Hello,

Would the B‑LCDAD‑HDMI1 adapter board work "out of the box" to connect a HDMI display to the STM32MP257F-EV1 running STM32MP2Starter ?

Hi @mfny

yes, it should work if no other display/touch is connected to the board.

If needed, even if page was build for another board, this could help : https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_display_on_HDMI

Regards.

Searching on this forum shows there is an issue with the B‑LCDAD‑HDMI1 in that for some boards it does not mechanically mate with the host board making the connection very delicate, is this the case with the STM32MP257F-EV1 ?

Hi,

on STM32MP257F-EV1 and B‑LCDAD‑HDMI1 board, there is a mechanical hole on both board where you could put a 3mm screw with spacer.

Obviously, due to the size of the HDMI cables and the absence of enclosure, all cables should be handled with care to avoid bending or damages.

Regards.

Would you have a link to an example of "3mm screw with spacer" that would be suitable ?
