I'm trying to implement the USBX Audio class using the board STM32U5A9J-DK and the USBC port present on the board.I've opened the default project from TouchGFX selecting the ThreadX one. I then opened the .ioc file in the CubeMX and activated the USB_OTG_HS in Device_Only Mode. I then went into the Middleware section and activated the USBX Core System, Device CoreStack HS and Device Controllers HS and then, under the Device Class HS I've turned ON the Audio Class.I then copied the code in this example (usbx/Projects/STM32H743I-EVAL/Applications/USBX/Ux_Device_Audio).The code correctly compiles and execute (the GUI still works and entering into the debug mode I'm seeing the USBX has been initialize).The issue comes when I connect the board using the USBC to the PC. I'm seeing the LED in the board turning ON, basically confirming the USBC port is connected but, the callback that should execute the function USBD_AUDIO_Activate when the USB Audio class is attached doesn't fi

Hello everyone,I’m working on an STM32H7S3L8H6H with two XSPI interfaces:XSPI1 (Quad-SPI) connects to an external PSRAM. XSPI2 (Octo-SPI) drives an external NOR flash, from which my application code executes directly.In my bootloader I configure both and start the external memory manager:MX_XSPI1_Init();MX_XSPI2_Init();MX_EXTMEM_MANAGER_Init();  This maps the flash at 0x7000_0000 and the PSRAM at 0x9000_0000. Hello,I am working on creating a timer function using the timer peripheral of the STM32H743II, with a timer range from 1 second to 3600 seconds.I'd like to ask a question regarding the frequency accuracy of the timer.Let me first explain the current timer configuration I’m considering.At this point, I am feeding a 19.2 MHz clock signal into the HSE, and have configured the APB1 Timer Clock to be 201.6 MHz. I plan to use TIM2 and adjust the prescaler(PSC) and ARR values to achieve a timer period ranging from 1 to 3600 seconds.Since the timer period is given by:Timer Period = (PSC + 1) * (ARR + 1) / (APB1 Timer Clock)If I set PSC = 20159, then:Timer Period = 20,160 * (ARR + 1) / 201,600,000 = (ARR + 1) / 10,000 This means that by setting (ARR + 1) in the range of 10,000 to 36,000,000, I can achieve a timer period of 1 to 3600 seconds.Here’s my question:If the 19.2 MHz signal fed into the HSE has a frequency accuracy of ±1 ppm, can I assume that the timer I create will also have

Hello, I have found various guides on how to configure the RTC as wakeup-source. However, they do not seem to apply to the C0 family.In the CubeIDE I cannot find the depicted settings on RTC, (most notably, no option to select internal wakeup and configure wakeup counter and clock) Is this not implemented on the C0 family? I just want my MCU to wake up from sleep mode every x milliseconds. What else can I do to implement this on a C011? ThanksLucas

I am using the NUCLEO-L433RC-P development board and in the process of designing my own PCB.But I am unsure what to do with the VDD12 pinsOn the NUCLEO-L433RC-P development board they are connected to an SMPS using an analogue switch.If I dont use an SMPS for the VDD12 pins, do I just connect the VDD12 pins to 100nF capacitors to GND (as shown in the schematic below) ?My project is battery powered (LiPo 1000mAh) so power consumption is important, but I already have an SMPS for 3.3V and 5V and running out of board space so would prefer to avoid adding yet another SMPS.  Using an SMPS for the VDD12 pins might also require additional level shifters for UART, SPI and I2C.    

1. According to datasheet, STM32U0 family have an IRTIM (Infrared interface). But this section is missing in RM0503. Also in SYSCFG_CFGR1 there is missing IR_MOD and IR_POL bits.2. In RTC section Figure 297 it is missing RTC_OUT2 and RTC_REFIN pins. See same block for STM32G0 family.3. In RM0503 section NVIC table 54, I think that PVD_PVM should be PVD / PVM. Also ADC_COMP should be ADC / COMP. WWDG should be WWDG / IWDG. TIM6_DAC / LPTIM1 should be TIM6 / DAC / LPTIM1.4. Usually each section name ends with an abbreviated name in parenthesis. Ex: Low-power universal asynchronous receiver transmitter (LPUART). And this abbreviated name is also in bookmarks on the left size of each RM. But (LPUART) is not in bookmarks in several RM possible all from the beginning. 

Hello,We've been working with the B-G474E-DPOW1 kit with the intention of building a custom project board using the G474E. I've had success starting with the example buck/boost project in the STM32CubeIDE (1.18.1). Now though I need to move the HRTIM CHC/D timer location used in the example design to the CHE/F locations.After struggling with CubeMX without success to make the change from C/D to E/F, I reverted to not using .ioc at all and instead searching and replacing what was necessary to map things over to the CHE/F timers. After fixing several mistakes, the system is very close to working as it did with the unmodified example. But there's one BIG problem remaining that I've spent hours in the debugger chasing things down. I don't get any output on CHE (PC8/9) they are always stuck LOW. CHF (PC6/7) works perfectly. I've confirmed both timers are configured the same. Any insight is appreciated!Thanks,Dave

Good Morning, I want to use a GPIO input or a ADC input as a logical reader which gives 0 or 1 if it reads 0 or 12 Volts. However, I know the maximal rating is normally 3.6 volts for those pins. However, i saw that the Adc can still read 5 volts, it willl only be stuck at its maximal value (which is not a problem for me). So here is my quesiton: Can i read 12 volts with the GPIO or the ADC without hurting my board?Best regards

Hi, I am using STM32L476RG-Nucleo64 boards for one of my ultrasound projects. Basically, the process is:1)Send 2MHz pulses with pwm2) Sample 1000points with 8-bit interleaved ADC(500 each) and DMA3) Send ADC data through SPI.4) Wait TIM3 to trigger again for both ADC and PWM and back to 1Everything is working fine, only problem is that I need the time label of each sample -Or somehow calculate the Δt between them- in ADC so that I can identify the Δt of some peaks positions in the data but it is troubling me because of maxed ADC speedI made ADC interleaved, 8-bit and 2.5 cycles to work at max speed, not like a timer-triggered ADC. Therefore I cannot measure the total 1000 sampling time for dividing by 1000 (Not sure if all samplings are done with same speed tho).I tried to measure the time using DMA callback and ADC callback using DWT but it is saying that the time is around 35ms and I know it is wrong because I can confirm with an oscilloscope that the data window I am sampling w

I have an application in which I'm required to check the status of an accelerometer 5000 times per second but it's a battery powered device so I want to minimize power consumption. I'm using an STM32L053C8 on a custom board with an external LSE crystal but I think that this would be a problem with any STM32.I've tried setting up LPTIM clocked from the LSE source to generate interrupts and then putting the MCU into stop mode. The problem is that you can only generate frequencies which are an integer fraction of the LSE frequency so 32768/6 = 5461 Hz which is too fast for my application. 32768/7 = 4681 Hz is too slow.Using the RTC clocked by the LSE is even more restrictive. The best that I can see would be an integer fraction of 16384 Hz.The regular timers TIM2, TIM6 etc don't work in stop mode.Am I missing something ?

Hello,A design I am working on utilizes a LSE crystal with the following parameters:f = 32.768kHzCL = 12.5pFCo = 0.9pFESR = 50kR MaxDL = 1uW MAXI am calculating gmcrit ~ 1.52uA/V.  According to table 5 in AN2867, the drive level should be set to Medium High, will REXT required?  The design is already produced without REXT so adding it is not advised if avoidable.I don't have the instrumentation to measure the actual drive level as it requires ~0.1pF probes for proper measurement.  There is no indication of LSE max drive current for the H7, the datasheet only specifies 550nA IDD at medium high.Should I be concerned that Medium High may violate 1uW?Thanks

Hello everyone,I’m working on an embedded project where I need to receive a variable-length stream of bytes via UART on an MCU  STM32H750. The key points are:All bytes are payload, no start or stop bytes, no protocol framing.The number of bytes is undefined and variable.The byte stream starts when the MCU is ready.I need to calculate CRC (Ethernet CRC32) over all received bytes.After receiving all data, I must output the CRC via UART.The UART baud rate is very high (greater than 900,000 baud).My current approach:I use UART interrupts to receive bytes one by one.I update the CRC continuously with every received byte inside the interrupt handler.This works fine for small data, and CRC calculation seems correct.However, when I try to receive a large file or big data stream, the CRC isnt correct, the crc will be outputed before the whole data recieved.I suspect the problem is related to handling the continuous stream without any start/stop or length information, and possibly buffer ma

The goal is to enable memory-mapped mode so the external flash can be accessed as part of the MCU's address space. Tell me about multibuffer communication in the registers of the UART. We have a description of the RXNE flag. "The RXNE flag can also be cleared by writing a zero to it. This clearing sequence is recommended only for multibuffer communication". It turns out that when using DMA, you can reset RXNE this way. But why? After all, DMA does this automatically during operation.Edited to add 'F4' and 'DMA' Labels.

I find that I need to enable the APB clock to the RTC during sleep (i.e. by setting the RTCAPBSMEN bit in the RCC APBSMENR1 register) otherwise my code won’t wake after calling __WFI(); is the AI explanation below correct? The AI also says it’s EXTI line 20, whereas the manual (RM0503 Rev. 2) indicates RTC on 28 and TAMP on 29, so I assume it’s wrong about that?The AI answer:In Sleep mode, the CPU is halted but the APB bus remains active — if the corresponding APBSMEN bits are set.If RTCAPBSMEN is cleared, the RTC peripheral’s APB interface is clock-gated, meaning you can’t access its registers — and more importantly, EXTI line 20 won’t see the RTC wakeup event, because the EXTI-RCC bridge path is broken.So even though the RTC’s core logic is ticking away on LSE, the event routing to EXTI and the ability to clear flags depends on that APB interface being live.

I have successfully completed using STM32N6 in LRUN mode and got the proper result and now I want to use Execute in place mode so please provide with all its related documents and videos.When I try to run appli code in DEV mode it does not run, it displays "Target is not responding, retrying..." and also when i try to use xspi clock to 200MHz and main clock to 800MHz even FSBL shows the same error.

Dear sir,In our custom board, we are using the STM32H747XIH6 microcontroller with Wi-Fi functionality. The Wi-Fi module part number is LBEE5KL1DX-883, and it is connected via the SDIO interface.We have properly configured the I/O pins in STM32CubeMX and generated the code. However, once the SDIO initialization is executed, we are unable to communicate with the MCU.Without SDIO initialization, the board works fine.Could you please help us identify the issue?  Best regards,Samudralnakaiah.

HiI use CPU pin 6 as ADC input ADC_IN12. I take measurements every 100us and save them to buffer[100] via DMA.I have a 1M+10k resistor divider connected to ground to the ADC input.I measure a rectified sine wave signal within 0..2V.To my surprise, after a few minutes of measurement, the signal increased by about 400mV and it should go down to zero. It turned out that an internal pull-up was created in the CPU on pin 6 and even 10k to ground is not able to lower it to zero.Connecting a milliammeter to ground gives about 0.7mA. I thought the program was to responisble for this situatiuon, but I made a test program in which the pin is only an input and the pull-up is permanent.After replacing the CPU, the problem disappears and appears after another few minutes.I checked it on 4 pieces. I have no idea what could be the reason for this, an oscilloscope connected to this input shows a rectified sine wave one moment and after a few minutes the same signal but with an additional constant comp
