We are using the LIS2DS12 in an environment where we sometimes exceed the configured range (i.e +- 8g).We would expect to be the positive maximum OUT Value to be 0x7FFC and the negative maximum to be 0x8000. Instead the + max value is 0x7FE0 and negative max value is 0x8020.Is this expected behavior?Here is one example for one reading of all 3 axis and reaching the negative max. value:OUT_X 0x8020OUT_Y 0x811COUT_Z 0x2EC8Example of positive max. valueOUT_X 0x5F08 OUT_Y 0x7FE0OUT_Z 0x1360

Hi,I am a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Northampton doing research on a special type of structure. As a part of our current project, I need to measure the vibration of the structural components, and I would like to use LIS2DS12 accelerometer. In this project, I am using National Instrument CompactRIO 9024 device as a data acquisition platform which works with the LabVIEW software. My questions are how can I read/import the vibration signal captured by your accelerometer product (i.e. LIS2DS12) in LabVIEW software? Can I connect this accelerometer to our data acquisition system by using cable or is it working wirelessly? Is there any internal memory in this accelerometer to save the vibration data, if yes, how can I transfer this data? Regards,Mohammad

I would like to use the MotionFX library with my custom board. My MCU is a STM32F303RE(Cortex-M4) so I included the MotionFX_CM4F_wc32_ot.a library. The project starts but does not continue after MotionFX_initialize().I am not getting any error... any recommendations what could be wrong?I have tried to increase the heap size to 0x1000 and the stack size 0x8000. I have also activated CRC in CubeMX. The MotionFX init()  starts after the CRC init(), but I still get a HardFault_Handler

HelloI use VL53L1X in polling mode to detect hand presence in the range [30, 200] mm. It works well and VL53L1X_GetResult() returns values continuously. Now I want to add window thresholds [40, 80] mm because I need GPIO interrupt to trigger some other especial functionality when my hand is inside range [40, 80] mm.  After setting window thresholds with "VL53L1X_SetDistanceThreshold()", function VL53L1X_GetResult() only returns distance values when my hand is inside [40,80]. However I need VL53L1X_GetResult() to return values continuously, regardless of the window configuration or distance from my hand to the sensor. Is it possible to do that?

For the gyro at least, LPF1 is not an anti-aliasing filter (https://community.st.com/s/question/0D53W00000Ac1obSAB/is-it-true-that-the-gyro-of-the-lsm9ds1-has-the-lpf1-low-pass-filter-after-the-adcthis-design-will-suffer-from-aliasing-not)Perhps for the acceleromter it is an AAF?In general, I'm unclear about why there are two LPF.

Good afternoon, I ran into such a problem. I use an MP32DT01 digital microphone and an STM32F411CE microcontroller. The data comes over I2S and is filtered by the "pdm2pcm" library from CUBE MX. But the sound has very strong noises, it is difficult to distinguish the voice. The filter parameters are shown in the 1st figure, the waveform of the received sound is shown in the 2nd figure. Can you please tell me what to do? How to get high-quality sound using this particular library for filtering and decimation? There is no way to use the "pdm_filter" library.

I am trying to develop a smart tumbler.Smart tumbler measures the amount of water you drink per day.Place LPS33HW on the bottom of the tumbler and measure the amount in water.I think the LPS33HW should come in contact with water.Water is eaten by people.Does the LPS33HW contaminate water?Or is there another way?The amount of water to be measured is 10 to 700 ml.I look forward to your answer.

Hi,I am using LSM6DSL in my project. FIFO is configured for the same and host processor receives the interrupt after FIFO threshold is reached. I have also configured the pulsed mode for the interrupt. After receiving an interrupt, host controller reads the data from FIFO and this cycle continues.However, I observed that FIFO threshold interrupt pin is getting latched to logic HIGH after some time. Ideally, it should never get latched since the pulsed mode is configured. I am attaching the graphs in which red colored waveforms represent the data on INT1 pin of LSM6DSL and blue colored waveform represents the data on GPIO which is being toggled in host processor's ISR after the rising edge is detected on INT1 pin.

Hello,In my application, I need LSM6DSL to generate an interrupt when configured FIFO threshold is reached. I am using FIFO for accelerometer and gyroscope.My configuration is as below,FIFO_CTRL5 = 0x09 // ODR 12.5 Hz, FIFO modeCTRL3_C = 0x 44 //BDU, Reg addr incrementFIFO_CTRL1 = 0x3C //Fifo thresholdINT1_CTRL = 0x08 //Route fth signal on INT1 pinCTRL1_C = 0x48 //Select LPF BW, Set ODR and FSFIFO_CTRL3 = 0x09 //Set FIFO ODR for gyroscope and accelerometerCTRL2_C = 0x18 //Set gyroscope ODR and FSAfter this configuration I can see that Watermark flag getting high when the configured threshold level for FIFO is reached. But I am not able to get the interrupt on INT1 pin for the same event.Please help me if I am missing anything.Thanks in advance.

Hello,I want to connect multiple voltage sensors to the nucleo board. Lets say 4 voltage sensors of same kind with same address. So, I thought I could connect all the 4 sensors with the nucleo board with the help of I2C communication protocol. Is this possible?If possible I had a doubt that all the 4 voltage sensors will be having same addresses. But I want to call all the fours sensors at a time. How can I do this.Please any help.

Hi Team,I am working on LSM6DSM sensor bringup in linux kernel-4.9. I am using the following imu sensor driver sources (https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STMems_Linux_IIO_drivers/tree/linux-4.9.y-gh/drivers/iio/imu/st_lsm6dsm). The driver is loading and the sensor is getting registered. The sysfs prints some random accelerometer and gyroscope values and When I probed the Interrupt pin I didn't get any interrupt. Is the above driver is enough to add support for accelerometer and gyroscope. ?Could you please help me to solve this issue ?Regards,Ajith.

I have tried some of the demo project from the software library STSW-BCNKT01_V2.3.0, by directly dragging the .bin file into the Nucleo 64 board icon.I'm experiencing issues with SD card demos, where the CoreSystem after programming needs to be connected to the Cradle board.In these demos, as an example the SD_Audio, the function DATALOG_SD_Log_Enable() returns always 0, getting the application stuck in the else statement:Why is this happening? The SD card is mounted, but the f_open or the f_write fails... I have tried with a 32GB microSD card Fatfs formatted.
