STM32 MCUs Boards and hardware tools

I just started using and learning how to use the STM32 Nucleo L476RG Board. I am trying to integrate UART into STM32 to display text in Tera Term by using this guide (https://wiki.st.com/stm32mcu/wiki/STM32StepByStep:Step3_Introduction_to_the_UART).However, after building and running the project to my board as well as connecting it to Tera Term, output text is still not displaying in Tera Term. I configured my board by activating USART2 with matching default parameters as Tera Term, and is connected to PC through USB A-to-Mini B cable. Does anyone have a solution? Thanks! 

I have designed a costimazed PCB board based on NECLEO-H743Z12 board, and I have removed the build in STLink debugger, hoping that I will use the external STLink/V2 programmer via SWD. I have followed the schematics data sheet and connected pins [3.3V, GND, TMS, TCK, SWO] directly to H7 chip pins [PA13, PA14, PB3, VDD,GND]. I’m using the STLink software tool to detect the chip but till now I’m constantly getting error messages that the target chip is not detected. What am I missing, am I doing something wrong ? Is it possible to program this chip directly? and how ? I will really appreciate your help as I’m new and this is my first customize design.thanks !

I was looking at STM32N6, and it says it has 1G networking. Problem is, chip used is 100M. So how can they say that development kit supports 1G ?LAN8742A-CZ-TR chip used inside both devkits:Same goes to HR timer, it says on datasheet, it does support high resurrection timer, while no mention anywhere about itIs there nay more information regarding timer and does devkit support 1G ? I was hoping it could, since I could make IP camera or something similar. 

Can this product STSPIN32F0TR be pressed with thermal conductive sheet? What is the maximum pressure you can handle?

Hi all, I got trouble with updating firmware on Nucleo f103rb board (ST-Link/V2) I used STM32CubeProgrammer to update firmware.  First of all, I checked connection between PC and board by clicking the green "Connect" Button, and the connection was good.(ST_LINK configuration section showed serial number)  Then I click Firmware upgrade Button and clicked "Open in update mode" in ST Link UPgrade tool. Every time I click "Open in update mode" to update firmware, the tool says "Device [mydeviceNo] not found, No device connected." And LD1(on Red LED the board) starts blinking.LD1 was not blinked Before Open in update mode. (The red light was just ON without blinking)  Please Help me with this problem.. 

Hello, I configured the STM32L4P5G-DK project with STM32CubeIDE according to the AN5050 for Octal-SPI PSRAM. At debugging state, the process was halt at SystemClock_Config. The infinite loop looks caused by while(READ_BIT(RCC->CR, RCC_CR_HSERDY) == 0U) after __HAL_RCC_HSE_CONFIG(RCC_OscInitStruct->HSEState); step. The ioc file and main c-code is attached. Please help me to solve this issue. Thanks.

Hello!I am using the onboard STLINK on the NUCLEO-U031R8 to program a STM32U0 on a custom PCB. I use the SWD interface connected over jumper wires and programming works fine. I would like to enable printf for debug purposes, and since SWV is not available for this series, I am trying to connect USART2 from my PCB to the STLINK using fly wires. However, I can't seem to find where the TX and RX pins are exposed on the STLINK. The jumpers and CN3 mentioned in section 6.8 of UM1724 also don't match up. On further inspection, it seems that some Nucleo boards have the TX and RX pins exposed as a header, but my particular one does not. Is there a way for me to use VCP this way with this Nucleo board? Thank you in advance! 

I am using the STM32L4 B-L475E-IOT01A board with the following modules:Wi-Fi module Inventek system ISM43362-M3G-L44Bluetooth module SPBTLE-RFDocumentation: https://www.st.com/resource/en/user_manual/um2153-discovery-kit-for-iot-node-multichannel-communication-with-stm32l4-stmicroelectronics.pdf The problem is that currently both are using SPI3 and both need different bits and prescalers to work properly. Therefore, I am trying to use USART3 instead of SPI3 for the WiFi module (since the BLE module has only one possible interface, SPI3).My question: How to use the WiFi module via USART, so that I can use SPI for the BLE module? Or are there any other ways to use both modules simultaneously?  

I want NUCLEO-U083RC board able to receive data from Huskylens for colour/object recognition project. I did manage to run a demo code but still can't receive data from Huskylens. I'm searching for the ST-Link V2 driver to use on win11arm running on parallels on a MacMini M4.The CubeProgrammer 2.19 directly installed on M4 macOS is properly working with the ST-Link-V2 or some nucleo boards for only programming use. But because I use IAR embedded Workbench for development and debugging I must have a working solution on the Win11arm platform (parallels) of my M4 machine. The driver of the CubeProgrammer 2.19 installation on win11arm platform don't work (windows device manager show: no driver installed). Is there anywhere a stable working solution from STM?

I am using a STM32L4R9ZGJ6 that has the following issue: When it is powered up and a SMBUS slave device is connected, the CLK line over heats and destroys the processor. This is the device we are plugging into the board:  This is the STM32 with the CLK and DATA lines shown on PB6 and PB7:What could be happening that causes the processor to fail? Immediately upon plugin the STM32 gets red hot and burns. 

HI,I have a custom board with STM32F405 MCU, the task is to enable PWM, set frequency, read ADC and Set DAC out voltage using CAN commands. Everything was working fine until I enabled the DAC channels, two channels were set to max DAC value(4095) and the observed the voltages as 3.02v on both the channels(Initially channel 1 was not worked, there was a ESD diode connected across channel 1 and 2, only after removing it worked). During testing different DAC values, the MCU suddenly started resetting(logs in tera term repeats) and the input power dropped to 1.5v from 12v. There was no physical short happened during testing and this type of MCU behavior won't happen just because of short. Something happened which caused damage to MCU, rest of the board circuitry is fine. I request a support in understanding the issue that what could have gone wrong, Is there any special case to handle the DAC section? Hello,I am working in STM32H745I-DISCO since January. Yesterday I have disconected the USB of CN14 connector ( I used it for programming/debuging and powering). This morning I have connected de USB but the board doesn´t work. After test de voltages I have realised that the st-linkc3 does not pull up the pin T_PWR_EN of component U24.I have tried to connect through stm32cubeprogramer but Error: no debug probe detected appears.There are any way to recover this?Thank you in advance.

Hello, i have an issue with my board's vcp : stm32f407g-disc1 / MB997Ethe st link port works perfectly , but the micro usb port ( vcp ) is not working , and yes i'm sure that it's a data cable not only charging, the interesting point is that before few months it was working on my laptop with the same cable, i can find two of them st-link vcp , and vcp , but now when i plug in the both cables , only i get st-link in the device manager,i didn't make any update or removing drivers or that kind of stuffhere is what it's supposed to be in the device manager list :  and here is what i get now : ( only the st-link one ) any idea how to solve it ? or if there's a specific driver that needs to be reinstalled or idk..

Seems like STLINK V3SET does not support CANFD, but STLINK-V3-BRIDGE API has CANFD functions in it. So which device supports CANFD? Is there newer version of STLINKV3SET that has CANFD in it?

Yesterday I tried to generate a 1 MHz PWM signal, everything is set up correctly, I have a soldered wire on my PA0 pin, and it used to work like yesterday, it generated a pretty decent signal, global interrupt is on, parameter settings are set as well Everything is set up exactly like the settings I did yesterday that worked, and now today it just isn't working, it is generating like 3V (Now it's not even doing that when I tried while typing this) but it's not making a PWM signal, I have tried different pins but still not doing anything, I deleted the previous project that worked so I can analyze it but these are pretty much the same exact settings that I have used.
