STM32 MCUs Boards and hardware tools

Hi all.I'm using STM32H747I-DISCO bord.According to user manual, Pin No.1 in Pmod™ is connected to PA11/PA0.And Pin No.1 in STMod+ is also connected to PA11/PA0.Then can I use PA11 as USART1_CTS via Pmod™ Pin No.1, and PA0 as GPIO via STMod+  Pin No.1 concurrently?Thanks in advance.

I created a custom STM32 board for a motor controller, but I am having trouble even programming it using the STLink V2. I am using the STM32C071KBT6N MCU that I purchased from Mouser. I soldered it onto my board using drag soldering. I soldered other components near it with hot air.I have tried to power the board through an external 3.3V power supply and through the STLink itself.This STM32 model has the same pin for PA14-BOOT0 and SWCLK. But I just directly connected the pin to the header for STLink V2. I also do not have an external crystal oscillator to connect because I wanted to keep it simple and just use the internal clock.I get this error in STM32 Cube Programmer.And these are the settings I am currently using.I have tried different combinations of settings and have held the reset button down, but I still end up with the same error.I am not sure if something is wrong with my design, the chip that I received was bad, or I somehow destroyed the chip while soldering.I ho

The power cable and the USB cable for kit interface are connected properly.When I connect the interface cable as per the the quick start guide, the LabTool does not recognize any port. If I go to settings - port: I can find no port to chooseIf I go to settings - COM port - Scan port: Again, nothing happens.In my windows device manager, I can see two new devices which don't have the appropriate driver, there are named: Enhanced COM port, and standard COM port. #evalkitst8500-1 #smartgrid-labtool

Hi i want to enable Power module (Generally PWR EN) on which bus i can enable this bit in can of NUCLEO-H723ZGas for reference manual is used RM0468 Also if you find this please give me link to that data sheet and secion number as i can not find it in this.Thanks  

Is there a development board for specifically STM32F103C6T6A chip, (LQFP 48). I only see 64 pin version on this site. If there is no such board, what are my options? I specifically want to avoid using bootleg versions of the chip, so want to avoid using the "blue pill".If there are no dev board versions for this chip, are there recommendations or samples of dev boards for it that someone can recommend?Thank you.

Hello everyone,I am working on a custom board using an STM32F103 (LQFP48) and connecting it via ST-LINK V2 using the SWD interface.However, when I try to connect, STM32CubeProgrammer reports:Error: No STM32 target found!The log shows that the ST-LINK is recognized, the voltage reads ~3.16V, but the MCU cannot be connected.Additional details:- ST-LINK V2 wiring: 3V3, GND, SWDIO, SWCLK, NRST- Tried “Connect under reset” mode and reduced SWD frequency to 50 kHz — still the same error- The board has a 10kΩ pull-up resistor on NRST and a 100nF capacitor to GND- Power supply is stable at 3.3V- Continuity test from the SWD header to MCU pins shows SWDIO (PA13), SWCLK (PA14), and NRST are all connected- MCU is brand new and has no firmware flashed yetMy questions:1. Besides wiring and power supply issues, what other reasons could cause ST-LINK to fail detecting the MCU?2. Is there any way to check if the chip is locked at RDP Level 2 when we can’t connect at all?3. Are there recommended method

Split from: Nucleo-H7S3L8 Board in Arduino IDE - this is a new question.Hi @Andrew Neil Trying to send text via USART3 (which is linked to the virtual com ST LINK USB, correct?)  and show it with Putty. But as I see the USART3  in the MX is disabled (grayed out) that I cannot configure it. Any help with that?  

Hello,Until yesterday I was able to connect my ST-LINK V3SET via SWD to my STM32F411E-DISCO board without any problems. My setup is the STM32 extension for VSCode, where I debug using the STM32CubeProgrammer CLI. Everything was working fine, but now when I try to flash the program, the target is not detected. The log shows:ST-LINK FW : V3J16M8B5S1 Board : STLINK-V3SET Voltage : 0.00V Error: Unable to get core ID Error: No STM32 target found! If your product embeds Debug Authentication, please perform a discovery using Debug AuthenticationIf I open STM32CubeProgrammer, I also cannot connect to the board when pressing Connect. However, I found that if I select Hardware Reset, the connection works, and if I perform a full chip erase, flashing from VSCode works (although very slowly). On the second attempt, it fails again.The log always reports the voltage as 0.00V, which should not be the case. I have already tried changing the power supply and USB cables, but nothing changes.Any ideas on

Hello... can anyone advise on the difference between F446RE and F446ZE? i just found out the USART to USB VCP was shifted to USART3 instead of USART2 in the new ZE. Can anyone advise on any other difference? 

I was able to get CDC_Standalone in STM32CubeH7RS running on Nucleo-H7S3L8.Next, I am trying to get USB FS CDC running based on the Templates_board project.First, I need to modify the .ioc file to display the COM port in the Windows Device Manager. However, the USB regulator ready flag (PWR_CSR2_USB33RDY) is not set within HAL_PWREx_EnableUSBVoltageDetector(), causing a timeout.I have attached the current .ioc file.Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

HI Team,I am Pranathi, I am looking for a board and MCU chip for my project, I want to implement a CAN protocol between 2 STM32 boards with FSM (finite state machine) and RTOS included in it. Additionally I will be using a sesnor and an actuator on each STM node. Can anyone help me in chosing which MCU and STM32 board I should be using for this aim? I am trying to use the CAN Peripheral on my STM32F746G-Disco board. I am using a Waveshare SN65HVD230 transceiver from Amazon. Hi, I have an STM NUCLEO-H753ZI board. On the website (see https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/nucleo-h753zi.html#overview) it says something about a "MIPI20 compatible connector with trace signals". What exactly is meant by that? My board only has the MIPI10 connector without the trace signals. Is there a way to get those signals from the board? Best regards, lando

However, I haven't been able to find any boards that directly support eSIM integration. Hello everyone, I hope you're doing well. I'm currently working on the STM32H747I-DISCO board, implementing SBSFU on it. I accidentally put a PCROP Protection, which does not allow me to erase the flash memory sector 0, which corresponds to 0x08000000 of the flash memory, and the settings that I'm seeing on the Cube Programmer for the PCROP are: PROT_AREA_START1: value: 0x6, address: 0x08000600, and for the PROT_AREA_END1: value: 0xff, address: 0x0800ffff. I tried to change the option bytes, but no success. Then I tried to connect the board through the STM32 Cube programmer via hardware reset mode, so that it could go into the hardware reset state upon connection, but that didn't do the job either, and this caused me another problem, the ST-LINK error (DEV_TARGET_NOT_HALTED). Now I don't know what to do about these two problems, or how I might be able to solve them. If anyone knows anything related to solving these kinds of problems, that would be a big help.&n

I tried to use the Nucleo H723ZG and DWM3000evb, but I couldn't control the RESET pin.To debug this problem, I check the basic pin control, using only while(1){    HAL_GPIO_TogglePin(GPIOF, GPIO_PIN_13);    HAL_Delay(1000);}However, it doesn't work and the output of PF13 is always 0V.It is same with the previous problem, that the RESET pin with output open drain mode keeps 3.3V.How can I debug this problem? Thanks.ps. I understand that the ADE9430 evaluation board is designed to work with the STM32 NUCLEO-F413ZH, and I intend to use that same MCU.In my setup, I have 24 current transformers (CTs) and would like to perform real-time harmonic analysis on all 24 channels using the ADSW-PQ-CLS library (or an equivalent FFT approach).Given this:Is the STM32F413ZH powerful enough to process harmonic data for 24 channels concurrently or near-real-time?Would you recommend moving to a higher-performance STM32 (e.g., STM32H7 or STM32F7) for this task?Are there any reference designs or benchmarks available for high-channel-count harmonic calculations using STM32?I greatly appreciate any insights or recommendations on MCU suitability or system architecture.Maryam
