STM32 MCUs TouchGFX and GUI

Hi,if I understand correctly, TouchGFX does not support sliders. What is the simplest and safest way to implement them for a newbie to the ST ecosystem and tools?More specifically two types: scrollbars (of a text window) and date-picker wheel.As a side note/curiosity, are there any plans for TouchGFX to implement those controls?Thank you :)

Dear Sir,My  STM32H747I DISO board's LCD is MB1166-A09 , it's driver is nt35510. When I use "STM32H747I DISO board" to create new project, the lcd driver is otm8009a. May I change the default driver to nt35510 ? Thanks.

It would be useful if an item (widget) added to a screen which is a container, showed the name of the container in the properties window. I have a lot of different containers and if I need to make changes to the container, sometimes I have to go through almost the whole list of containers to find the one I need. If the properties window in the top right of the designer window showed the name of the container, then this would be easierMaybe also a quicker way to jump to the container either from the screens tab (context menu for example) or via the widget properties window. It is useful btw having an appropriate icon for each widget in the screens tree because you can at least tell if it is a button, line, container etc

I'm using NHD-2-8-240320AF-CSXP-FCTP display. I try to get a white background on my LCD panel. However, it isn't operating. To interface with an LCD, I use FSMC. Where I made mistake. Please any one help me

Hello, I'm developing using stm32f476-DISCO. Until now, we have made development easy by using external RAM. Hi,I'm trying to do some initial test of STM32U5G9 by creating a new Touchgfx project.The LCD is using ST7701S controller.I have configured the LTDC settings like this:The LCD is connected like this:Has anyone here tried a similar LCD before? Any samples project that can be shared?If I replace the original screen that came with DK2, then it works.

I installedTouchGFX Designer and want to add components to my project but there are only a few in the provided library. I even did not find the buttonUp that was used in the Button Example. Where can I get more components ? I want to make 3D vector figures that change angle by parameters ( I have gyroscope MPU-6050). 

I tried to send a LIN frame by creating a task .The code didn't conatin any error but the frame wasn't sent What could be the problem ? This is my project

Hi,I am using the TouchGFX video widget to play custom videos on the STM32H747I-DISCO development board. I am able to play videos by placing them in the assets/videos folder and modifying Screen1View.cpp as described in the MJPEG Video . The video playback works as expected on this board, as shown in the the image below.      However, when using non-ST development boards, such as the Riverdi-RVT101HVSNWC00-B and my custom development board, I encounter issues. The video widget does not display the video, even though it works in the simulator with TouchGFX. The screen remains blank.TouchGFX simulatorVideo not show on screenCould you please advise on how to resolve the issue of using the video widget to play videos on development boards other than the official ST boards?

Hello all,I'll be starting a project in TouchGFX designer from an existing template, say STM32F469I DISCO. How does the code generation by the TouchGFX designer and CubeMX interact? Say when I add an UI element and regenerate the code in designer, does it respect the hardware changes done in  CubeMX? Or, if I do some changes in CubeMX (for example, add some GPIOs or an UART), does CubeMX generation preserve all TouchGFX code?Is there an order I need to be aware of or can I mix both? What about custom code I added, will it be overwritten by TouchGFX designer code generation? I work a lot with CubeMX so I know how the system with the tags work.What about CubeMX not used standalone, but from within STM32CubeIDE? Thanks! Martin

I'm trying to run two threads when using TouchGFX. One is TouchGFX_Task and another is custom. Problem is that custom task requires about 30ms uninterrupted run.Problem is that running two tasks - one is interrupted which causes issues. If TouchGFX_Task is higher priority - screen works ok, but communication with external device is interrupted in another task. If TouchGFX_Task is lower priority - screen freezes and becomes unresponsive.Tried suspending and resuming TouchGFX_Task with osThreadSuspend() and osThreadResume() but it just stops updating screen (just like with changing priority, tried with commented/uncommented versions)Changed Preemptive mode to Cooperative in FreeRTOS configuration but did not help. Considering trying to use semaphores and/or mutexes however I'm unsure how to proceed with TouchGFX_Task to stop it so no issues arise when suspending and resuming task.Or maybe there is a better way to achieve something like this when using TouchGFX ?Below is sample code of ma

Hi,I am playing with a G071RB evalboard + GFX01M2 display shield atm and noticed some faulty code being generated by TouchGFX designer 4.24.0. The evalboard features a User Button and the display shield has a joystick-like control element with 5 contactsThe TouchGFX Designer generates a MB1642ButtonController.cpp which has bugs in the getKeyState method.First failure is to return characters instead of integers, e.g.keyPressed = '5'instead ofkeyPressed = 5this fails when compared with "Key": 5configured in the .touchgfx file. Because of that no button press is registered.SecondFor the User Button on the evalboard the same method returns 0 (zero).keyPressed = 0;But zero is also the default value, so the button press is ignored. Hello, I am trying to modify the start and end points of a line I have created in TouchGFX from outside of the screen code generated by touchGFX.  I would like to be able to modify the end points from my own source code files by calling line1.setEnd(240, 240) or even creating a function inside of screen1view that would update the endpoints. Thanks for any suggestions!

Have seen in the community page that "TouchGFX can also be used on Linux, and even though the TouchGFX Designer cannot be run natively on Linux, the code generate by the TouchGFX Designer works on both Linux and Windows." but how , please help me in answering the below question that would help me: 1.Is it possible to edit the make file from the source code which generated by designer? 2.Is there a option to design screen for iMX boards?  3. What is the possible way to use TouchGFX for iMX boards like iMX8.

Hello,I saw couple questions being asked back in 2019, 2020 and 2022 on this topic but with a hope that situation may have changed, I am asking to get some clarification.I have a requirement to run the TouchGFX on a Linux based HMI.Priority would be to run on Yocto Linux running on iMX6 board, or else run on any other HMI that has Ubuntu as the host OS.Using the designer I can get simulator.exe that can run very well on windows, however if I can please get to know if any support available to run this on Linux based systems that would be great help.Hardware is not STM based board. Would like to use TouchGFX Designer as HMI development tool.Is it possible? Thank you for your support and consideration.
