STM32CubeIDE (MCUs)

  I am trying to follow the steps from the community link below and I get an unusual messingabout "missing natures" (see paste below) when I try to open projects from file system.  I tried changingmy workspace location, but still get this message most of the time.  Other FAEs are seeing this issue as well. Any idea what causes this?  The suggestion solution is to install software that I have never heard about before. The board I'm using is STM32H747I-DISCO, and the tool I installed is STM32CubeIDE 1.19.0.I want to build a static library based on it.Therefore, I run the following steps to create the library.File -> New -> STM32 ProjectAt this time, I got the following WARNING meesage.Does anyone know how to solve this issue? I tried to build the generated project using the following actions.And then, I got the following errors.However, this file already exists, as shown in the image below. Did I make any mistakes in the steps I took to create the library? And how can I resolve these issues?

Hello,In my project, i am using 2 octoSPI devices connected to my STM32H735. (IDE is STM32CUbeIDE V1.19.0)After migrating the Project to STM32CubeMX 6.15.0 it is not possible to configure the octoSPI in Multiplexed Mode anymore. The existing config from V6.14.1 and below is automatically removed during the migration and can not be set/activated again.Is there any issue in this Version or am i missing something?best regardsAlexander

I have a ioc file created with Version 1.18.1, that enables only the OCTOSPI2 (and some RCC and clock settings).Importing this file (see attachmend) the OCTOSPI2 gets disabled, further more it is non longer possibile to re-enable it as QUAD-SPI!If added with out migration the IOC it is working as before.

I used STM32CubeIDE a long time ago but then switched to another IDE. Now for some reasons I try to use again STM32CubeIDE. I want to keep my build system (command line based on makefile and arm-none-gcc) and use the IDE only for debug. Environment is windows + STM32CubeIDE v1.10 (I know it's old but I am not admin of my machine).I created a "STM32 project" and linked it to my source directory tree then I went to Debug Configurations > STM32 C/C++ Applications > New configuration. The first problem I had is that it doesn"t find the project, so I had to browse directly for the .elfThen I disabled autobuildAnd I've got the message "unsupported build configurations, MCU ARM GCC required for debug". ARM-GCC was not included in this version of STM32CubeIDE ?Am I doing it wrong ?

Hi,i have a confusing problem, i have a simple routine to compute values and it needs to return the result as a double. just before the return the value is correct but the calling routine does not get passed this value. i know there can be some alignment issues with double variables. i am using STM32CubeIDE Ver 1.18.1 To overcome i simple create a global variable and assign this the right value and it all works. however why am i not able to return the double value?any help appreciated.Mark

HelloAfter upgrade STM32CubeIDE to 2.0.0 I have problem with programming multi core STM32WL55. Can download program to CM4 core, but not to CM0+. Before upgrading it worked OK. My STMCubeIDE is not opening the ioc files or creating STM32 projects, it is acting like the ioc files are text files, not using the STMCubeMX mode to open them. I'd already tried reinstalling the STMCubeIDE a few times, in the C folder and in other disk, tried checking for updates, confirming the installed plugins, deleting the folder after uninstalling the program and many other ways to fix it. Can someone help me?? Please

Periodically, the Add buttons in the configurator stop working and it is impossible to change values in tasks, queues, etc. The system does not respond to mouse clicks (the editor window does not appear). However, the Delete button works. Restarting the IDE helps. Hi I have installed the updated version V2.0.0 and tried to configure the MCU like before using GUI , but it is not supported then how to get GUI like CubeMX version to configure microcontroller, please help

While testing the X-CUBE-EEPROM library in STM32CubeIDE (v1.18.1), I observed the FLASH->CR register in the SFRs window. I noticed that the display for BKER (bank erase select bit) is missing in the FLASH_CR register. Please try to correct this in the next STM32CubeIDE release.

As shown in the figure, the title of the window bar seems to have become garbled, even though its content was originally in English. I thought it was due to the software defaulting to a font that only supports Western characters, but changing all the available fonts did not solve the garbled text issue. Hi,I would like to get printf() debug messages from both M7 and M4 core using SWO pin. It seems to work as expected on M7 core, but I cannot get it work on M4. Ideally, I would like to have messages from both cores in parallel, but it would be great to get both cores working separately. I have been using UART so far, but SWO sounds much better. Is it possible to get SWO printf() debug messages directly from M4 core?Is it possible to use SWO on both cores in parallel?

 I'm experiencing an issue when attempting to debug a project in STM32CubeIDE v1.19.0 using a NUCLEO-H753ZI board and ST-LINK V3 (FW: V3J16M9). The debugger appears to hang during the early initialization phase and fails to proceed with device enumeration commands.BehaviorWhen I launch a debug session, the IDE displays:Launching: Performing pre-launch check... It remains stuck at this message indefinitely. The only way to cancel is to terminate the stlinkserver.exe process manually using Task Manager. I encountered a significant problem with the live expressions during debugging, as the variables displayed erratic values and symbols when they were set as unsigned. I spent several days trying to verify this, as I previously had doubts about my code's execution.At times, the values may be exchanged or moved unexpectedly (the output of the first variable appears in the second variable's output, and consequently, all other values are displaced).Please prioritize this matter. In our organization, many individuals are encountering this problem and are considering transitioning to VS Code.

After setting the heap size to 16 GB in the stm32cubeide.ini before finally not getting "out if memory" errors, opening the "Pinout Compatible" Dialog from an existing project consumes a little over 10 GB !I found another thread where this was apparently fixed in CubeMX in 2022 (CubeIDE 1.9.0 has a heart attack on "loading compa... - STMicroelectronics Community), it seems to be back.

Has anyone had success installing the Cube IDE on a Raspberry Pi 5?  I first got the error message "Installation dir cannot be temporary one: /home/my_name/Downloads/makeself_dir_o70WRx"I tried various workarounds suggested by Gemini, ultimately creating new directory/opt/stm32_installermoving the unzipped file to this new directory and then trying .../opt/stm32_installer$ sudo ./file_name.shIt went right ahead and created a new temporary folder in opt/stm32_installer and failed in the same way again!If anyone has succeeded in getting the Cube IDE to work on a R Pi 5, please let me know how you did it.Thanks for reading this far.

The login via HELP->STM32Cube Updates->Connection to myST   does not seem to be working properly. Trying to login I first get a small splash window with a button which I can press which opens a webview(?) which sometimes displays an "Accept Cookie" dialogue. That seems to go away by itself, but I am unfortunately unable to enter anything into the username and password fields, they are unresponsive.I'm using Wayland on Linux, but my colleague running on MacOS is experiencing the same issue.Browsing through the forum, the advice I find seems to be "try again tomorrow, there seem to be issues on ST's side of things".  Is there currently maintenance going on? Is the CubeIDE backend particularly slow at the moment, or is this how things always work with Cube?
