ST25 NFC/RFID tags and readers

Hi,I'm developing firmware for embedded with NFC chip ST25DV04KC (ISO15693 type 5).SDK Discovery based on CR95HF is used for development NFC interface. SDK included DLL for creating applications on PC.Can anyone recommend industrial (device ready for user use) NFC Reader that can communicate with NFC type 5 tags, connected via USB and supported by SDK for Windows and Android?Thanks!

As I clear the mailbox, and read it, mblength is 0, as expected. Dear Sir,We use ST25R3911B IC for Rfid card detection.Normally library works fine.But sometimes, in rare case, library hangs up in very initial stage during find the new card present detection.Our system is battery operated system. So, whenever we needed we just power up the system and after 150 msec of power up we try to find the new card.Mostly its hang up in very early stage, means if detection working fine initially then system working properly but if hangs up on start up it will never recover up from that stage and code hanged up. So please suggest us how to overcome with this hanging problem of the code.  Note :- Supply generate through 3.3V LDO - 500mA output.

Can you provide more specific codes for the ST25R3918? I need to program the chip for both card emulator mode, and reader mode.I'm highly interested in knowing the correct registers configuration as well as the NDEF protocol.Best regards,Cairo

Hi, I am new to NFC and trying to make writing/reading from an NFC work.I would like to read/write to st25tv tag and I use st25r39 reader IC. I have successfully ported the RFAL and NDEF library provided by ST. I have used ndef_demo example to start with. I run the application and was expecting to enter the if loop as shown below. Unfortunately nothing is happening. Also, the IRQ pin of st25r39 is not connected to the MCU. Does RFAL library needs this pin to be connected to the MCU ? Can the RFAL library work without this pin ?

Hello We're using the st25dv64kc 12pin package on a custom board and it is wired as shown below to our MCU which is the atxmega128a1.Our product is battery powered so we keep the current draw from the battery minimal during long inactivity periods.Normal current draw is 60uA but if the st25dvs interrupts are enabled the current draw goes up to 170uA even if the LPD is set to high and the VCC is set to low. If the st25dv starts up with interrupts disabled the draw remains 60uA but if the interrupts are enabled and afterwards disabled without power cycling the the device the draw does not goes down and stays at around 170uA.The VDCG is connected directly to the main power source at 5V.How can I get close to the stated under 1uA draw in ultra low power mode?Thanks,Alex

Hi, it's not clear the deliverable power of the ST25R3916B. it seems 1.6W in balance output configuration. On the datasheet is written only that there is a dynamic power output, on the first page then no more other information, and there are no registers about the output power it seems..I have to do a connection P2P between 2 eval NUCLEO-NFC08A1, but i get only 9cm of maximum distance range. it's a poor result for 1.6W...is there the possibility to control manually the power output?how is it possible to increse the distance range in P2P mode (without changing the antenna)?i'm waiting your reply soonthanksLogantenna

Hey all,It is a very basic question and I would appreciate some help on this. I am working with M24LR-Discovery Tool kit  and I want to detect my own tag with the RF Transceiver. I downloaded the  Software source code STSW-95HF002. and understood whats happening in it. Now, I edited the code as per my requirements and want to build it. I imported the Files in STM32CUME IDE (the downloaded source code does  not come with ".project"  file) and want to build the project and again program the controller. How can I do it? I am not able to find the appropriate build configuration for the project. I imported the project as File -> Import -> General -> Projects from Folder and ArchiveHow can I do the same for TrueStudio? Just some small backgrounfd: The tool kit comes with a MB1054B-CR95HF Transceiver which has a STM32F103C8T6 controller onboard and I just have to program that. I opened a ticket in the ST online support system and was pointed to this forum for support.I have a device that uses the ST25DV64K and I'm talking to it using the ST25R3911B-DISCO board and the corresponding Discovery GUI from ST. The documentation for the tag chip says that any addressed request will not be executed if the UID does not match the tag's UID. When I send an addressed GPO interrupt request (looks like 22A902[uid]80), all tags that receive the request - not just the matching UID - send an interrupt. I have confirmed that the GPO configuration registers are set correctly (0x84, RF_INTERRUPT_EN and GPO_EN enabled, all other bits disabled), so - as far as I'm able to determine - this appears to be an issue with the chip, as I can't see any indication that the DISCO board could be causing this behavior.This misbehavior is causing failures in our testing, so if anyone from ST could advise on how to correct the issue, we would appreciate any available information.

Hi,I have a use case where I need to read and write to an NFC tag. The read and write operation will always be done by an MCU (via st25R) and not by any other device (eg:- android device).Should I use the NDEF format for the data in this case ? What is the advantage of using NDEF ?

Hello everyone, I m trying to create my own NFC-Reader Board with a ST25R3916B. With the help of the x-Nucleo NFC08A1I designed my own shematic. After ordering my custome curcit board and assembling all parts I tried to get it running but it does not work. I checked every connection betwen the pcb and the parts, the voltage and compared my shematic with the shematic from the datasheet from the x_Nucleo-NFC08A1. For comparison, I have a NFC08A1 board which works very well. It can't be the code, because I use the same code on boath boards. My problem is with the SPI communication because it doesn't even start.
