Hello,LIS2DH12 accelerometer. Datasheet AN5005 shows Table 4.Is this the speed of data transfer via the SPI or I2C interface? Or the speed of converting data into accelerations and writing this accelerations to the OUTX_H and OUTX_L registers?

Hello Developers,In my product we are using ST Mems senor LSM6DSOX with Noridc chipset. Currently only acceleration data is read from sensor every minute which gives 1 sample of x,y.z axis accleration in mg/minute.  Configuration of LSM6DSOX sensor:ODR :  6667HzScale:  16g Now in my solution i want to calculate the velocity (m/s) of the object in x,y,z, direction using this acceleration data points.  Currently i am using this python script to calculate velocity, but i want to verify is this the right approach. I have taken two values as sample when node is steady in ideal condition. Python script attached for reference.     Can anyone let me know how we can convert acceleration data to veloctity ? 

Hello, What is the maximum data transfer rate over the SPI interface for the LIS2DH12 accelometer? The datasheet doesn't say anything about this. About the I2C interface it is said that it can operate in standard mode (up to 100 kHz) and fast mode (up to 400 kHz). But nothing is said about the SPI interface.

Hi,I am using IMU sensor LSM6DSO set to 100 Hz sampling rate. I am trying to figure out what is the tolerance of the IMU sampling frequency set by it's internal clock. How confident can I be that when I set it to 100 Hz, it will not fluctuate to higher/lower frequencies?

Posted on June 02, 2015 at 18:20I have an application using the LIS3DH.  I need to read the values from the on chip Temperature Sensor.  I have properly setup the ADC_PD and TEMP_EN bit in the TEMP_CFG_REF (1Fh).  I'm reading the OUT_3_L (0Ch) and OUT_3_H (0Dh) at an ODR of 50 Hz.  The OUT_3_L seems to be random while OUT_3_H looks like valid data.  Three different chips measure (OUT_3_H)  as follows FA, F6 and FE.  This translates to -6, -9 and -2.  The Datasheet describes the TSDr as Temperature sensor output change vs temperature with a resolution of 1 digital/C.  So my assumption is that the translated values of -6, -9 and -2 are delta (changes) from some reference temperature (possible at MFG calibration).  The ambient temperature in the room is 23 C (~73 F).  My assumption per Datasheet was that the reference temperature is 25 C but this only correlated to the 3rd value.  Is there a reference temperature that is differe

Hello, ST community,Recently, our team has been working with the LIS3DH accelerometer with a STM32WLE5 MCU. Some of the requisites we have for the project are: it works with a 400 Hz, 16 g Full Scale, High Resolution mode, High Pass filter activated, I2C communication, and the interrupt threshold must be small - due to the nature of the 16 g function, we went with the lowest possible value, 186 mg according to the datasheet. The problem is that the interrupt simply doesn't work with those configurations: when we set the interruption duration to 0 or 2.5 ms, the interrupt pin is always high, but if the duration is any higher than that, the interrupt never triggers. This issue doesn't happen when we set the INTx_THS register to any value above 0x01 - 0x02 has a normal behavior regardless of the INTx_DURATION written. This issue also happens when we set the Full Scale to 8 g. Is this a known issue or am I doing something wrong? The basic code idea is written as it follows:1 - Factory rese

Hi,I am using a LSM6DSO and ESP32 to read it.I am handling the FIFO FULL interrupt by adding a new task to a queue in order to print a message and in the main loop I am reading the buffer of the sensor.It is working perfectly at 833Hz, but if I set it to 1667Hz, I get the FIFO FULL interrupt just once and then it stops.I am thinking that the problem may be from ESP32, but what stops the sensor to give another interrupt once I emptied the FIFO? I am using a logic analyzer and I can see that I have the interrupt, the SPI FIFO reading and no interrupt after that.Regards,Gabriel

Hi all, I am implementing the following GitHub code to initiate sensor fusion in the LSM6DSV16X sensor chip. The board will communicate via UART however there seems to be an issue reading and writing to registers via the HAL driver functions provided. I am using the NUCLEO-F411RE as recommended in the code with the ISK4A1 expansion board. If anyone knows what might be wrong with the HAL memory read and memory write functions please let me know. Could it be an incorrect I2C address being called? Hello,I have implemented LIS2DW12 driver into our product and self-test procedure according to the AN5038 (as a minor difference, instead of waiting 100ms in the process, I use 5 newest samples from FIFO after FIFO gets filled with 30 samples, i.e. discard 25 first samples and then take average over 5 last).After some testing we found that 99% of the time the self-test reports success, but there are some static positions where the self-test could fail.From what I have found, failure happens only on the third axis (z) and only on one test polarity at once (when retesting the same position on different test polarity, then it passes). At the same time, when I place the sensor in mirrored position, then I get a pass on previously failing polarity test and at the same time get failure on other polarity (still, the same axis).The problem is repeatable on multiple units and the output pattern is the same. Greetings to everyone, I would like to ask you for help. I want to track GPS in a closed position. I get latitude and longitude information from GPS in an open area. In a closed position, I want to get location information with the accelerometer and speedometer. When the object is going straight, the data coming from the sensor is very healthy. Hi all ,                I have stored IMU quaternion data into the SD card. I did use the Algo builder tool for that. I couldn't get the samples in configured 100Hz. Kindly help to store all samples in 100hz rate.

Good dayI am using LSM6DSO with 3V3 VDD and 1V8 VDDIO.Can the supplies(VDD and VDDIO) be ON/OFF independently or is there a requirement for one of the two to be ON before the other?In my instance the VDD might come on before the VDDIO and in other circumstance the VDD might be switched OFF and VDDIO might remain ON.The device functions in I2C mode. Does CS have to be HIGH when VDD is applied or can CS be changed/set dynamically after VDD was applied?Would this pose a problem?Thank you.

Hi, I need clarification about interrupt on ILPS22QS barometric pressure sensor.My test project involves LIS3MDL and ILPS22QS connected to MSDA and MSCL on LSM6SDO, which is connected to an mcu in 4-wire SPI interface, to use sensor hub on LSM6DSO (I've only come up with schematics so far). My concern is that LIS3MDL has INT pin that can be used for data ready and ILPS22QS has built-in interrupt generator block according to page 19 on AN5764 but no interrupt pin on the IC, which I am not familiar with. What I want to ask is,1. Is it possible to send data ready signal from ILPS22QS to LSM6DSO for sensor hub operation?2. If yes, is sending data ready signal done through master i2c between ILPS22QS and LSM6DSO in this case, or maybe another pin on ILPS22QS can be used as interrupt pin for DRDY alternatively? If there is anything I am mistaken about, please feel free to correct me.Thank you in advance,

Is it possible to configure the LIS2DH12 so that it can receive a clock from the host (master) instead of the clock being generated by the LIS2DH12?  I'm looking a the quality of the LIS2DH generated clock and it is spectrally not pure and has a significant frequency error for my application.  

Hello,I have STEVAL-MKI236A (ASM330LHB - IMU) evaluation board, How can I make use of the UNICO-GUI to interface with the board. I do see the board listed on the GUI but how will I be able to interface with gui with just I2C without using the MOTHERBOARDs.Thanks!

I want to calculate the displacement using the MotionX library with the LSM6DSR sensor on the stm32. For example, I want to write a code that calculates the displacement when the sensor moves 20 cm to the right on the table or calculates the displacement when it moves 20 cm to the left. As a result of my research, I found the MotionFx library, which belongs to the company ST. My problem is that I use this library. I don't know what functions to use, I would appreciate any help.

When I used the IIC communication mode of h3lis200dl, I connected the 7th pin SDO directly to the ground. Since the SDO pin has a pull-up resistor inside, the current is too large (about 60uA). I would like to ask if there is an unopened register to connect the SDO Is it closed? The product has been sent to the customer and the hardware cannot be changed. I hope someone can help answer it as soon as possible.

I'm using lsm6dsv, and must calibrate IMU everytime after power on. Can I read calibration data once, and restore to IMU without calibration?
