STM32 MPUs Embedded software and solutions

Hello everyone,I am using the STM32MP135 SoM from PHYTEC, and I’m creating a custom device tree source (DTS) file tailored to our carrier board. I’m having trouble controlling the backlight PWM signal. I’m unable to enable the PWM and enable signal as expected, although I can change the enable pin status if I remove the enable pin definition from the backlight node. Additionally, there is no [used] indication next to GPIOI pin 0, which I’ve configured as the panel enable GPIO. I suspect this issue may be related to the LCD node configuration.I’ve attached my GPIO states and the DTS file for reference.

While I got some experience with Cortex M devices - including several STM32 families - and Linux as host OS, I'm pretty new to asymmetrical dual-core systems like the STM32MP1 devices.What sets them apart is the tight integration of both cores, and the ability to run realtime bare-metal applications in close cooperation with Linux as a host OS. Or so I think.What I got already are the MP135-DK on the way, the OpenLinux Dev package installed and running, and a small user space application built. Hi Everyone,I have problem with custom carrier and dts. I am using MP135 SoM from PHYTEC and when I add panel backlight property to the panel node, there is no pwm output, but when I comment out this feature from the panel node, the panel backlight works as expected. Can you check my dts? I am using a generic RGB display. Hi ST Team,i am facing the issues for installing the browser form the last 15 days, i did not get any browser on my stm32mp157f-dk2. board ,Can you please suggest me to install any browser, just i want to check this board or processor will work for our project or not. qt-wpewebit ---> fails wpe-webkit --> faildpyqt5 --> faild.chromium --> compilation error on mesa libraries.what should i do, which browser can work for stm32mp1.and please let me know i want to use x11 instead of wayland. is it possible ?. if possible then how can i do ?.

I adapted bootloaders/optee/kernel from scarthgap branch of meta-st-stm32mp and have everything booting (tf-a 2.8, u-boot 2022.10, optee 3.19, kernel 6.1.28). Hi, there I have a stm32mp157f-dk2 board and I am following the instructions on: https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/index.php?title=STM32MPU_Developer_Package&sfr=stm32mpu to install the developer package. I've compiled all the components one by one as indicated and I am now trying to use openocd and GDB to cross-debug the board.  As I executed "$GDB -x Setup.gdb", with the correct symbol paths modified in Setup.gdb, an error message, as in the Subject line, showed before GDB aborted.  Has anybody seen this error message before ?  Thanks. Hi!I'm using the provided Kernel software from ST. The Kernel from STM32CubeIDE.I have compiled the kernel and made it start. But once In load a module by using "insmod" or placing the modules inside the /liv/modules folder, then the kernel hangs.I get no error messages so If can't point at anything that may causing the problem.It can be that my kernel is located at another partition (bootfs) /dev/mmc0p6 and not in rootfs /dev/mmc0p7 where insmod is. Perhaps insmod expecting another kernel locationI have a small thought that it might be so that the kernel from ST is modified to fit STM32MP processors and cannot be allowed to be changed. I have configure so my login session is done automatically. So once my STM32-OS starting at my STM32MP151 processor, then weston is up after few seconds.OK! Good, but I want a login as well. Have anyone any recommendation of a software for a login session that works on STM32MP1 dev boards?I have been trying with SDDM, without any success. It seems that it won't work.kmscon will work...but...it's terminal based login only. Also kmscon using standard HDMI resolution, which is not good because if your text is to small, then you cannot change the resolution inside DRM.

I have followed this guide, https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_create_your_own_machine but that doesn't work well and requires a lot of manual changing to get the image booting. (it breaks extlinux stuff)My custom board is too different as one that are supported by DK or EV devkits. What is the best way of adding my board to yocto? I don't seem to find a tutorial or guide about this.

Hello,According to the doc, the Padding header extension adds the rest of the bytes in the header to complete the 512 bytes.When parsing a signed binary with STM32MP_SigningToolCLI, I find that the padding bytes have “random” values every time. I have added wireguard-tool by adding in local.conf, its successfully builts. but when I add wireguard-module I get compilation error. So I skipped it wireguard-module. TL;DR: is there an "ST approved" method to put have a custom machine's CubeMX project AND generated code under source control?I am trying to do something similar to OP's goal in this post, which didn't receive a full response, I think.I have also gone through the "create your own machine" guide and I managed to generate a custom machine, except a couple of snags (e.g. CubeMX 6.12 adds a CA7/ element to the generated device tree path, which the guide seems to ignore, I guess it's out of date?).Now, this work needs to go to source control somehow, and the guide doesn't provide any guidance on how to do that.One option would be to fork meta-st-stm32mp-addons, point your manifest to your fork and store your work there. Hello,I have 8 pairs of public and private keys with the hashes of each public key and I would like to calculate the associated PKHTH value without necessarily using the STM32MP_KeyGen_CLI tool (for integration with our manufacturing tool).I tried to calculate the sha256 of all the concatenated hashes of the public keys but this value does not correspond to the one calculated by STM32MP_KeyGen_CLI. Is there anything else I should include in my PKHTH calculation?Thank you
