Power management

I want to buy a wireless charging IC like STWBC86JR, but the data sheet says that it should be within the standard frequency of 110kHZ to 205kHZ, so can't I use it with a resonant frequency of 13.56MHz? Is there an IC available on that frequency? Is there a way to design an additional circuit and communicate at that frequency?

Hi,We have PCB where STSPIN840 is connected to PIC32MK1024MCF100 and DC motors connected to respective OUTX pins. Getting PWM,PH(high),EN(high) when we are checking signals in CRO but OUTX1,OUTX2 both as 3.3v or one 3.3v another 12v sometimes. According to datasheet one should be grounded and another should be VS(12V) depending on direction we are setting. What possibly could go wrong in our configurations that we are not able to drive motor

Hi. I am currently evaluating the STEVAL-ASTRA1B as a low-power LoRaWAN-GPS tracker. My goal is to have the device wake up every 10 minutes to send a GPS position.I am however facing some problems getting the current consumption down to the advertised uA levels mentioned in UM3019.Before BTN2 is pressed, I measure 3.2uA. However, when I follow the STANDBY_RTC example for the WB55 (https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeWB/tree/master/Projects/P-NUCLEO-WB55.Nucleo/Examples/PWR/PWR_STANDBY_RTC), I am not able to get it lower than 2.2mA after BTN2 has been pressed once. I have also tried the stm32_lpm_if.c PWR_EnterStopMode() functions, and get the same results. I have also tried disabling VREG1 and VREG2 to disable peripherals, and disabled debug in low power mode. UM3019 tells me that "In the STEVAL-ASTRA1B, the current consumption in low power is optimized by removing SB943.". However, I am unable to locate it on my board. I also guess it would disable the BTN2 as a wakeup

Hi all,   In SCTHS300N75G3AG Sic power MOSFET data sheet mentioned that 8.8mΩ Rds constant over maximum temperature. But in graphs Rds(on) reached to above 1.3mΩ. So, which value we need to consider for power dissipation calculation.

Hello, Sorry if this post has the wrong label/location. I have a problem with L6207 dual bridge motor driver. I am using stm32f031k6 mocrocontroller and L6207 to control two motors. While using the devices on evaluation boards they worked perfectly. The problem appeared when I tried using L6207 without evaluation board - I copied eval board circut onto my PCB and started tests. And then the problem occured. No matter what signal I send from microcontroller to L6207 one motors works perfectly, while on the other one there is always positive voltage on both output pins. I tried connecting the L6207 input pins directly to GDN, but still I got 13V on output pins. In the attachment I share schematic of my L6207 circut. The out A pins work correctly, but I always get positive voltage on pins out B.  

Hello,Ive designed a PCB with a STUSB4700QTR as a source following the datasheet ref design. The scope was to use the board as a charger with PD.When I plug a USB C phone on my source connector, the board deliver 2.2A at 9V on VBUS and the phone charge.The issue is that when nothing is plugged to the source connector, the voltage on the VBUS is 0V. The default 5V on the output is not present.I measured the voltage between the transistors T2 and T3 and it is around 5V, the T3 block the current (Is open)I also checked other PD source devices and they deliver a default 5V on their ouput even if nothing is connected. Because logicaly if a device is completly depleted, it is not able to communicate via the CC lines until its internal PD IC is on. So for me the STUSB4700 should provide a default 5V.So am I missunderstanding how the IC and the PD should work? Can someone help me please?Thank you :)

For this PART there is no Stock and cost details, how much Lead time it will take ?

I have read the STEF01 datasheet looking for how STEF01 will respond to output short-circuit hard. After reading it I have no clue. What is the reaction time of the fuse to short circuit? Other vendos provide such informations.Second issue is that there is no info about SOA of internal pass element. There are no clues to guess that power limiter will be triggered or not.Other people also asked such questions on this forum, no response so far. Please respond or add missing data to datasheet.

Hi,I have kit STEVAL-SPIN3201 and now i have a expirience with controling my motor. But i never was able to start board without USB cable. It's seems like board need USB voltage for start microcontroller. So it can not start without USB. But if i then remove the USB, it works. But if i push the RESET button later, it does not work again until restarting kit with USB. So i need understand why it becouse in future i want to design my pcb.

Hi, I am designing a boost converter based on stw33n60m2, its 2.5kW 420Vout and 250Vin 5 amp Iout. the diode I am using is SIC schottky diode(very less reverse recovary). The issue is that I am facing mosfet failue at around 450v VDS (I dont observe too much overshoots). gate drive voltage is 14Vgs and I am using split resistor for turn on(4.7ohm) and turn off (2.2ohm) .I have made turn on slower and turn off faster. The mosfet just fails even at light load. I have taken care to see that inductor wont saturate. Any help is appreciated.

Hello,I want to use the STPM34 board for the metrology of a voltage line with a fairly large voltage value (in the order of kV) since it is commanded to use this module for the metrology of all voltage domains .The problem that the nominal voltage of STPM34 is only 230V.Is there a way to solve this problem?Is there anyone who has used STPM34 can help me?Thank you.

Hi,Looking at the features of intelligent stepper motor driver (L6470), I have decided to use it for an application where I will be having 16 stepper motor driverswhich will be controlled by single STM32 MCU. I am done with board design and to start with, we have purchased evaluation boards of L6470 and STM32 MCU.Both boards are integrated for controlling two stepper motors.While I run the stepper motor, I see that, motor runs for @30 seconds and then stops because L6470 is getting heated.I have done below homework before raising this query on this forum.1. Studied AN4144 and done tunning of L6470 parameters for the motor we are using. These parameters are feed to L6470 through SPI bus from STM32 MCU.2. Calculated parameters like KVAL, ST_SLP, INT_SPEED, FN_SLP etc.3. We used SPINFamily Evaluation Tool 3.2 to calculate above parameters.Below are motor parameters.Motor phase resistance: 1.2 OhmMotor phase inductance: 4.2 mHStep angle: 1.8 degreesL6470 Step Mode: 1/8Max_SPEED: 3500Supply

Hi, i have a issue when trying to synchronize 2 and more stepper motors.Issue:The issue is that when software send RUN command with the same argument (speed value), after several revolutions motors tend to spin with some offset which is growing really slowly but is visible.Context:There are 2 devices with custom PCB, L6470 (1 per device) and stepper motor. I send some UDP packet in order to engage sending command to L6470, therefore all motors start on the same time. All electronic parts on devices are the same (including MCUs), software is also the same, even stepper motors are the same. I use 128 microstepping, other config values are on default. Command are sent successfully, so SPI communication is fine.Question:Where could be the problem? Is this voltage varation on L6470, stepper motor imperfection or any other factor i am not aware of?Thank you in advanceTomek 

I use L6235Q to control the Maxon small DC brushless motor with Hall, and now I have the following issues:1. Can we achieve sinusoidal signal control of motor rotation. I want to control the motor to rotate forward for 3 turns and then reverse for another 3 turns. I am using the FEW control port for PWM wave generation and SPWM wave input to L6235Q. Unable to implement. The circuit diagram is as follows. (Refer to document DT0001, using PWM control, the motor will shake at 50% duty cycle.)2. If I cannot use SPWM waves for control, how should I implement my functions?I hope to receive your help, thank you very much!
