I want to use flash as eeprom by using hal library on stm32l476rg.How can I create the flash_read() and flash_write() functions? (functions will read and write data of type uint32_t)

In order to make the printf function accessible from other libraries, I create a retarget library where I call stdio and write my own implementation of _write function using UART peripheral. So when I want to use printf in another library. I add include "dev_serial.h" and then is possible to use it. ​However I am trying to make the same thing in iar. First of all, I now that iar use fputc instead of _write. So, I follow the example UART printf stm32g0cb and then call dev_serial.h​ but printf is not showing nothing in UART port. Also I activate in iar option the full option for printf. But I continue without see nothing in UART port.

Hi All, I'm using a STM32F030x4 that has no EEPROM but I don't want to implement EEPROM emulation on the Main Flash as I only need to 'save' a couple of bytes during power off.Is it possible to use the 'User data option byte' @ 0x1FFF_F804 as a non-volatile memory store location?I've read the datasheet but I am still not sure if this User Option byte can (or should) be used in such a way. Thanks.

I have a project which needs to store the state of the program on an eeprom.Unfortunately there is no built in eeprom on stm32f7508-dk board.I have bought M24LR64 chip for i2c eeprom.Unfortunately the program get crashed on read operation (only when M24LR64 is connected) no error during init and write don't know it really wrote.I have found i2c initialization on the eeprom bsp library so i do nothing on the cubemx.Please help me to solve this.Anyone have working external eeprom example for stm32f7508.Thank you.

As shown below the screen, when I am running the MCU application, it is running without any flaws. However, when I notice the TraceExceptions window on Keil IDE, noticed a large number of hard faults occurring. But these faults do not trigger fault handlers. Why does MCU trigger these faults without interrupting the application?Please share your suggestion to trace this exception.Platform details: STM32F427VI, Keil RTX, SPL library.

I am using stm32f4. I have a hardfault error at sometimes, when I write new code in to the flash. I am trying to establish a hardware-in-the-loop setup with a STM32F429I-DISC1 with Waijung blockset. But I have a problem trying to establish UART communication. I dont receive any data coming out of the microcontroller with this method.The host and the target simulink simulations are given in the figure below. I have installed the waijung_18.11a blockset.Firstly, I wanted to try setup the UART Setup-block with certain settings, but stumbled on the following: I can't set it to UART1 and get the following error given in the figure below. The options to set the Tx pin and the Rx pin are also limited. So I tried to establish the communication with USART3, PD8 and PD9 by first building the target and running the host. And got the following error given in the figure below. According to the datasheet this pins can be used for UART: https://www.st.com/resource/en/datasheet/dm00071990.pdf . Hi everyone ;I am having a strange issue with IAR . I configured the mcu via cubemx and generated it then I build all the files but I got the errors in the attached files when I try to download the code into the MCU . But I don't get any issuse with the exact same configurations with KEIL . Where do I go wrong ? Any comment and approach would be appreciated so much .

I'm working with MAT-TARGET for several months by now and it is a great tool.In the past few days I encountered a problem regarding the maximum amount of bytes i can send throw the SPI Block (using Simulink R2019b) , while sending & receiving 4 bytes work well, when I try to increase the amount of bytes farther ( more then 4 bytes) I cannot uncheck the receive only box, meaning the SPI works only in receiving mode and cannot send data that is more then 32bits (4 Bytes in the SPI block configuration).I was wondering if you can help me deal with that issue.The SPI is configured to be full duplex master , 6.75Mb of baud rate, 8 bit data length.Thanks in advanced!Greg.

Hello everyone.Any tips/pointers about where to look for info about how to write an arduino library using stm32's hal?Im a bit confused/scared about mixing c++ and c. (also scared of arduino underthehood non chip specific configs) All stm32 related libraries i see are just .h/.c FILES, is there any speciall precaution or raindance i need to do in order to add C written library to my arduino project?Could i get away with just copypasting together some cubeMX autogenerated init code and including the required hal.h stuff?

Hello, i am currently working on a sensorless motor control. Therefor I am using STM32 mat/target for generating code from simulink. My goal is to use field oriented control in the low rpm range and switch to blockcommutation for higher revolutions.Now I am wondering how to disable the PWM Channels for the time I would like to analyse my back emf on the passiv phase. I cannot find a checkbox to enable an input port for enable disable channels. Because I am currently using the CHx_N signal and dead time it is not possible to set the duty to zero. Of course it is possible to write the code by myself, but would love to automate it. How am I supposed to realize this? Thanks a lot!

When using a TIM timebase (rather than systick), the PGSERR bit in the FLASH.SR register gets set after calling HAL_InitTick. Using the debugger, I found that the specific line that causes the flash error is "__HAL_TIM_CLEAR_IT(htim, TIM_IT_CC2)". This appears to be the case when using different timers as the timebase as well.I am using STM32CubeIDE 1.7.0, STM32Cube FW_G4 V1.4.0, and GNU Tools for STM32 (9-2020-q2-update). My target is the Nucelo G431RB.

I'm using an STM32L151 and I write values to EEPROM. I have a timer interrupt that executes at 1000Hz. But I see that the interrupt lags when I write to EEPROM.How can I avoid this? Should I place my timer interrupt handler in RAM? Would that work?
