jump from 0.7 G in compeltely static state to 2.4G (after conversion). This seems to be exacerbated by the HP filter. With it running the data varies much more frequently and will exceed 3G within a typical 10minute period, turning it off makes this less likely but not impossible.Does anybody have specific experience with this?Do note that we are polling the sensor periodically, and its my understanding that wiht the BDU feature turned on we should not see this effect due to polling.here is my init code, with the filter enabled.... h3lis331dl_boot_set(&gSe

I want to interfacing industrial analogue sensors with STM32F030C8T6TR so I need to convert signal in to 0-3.3v signal.4-20ma to 0-3.3v0-10v to 0-3.3v​1) For converting signal which is good way using opamp or voltage divider?​​2) It is possible using one circuit for both ip and get 0-3.3V op?​

The device is recognized by the smartphone, but is unable to pair with it even though the ST BLE Sensor recognizes and does connect and download its configuration and provide battery level. It indicates that it is logging DAT files to the SD card and does allow CSV export of the data t; however, I am unable to read the sensor readings on the phone.

Hi Team, I want to learn the i2c features and functions while using STM32F4 Discovery kit based on STM32F411VE and communication with LSM303DLHC.I want to know if there is any deault register selected in LSM303DLHC when no register value is mentioned. In this for the i2c communication I am planning to use LSM303DLHC for undersatnding the i2c communication and the protocols. I want to learn more about the driver API like i2c_init(), i2c_read(), i2c_read_with_no_register etc.. Kindly suggest me a way to learn about the above mentioned functions. I don't have much experience using the boards. Your help will be really appretiated if I can learn about the API for the different functions, develope test code for each (test automation). Please let me know in case of any concern. Thank you in advance. Regards,Irine C Jose

I'm looking for instructions on interfacing MP23DB01HP Microphone to Cortex-A7 on STM32MP157 through I2S bus.The application note AN5027 is a good starting point but does not mention how to integrate with Linux on Cortex-A7.I've modified the devcie tree to connect Microphone to I2S1 bus but couldn't figure out the Microphone driver to link to devcie tree.Any help is much appreciated.

(1) Are there best practice examples available?(2) Can I glue the top side of the MEMS to a steel surface? I expect lower temperature deformation than when fixed with the PCB. Or does the steel surface deform the MEMS in the mentioned temperature rage and thus lead to bad measurements?(3) Which glue would you suggest?

Hello, I am attempting to communicate using SPI with an H3LIS331 accelerometer. The H3LIS331 is on a custom board that originally had a LIS3DSH on it. The LIS3DSH had been working without a problem, but we were looking to expand the acceleration scale. No matter what register I attempt to access, the MISO line puts out one byte of 0xFF and one byte of 0x00. See the attached logic analyzer screenshot, which shows writing to 3 CTRL registers and then attempting to read the WHO_AM_I register. The SPI traffic in the screenshot is the first to occur after powering the board on.Additional information: I am using a SPI clock of 9.4 MHzI have my SPI set up per the datasheet: Clock idle high, data valid on rising edgeI have verified that the devices' pins are at the correct voltagesThis SPI bus is shared with other devices (different CS lines), and those still communicate correctlythe SPI signals all look okay on an

I was using an ISM303DAC as an accelerometer and everything was fine. Unfortunately, the chip was discontinued, and I had to immediately replace it with LIS2DS12 because all of the accelerometer register configurations were the same. I didn't have to rewrite the firmware this way. Everything was fine until the hardware failed in the field. None of the data made sense. Then I did a quick sanity check by measuring and comparing the data from both chips. The ISM303DAC produced consistent results and accurately measured all frequency components. The LIS2DS12 plots, which use the same firmware and analysis code, are complete nonsense, with none of the frequency components making any sense. I'm in a terrible situation. I used this chip in 100 pcbs that I shipped to another country. It is simply not an option for me to redesign and ship another batch with different sensors when the original is no longer available. Hi,I am using STM32F401VE with IIS3DHHC accelerometer sensor. I wanted to use the accelerometer as inclinometer. Apparently some documents are available with the mathematical formula to convert the accelerometer into inclinometer. However, I was wondering if there are some libraries which are available for the calibration of the inclinometer and implementation of Kalman filter. I am wondering if the Kalman filter is necessary for this sensor. Please helpRegards,Akhil.

we're using LSM6DSOTR and communicating that with I2C and it working as expected but sometimes we suddenly see some issues and they are unpredictably happening at any moment of time.there are mainly two issues that we have seen till now and that are listed below:when we try to read WHOAMI register, the value needed to be returned is 0x6C (as per datasheet) but we're getting 0x00 and when we try reading value for X,Y,Z registers, it returns a fixed value and never changes even after moving vigorously. We also enabled tap interrupt and we're seeing that being detected, but XYZ values are not changing.In second scenario it's mostly similar to first except in this we're not able to detect the interrupt as well.These issues we have not seen previously but now, we have other peripherals also on the same I2C bus and they are responding correctly. So we're wondering what could be the cause for this and how we can resolve this issue

Hi, I'm working on H3LIS331DL MEMS sensor, which is interfaced with PIC microcontroller's SPI. Some sensors are working fine by giving appropriate value in all 3 axis,  but for same configuration and interface i am getting 0 values in all 3 axis in some sensors. Whether it may be a sensor issue, How to check its working with these 0 values

Hi,I "think" I have a H3LIS331DL (mounted on its back due to hardware issues with the SAMLC21 based prototype and now fixed with glue). I am aware of the obvious changes in accel directions, but just want to get the prototype running. When reading the WHO_AM_I I get the value of 0b10110010 (and not 0b00110010). I am using SPI at 5MHz, MOSI and MISO look fine with MISO going to high on the falling (9th) SCLK edge in preparation of the first bit being a 1.A test read of the CTRL_REG1 which powers up to 0b00000111 according to the data sheet gives me the value 0b00000111.Can it simply be a wrong chip? If so: which one? Anybody seeing similar problems?ThanksFrieder

Hi, I have a board with h3lis331dl and asm330 on it. And the 2 sensors are weld on the same SPI wire. The MCU uses CS signal to select the sensor it wants to read. everything is going on well with asm330. But when I select h3lis331dl, the read out ID is correct at around first 3 times. But after that, the read out h3lis331dl ID becomes 0xff. I have no idea what's wrong here. Maybe some registers were set wrong? Did someone else suffer from this problem before? thanks.lyc

I'm using a Jetson Nano, and am trying to get it running though python. Extreme lack of documentation and references for the board has left be confused.Making the generic connections and running i2cdetect in the terminal, I detect the device at addresses 0x6a, 0x6b and 0x1c, which is very peculiar since I didn't find such a case in my research online. The package I'm trying to get it to run, is Adafruit_LSM9DS1, which is made for Raspberry Pi. It gives me the error "No device detected at 0x1e" which makes sense, but I'm not sure what change I should make to rectify it.Right now, all I wanna do is to run a script and read Accelerometer data from it.I'm already using external pull up resistors, since Nano doesn't have inbuilt ones.

The description of the threshold registers says: "The value is expressed in 15-bit unsigned. Even if the threshold is expressed in absolute value, the device detects both positive and negative thresholds.".There is only one threshold to be set, despite the magnetometer having three axes. Hello.I am trying to perform temperature calibration on ISM330DHCX (bought from adafruit) for both gyro and accel.IMU is sampled at 104Hz via SPI bus.The IMU sits inside a glass container, and is placed in a freezer. When the IMU temperature reaches -10C the glass container with the IMU is taken out of the freezer and is placed in a hot room with air temperature around 40C. See attached temperature profile. Initial temperature increase is very aggressive - about 1deg C per minute, but then flattens out.My concern is gyro and accel behavior during the first 100000 samples/1000 seconds. Plots attached. It seems that the IMU shouldn't behave like that during varying temperature.So far I tested 3 different ISM330DHCX sensors this way and they all behave like that during the aggressive segment of temperature increase.Any ideas on what might be wrong, or does this seem normal given the aggressive temperature ramp

Hi, I am looking into using the LIS3MDL 3-Axis Magnetometer in an application with high frequency oscillating magnetic fields. I have looked through the datasheet of the LIS3MDL and it seems to meet most requirements that I've checked. My application has a magnetic flux density of .23 Gauss which is in the magnetometers range. The 16 bit output will provide sufficient precision as well. The frequency of oscillation of the magnetic field is 35kHz which is my primary concern. I saw some values for the Clock speed using SPI and I2C Communication Protocols however I need help to know if these will correlate to a sufficient ADC to accurately sample the field. And Likewise what would be your suggestion for an alternative if the LIS3MDL isn't suitable for my application.Thanks a ton in advance,Orlando
