Hello Board,I hope you are all having a great summer. I am currently trying to configure the 144 devolopment board with the STM32H723zg chip, to run the built in SAI peripheral. Specifically I want to transmit a frame of 256 bits, with 16 slots and slot data size being 16 bit. I have set the first 9 channels to be active, and the remaining to be inactive, see screen shots or attached file. After, configuration I went to main.c and created a frame of 16 slots, and filled the first 9 slots with hex 0x3FFF (0011 1111 1111 1111) and remaining inactive slots with 0. I then called the HAL_SAI_Transmit, and implemented a short delay after, in order to single out the frames being send through the serial data line.When proping using my osciliscope, I found that binary clock and frame clock works as expected operating at 8.192 MHz and 32kHz respectively. Hi,In CubeIDE it does not generate any compile error,if function is defined inside function int function_out(int i) { int function_in(int y) { } }and comparisons is written in format (0 < myVar < 100)if(0 < myVar < 100) { }As I know these are not allowed in C.Edited to apply source code formatting - please see How to insert source code for future reference.

Hello, all,I'm using STM32CubeIDE to design my first STM32 micro-controller circuit. I've used the tool to assign functions to about 20 pins on the micro-controller so far. Now, I'm at the stage where I'm creating the schematic and connecting external circuitry to the micro-controller pins.Is there an easy way to get a list of the pins I've assigned so far, along with User Labels, so I can go right down the list and wire up the circuits? What I'm doing so far is to keep the STM32CubeIDE open on one monitor and view the pin-out view, and work my way around the chip, wiring pins as I go. Is this the most efficient way to work? Is this how most others do it? I wondered if I was overlooking some built-in function of STM32CubeIDE to perform this task.Thanks for your advice and suggestions.-Kevin 

Dear @Tesla DeLorean and @KDJEM.1 I am using NUCLEO-G491RE board and i want to create external flash loader for W25Q64JVSSIQ QSPI flash memory. I used external loader files from Github and build the .stldr file and placed in CubeProgrammer. when i try to read from 0x90000000 location, i am getting read failure error. I used the below path to create external loader for W25Q64JVSSIQ QSPI flash memory,https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/stm32-external-loader/tree/contrib/Loader_Files/other%20devicesDriver code is working fine since I am able to see the data in memory mapped mode with test code provided in the github link.But, when create a external loader using github files and placed .stldr file into cubeprogrammer and working on read/write/erase and these operations are failing.Could you please check my project and do needful.  Folks,I suddenly have this weird thing where when I set a breakpoint in the Cube IDE it doesn't work, I don't get the usual blue symbol and I do get the one above. I can't even make out what it's supposed to be to Google it. Anyone seen this and know what's going on please?Thanks!

 Hey there,I’m trying to enable SPI on the NUCLEO-H7S3L8 using the Template_XIP project from STM32CubeH7RS, but I’m running into issues.First, I tried enabling SPI1 through CubeMX on the Template_XIP project, but it didn’t generate the necessary driver code. Hello :)I am wondering if there is a "how to" for how to build the stdlibc++ library for STM32 gcc tools.  I am in need of a stripped down stdlibc++ library to link with.  Can anyone point me to a link or can you walk me through it?The reason I ask, is because my compiled binary has included things like std::__cxx11::time_get and std::time_get.  There are 8 instances of this variant each with 2.76K in size.  We are using c++ but we certainly aren't using anything related to time.  Locale is another thing we aren't using.  There are two instances of std::locale::_Impl::_Impl(unsigned it) which is 1.82K in  size as well.  These functions appear in the binary even though we are using compiler flags -ffunction-sections -fdata-sections and linker flags -Wl,--gc-sections.I need to get rid of the "fluff" that isn't used from libstdc++. I am using stm32f407 in stm32cubeide. When I tried to follow the steps in the forum to access the DSP library, I found that there was no CMSIS/lib in my firmware package. Neither in both firmware package follows.This is my screenshot in: C:\Users\dingh\STM32Cube\Repository\STM32Cube_FW_F4_V1.28.2\Drivers\CMSISIn the relevant posts I found on the forum, there should be a lib folder in this folder. I‘m trying to link the dsp static library. Any idea how to find this folder？ 

I was creating an stm32 project for my stm32f411ceu6 dev board and when i opened the project i was not able to find the corresponding .ioc file for the board in order to configure the pins and clock for my use. When i created the project it showed the following error:Error downloading the following files:mcusAds.json._tmp_(Problem during download).   

Hi,    My project was working fine under CubeIDE and CubeMX until trying to upgrade it to 1.19 version.    My project disappeared even after tried to import it again (Got error).      CubeIDE always stayed in HOME page.    I had to uninstall 1.19 and reinstall 1.18.by doing below Action1 Uninstall STM32CubeIDE from Control Panel2 Delete C:\Users\rongw\.stm32cubeide\ :white_heavy_check_mark:3 Delete C:\ST\STM32CubeIDE_<version>\4 Reboot (optional but recommended)5 Reinstall STM32CubeIDE 1,18.6 Choose a clean new workspace on first launch7 Re-import your .ioc project folder (I did autogenerate code from CubeMX before importing)  Then  IDE stayed in HOME Page,     Please help,   Thank you very much!

After upgradingSTM32CubeIDE from 1.18 to 1.19.0 and recompiling a project, I got thiswarning:The clock thing is an issue with SPI2 resp. I2S2The other thing I don't understand.I'm uploading the .ioc file here.

I made my own PCB, but when I connected 3V3, GND, SWDIO, and SWCLK using the ST-Link V2, the ST-Link is recognized, but my board is unresponsive.  

Currently the behaviour of CubeIDE is to always choose the same build configuration for the Run and Debug button.Is there a way to have the two seperated? Most of the time I want to flash the Debug build for debugging and the Release build with stronger optimizations when clicking Run.It got me confused quite some times already, why the current consumption of the target is so incredible high after flashing code with "Run", until I remembered that I had a debugging session before and now the build config for the "Run" button was changed to Debug config... So, is there a way to have the two buttons not change build config simultaneously but keep them separate?

Is it possible to edit the objcopy command emitted by the Stm32CubeIDEIDE? I need to make some adjustments to keep some RAM addresses from showing up in the hex file. Advice on the internet seems to thing this is easily adjustable in the IDE. However, I do not see any place where this can be modified. Thanks,Carl
